Not all the A rank soldiers were the same this was mainly due to the origin of their Dragon blood and the compatibility that they with it, if someone was a descendent of a Fire dragon but they had a natural compatibility with water unless they developed a unique Skill that could take advantage of this incompatibility this would be a problem for most soldiers even if they had high amounts of dragon blood running through their veins.

This meant that to get the best results for the soldiers one had to receive blood that would synergize well with them but that was something impossible to predict since humans could only find out their element after taking the blood.

The soldier that went to Arthur village was a A rank Soldier that specialised in body enhancing skills, he was one of the many that had to find a way around this lack of compatibility in order to rise into the ranks, he wasn't weak by any means, but he couldn't be compared with other high rank A soldiers.

"This is the fifth village that I need to visit this month, I'm getting tired of taking kids from their families."

After walking for a while, he saw one kid training with a sword near the river, in his eyes the kid seamed above the other kids that he sent to the capital.

"That boy seems decent with the sword I hope that he has some dragon blood running in his veins."

It wasn't hard to find people training with weapons since it would be possible to kill a normal demonic beast just with a sword or a spear if you had enough training.

"Hey boy can you come here?"

The boy saw the soldier and immediately dropped is sword and went downhill to greet him."

"Hello Mister Soldier, how can I help you?"

The boy asked that with a trembling voice, since he knew about the rumours of soldiers walking around the empire and separating families.

"Don't worry I just want to check something, could you place your finger inside this toy it might sting a bit."

The object that the soldier was referring to was a Dragon Blood Measurer or DBM for short, this device was made using remaining's of dragons and some magical engineering.

When a drop of blood touched the device it could measure the potential of the person, the affinities and if he had any skills.

"This kid is not that bad, if he trains for a few more years, he could be as strong as me since he got lucky with the affinities."

The main affinities were Fire, Wind, Earth, Water and Lighting besides these ones there were a few special ones like Light, Darkness, Space and Time but these ones were hard to observe in Humans and Dragons.
