"Finally…huff…here it…huff…is."

After learning that 'Logan Alley' was in the south side of the city and not the east, Dante quickly ran as fast as he could before finally finding the damn place.

'That's her right?' Dante thought while looking at an average looking girl with brown hair, who was passed out on the ground. The game never specified what she looked like when she was disguised so he had to rely on the system to verify it for him.

'Yep, that's her.' Thought Dante.

That's right, she had vampire lineage coming from her fathers side. Her father is a Duke of the neighboring 'Sinnett Empire' and got together with her mother through a political marriage. While they were married, her mother gave birth to Eve and her sister Aria, but her father then fell in love with another woman and that ultimately led to them divorcing.

Eve's mother being the 5th imperial princess made her getting divorced a huge deal and made many believe that she was disloyal to the duke. Luckily she was on good terms with her older brother, so when he became emperor he allowed her to become a duchess.

Shaking away his thoughts, Dante approached the fallen girl. Reaching into his 'Storage' he pulled out some bandage wrap and began wrapping her injuries.

Finishing the wrapping, he placed both his hands on her back and started to channel his attribute into her, hoping to stimulate her attribute so it would heal her quicker.

The blood attribute which she possessed was a null type attribute and was exclusively for vampires. It came with many benefits but the main benefit was its self healing. While it wasn't good at healing others, the self healing it provided was amazing. The only reason it wasn't healing her right now was because her 'core' was sealed thanks to some artifact that 'Sombra' used on her.

After channeling some of his unknown attribute into her body, he breathed a sigh of relief. He read the book he previously bought about cultivation while he was taking a rest from running and stumbled across the 'Channeling' section. Of course, he was curious about this world and cultivation in general so he decided to read it.

'Channeling', he learned, was the process of moving your attributes energy into something or someone else. Your attribute was kept in your 'core' and in order to channel it you had to move the energy it produced throughout your body and into the thing you were trying to channel it to.

The first time he had tried it was on Eva and was unsure if it would work, but his attribute seemed to have listened to his will and sent its energy into her. He didn't push the energy throughout his body like it said in the book but instead the attribute did it on its own.

'Good job, buddy.' Inwardly Dante gave his attribute a thumbs up and to his surprise he could feel that it was…happy at his praise?

While fascinated by the reaction of his attribute, Dante heard a voice come from behind him.

"Excuse me young man, would you like some help?"

Turning around Dante saw an older man, it was obvious he meant no harm and was only trying to help, but in Dante's eyes he saw the devil. A devil that was trying to take his money!

Yep, the person that called out to him was the same old man who had helped Eva in the story and was also the one who had originally gotten the 'reward' from the duchess. So, in Dante's eyes he was nothing but a plunderer who was trying to take his future money from him.

Realizing the old man's identity, Dante quickly refused the man's help.

"No thank you sir, me and my sister are only taking a little break." he said, forcing the unconscious Eva into the role of his sister.

"Are you sure?" replied the old man.

"Yes, we are fine." Dante said in a slightly curt tone.

"Really? But if you need a place to rest you could res….." Just as the old man was about to offer his home for Dante and his "sister" to rest, an annoyed Dante proceeded to knock the persistent old man out cold with a quick strike to his neck.

'Keep your greedy hands to yourself old man!' Thought Dante, not realizing how hypocritical his thoughts were.

After quickly dragging the unconscious old man down the road a little, he returned to Eva's side and sat down, putting her head on his lap. Then he decided to cultivate while he waited for her to awake.

Diving back into the dark space or as he now knows is called the Mind space thanks to the book, he looked at the only thing which was in it, a bronze sphere. This bronze sphere was his 'Bronze Core' and was about the size of his head. His 'Bronze Core' was also what held his unknown attribute and his mana.

With his mind, Dante made his core spin causing it to be engulfed in the familiar blue/white flame. The flame was currently tempering his core.

The way to advance in cultivation levels was through this tempering. The attributes inside the core would consume the matching attributes outside of the core and change it into mana, while also forcing the core to consume this mana. When the core cant hold any more mana, the mana starts to engulf the core forcing it to adapt and it will eventually break through to the next level.

Unlike others, Dante's attribute didn't just consume the matching attribute, hell, there wasn't any more of his attribute! His attribute consumed all of the attributes causing his speed of cultivation to be extremely abnormal.

He fell into a deep meditative state, so much so, that anything from the outside world couldn't shake him.

In the outside world, a young girl was waking up from a horrifying 'nightmare' or so she thought.

Opening her eyes, Eva sat up, shocked that she was still alive.

'I didn't die, but I was sure…guh!' Her thoughts trailed off as she felt an unbearable pain in her legs and abdomen which reminded her of her situation.

'That's right, I was injured… But I didn't die?' Pulling up her shirt she saw that her injuries were now bandaged. Knowing that she couldn't have bandaged herself she quickly scanned her surroundings and came across a boy with pearly white hair sitting right beside her in a deep meditative state.

She then remembered that she didn't wake up with her face in the ground but instead on something soft. To check her suspicion, Eva placed her hand on the boy's lap, noticing that it was warm, confirmed that she was indeed laying on his lap before she woke up.

Although she found that slightly shameful, she quickly brushed those thoughts away and began analyzing the young boy, trying to see the motive behind him saving her.

'White hair is rare and no noble families that I know of have it…" She thought.

Being cautious was natural to her. For the first 7 years of her life she lived with her dad who hadn't shown an ounce of affection for her, her sister or her mom. This led to people trying to use her to get closer to her father, it wasn't that she had a good relationship with him it was quite the opposite actually, but this is also what caused them to go after her. Since she wasn't close to her father, her father didn't keep an eye out for her, making it easier to get to her. But she was still ultimately his daughter and could ask for an audience with him, people tried to take advantage of this privilege to gain an audience with him through her.

The only people she completely trusted were her sister and her mother. Her mother had always taken care of her daughters regardless of the circumstance, this led to Eva and her sister Aria having a deep respect for their mother. Not only did she take care of them but she also made sure they had a stable future, that was the reason she became a duchess after all.

After trying to find the boy's motives and failing she just sat back and waited for him to return from his meditative state. She had thought of just getting up and leaving him but her legs weren't in any shape to walk with. So, her only choices were to rather wait on the boy or wait until she could walk.
