Empire pt1

Even though the human population grew exponentially the number of S rank Soldiers didn't change that much, this was mainly due to the fact that the dragon blood inside the majority of soldiers or normal humans was less than ideal, all the soldiers that appeared on the beginning of the war were hybrids that got the dragon blood injected straight into their blood vessels making the concentration stronger, while the vast majority of soldiers now are descendants of the first soldiers or assassins that contributed to the war.

This caused a huge problem because this meant that in a few generations the Lancelot Empire would perish since they couldn't protect themselves from the demons that occasionally would try to climb the walls of the main cities to cause havoc.

Unlike Elves and Fairies that could use magic thanks to the blessing of Yggdrasill that allowed them to ask favours from the elements and thus using magic humans add to develop skills.

Skills were basically calculations that allowed the soldiers to use the dragon blood inside them to cause a phenomenon.

Dragons didn't need to do any calculations since they were basically one with magic and they could materialise any phenomenon that they wanted just by thinking about it.

Giants used the power of runes to use magic while the Dwarves used magical engineering in order to produce weapons, robots or other artefacts that can release magic, but in order to produce these artefacts they needed materials that could manage, storage and release magic and that itself was a difficult, that's why they only had one Atlas.

Lancelot the current Emperor was a peculiar case since both parents were S class soldiers, since the time he was nine years old he was already stronger than most soldiers that were in the frontlines, he joined the army by the time he was 13 and killed his first adult dragon by the time he was 15.

He managed to unite all the human kingdoms before even reaching 30 years old.

Now he was past his peak but still only one's hand full of soldiers could be compared with him.

All the soldiers that managed to get close to his level received the Tittle of "Knights of the round table", this tittle was above anything since they had absolute authority everywhere they went.

"Can you focus with the issue in hands Tristan?" said Lancelot.

"We need to make this deal happen no matter what."

Currently Lancelot was trying to form a diplomatic relationship with the dwarves, he would give the dwarves some dragon remains in exchange for them to produce weapons for the knights and soldiers, but the dwarves wanted a bigger portion of the reaming's and it would take them 20 years to finish the production of the artefacts since the dwarves are the most prideful race and they are perfectionists when it comes to artefacts.

For the dwarves 20 years was nothing crazy since they could live until they were 230 years but for humans this was a long time.

In 20 years, Lancelot would probably be dead and all the Knights of the round table would be past their prime.

"Unless we manage to find some new talent in the next 4 or 5 years the demons might take over the cities that are outside of the walls".

The vast majority of demons were somewhat comparable with either B or A rank Soldiers and they tend to use dark magic, in some cases some demons had unique magic that allowed then to do unimaginable things such as making an entire city disappear, this happened last week in the outskirts of the empire in a small city near the lake, by the time the soldiers arrived at the city the lake was red with blood of the habitants.

Percival tried to interject but Lancelot stopped him.

"I know that you want to move forward with the law that forces male soldiers to have at least one kid with a female soldier in order to produce another me, but I can't accept that".

"Your majesty you should know that this is our only option at this point, we need to maximize the chances of producing offspring's that will reach the S ranks otherwise the Empire is doomed." said Percival.

"You must have forgotten what happened during the war Percival…".

During the initial stages of war the first soldiers were forcefully impregnating women in order to increase the number of humans with dragon blood, this was one of the causes that lead to the rapid growth of people with dragon blood.

"Emperor we all know that what they did was terrible but this allowed our nation to exist otherwise we would never been here if that wasn't the case." Said Percival with a sad face.
