-----I feel like this is really slow, sorry about that, I just don't want to rush it and make a mistake and be like oh shit, I forgot this or what not.-----

----Chi-Chi pov----

Flying actually felt wonderful. It was like when I was first learning martial arts from father. I felt so strong when I was a kid. I was arriving upon a town and saw a woman waving toward the sky.

Landing on the ground, I had to ask. "Are you waving to me?"

"Yeah, your friend is talking to a chieftain right now."

"He is already here! HOW? He never passed me!"

"Bit of a bully isn't he."

Thinking about it, he knew how to fly longer than I did. I guess higher power level meant faster flying speed. No wonder he suggested his bet.

"Let's go then..."

"Mind if I ask what in the world you are wearing?"

I wanted to curl up in embarrassment.

-----Z pov----

"Well, Well, Well. Look who finally joined us."

"You cheated and you know it."

"I didn't cheat, you just didn't realize it was unfair."

"Same thing."

"Anyway, Chieftain Muro, This is my current traveling companion Chi-Chi. We are currently on a mission to save her home from a magical fire."

Chi-Chi nodded, and I continued. "We have a few extra stops however due to them being on the way. Gathering some more dangerous items that might be misused by people."

"Is that why we are here?"

"Yes, I- Never-mind. I would also appreciative some food. I'll pay."

With the two ex-bandits outside, and the chieftain debating about how to respond. Chi-Chi was left confused. "Can we hurry this up? I don't want my home to burn."

I almost blew out air of relief when the chieftain nodded and took out the gourd of mist. "Here it is. It will only take a second for us to gather some veggies with you. However we don't have any meat to share."

I grabbed the gourd and placed it within a storage capsule and stored that into my bracelet. "We don't need meat, we just need veggies."

"Why are we getting veggies?"

"You want to learn how to cook don't you?"

Chi-Chi nodded, "I do, but are you going to teach me?"

I shook, my head. "We will get there, When we get there."

It really did only take a minute for them to gather some mix veggies. I placed them inside a fridge capsule and stored it way like the gourd. This trip was nice and simple, no extra reasons. No freaking out and wanting to kill everybody, nice and simply.

Being intelligent was hard work, I could really understand Frieza's kill them all tactic. I mean he got the dragon balls, it just didn't lead him to a very productive life after that. "Thanks for the cooperation, good luck with your future endeavors."

The Chieftain nodded and let me and Chi-Chi just fly off.

"Well that really was a quick stop."

"Yeah, speaking of which, you made a bet and like all bets. Both sides have to offer something up."

I smiled at Chi-Chi, She frowned.

"Come on, its not like I am gonna ask you to let me grope your tits or something. I just want you to loosen up. You know don't be so uptight."

"I am not uptight!"

"That is what you take from that?"

"What! No, of course I don't want you to grope me."

"That's not what I meant, see what I mean. You gotta relax..."

She scoffed and just stopped talking to me. We arrived at the Volcano that the Fire-eater was within an hour or so. With a quick drop to the ground and the locating of the cave that would lead us into the mountain. Chi-Chi stopped at the entrance.

"Is this really the way in? It is so hot."

"Glad you have those clothes then aren't you."

"That doesn't justify them...Hey, Do you hear that?"

A giant lizard appeared behind Chi-Chi. "Shhhh, we just woke it up probably. Just step away quietly."

She nodded "Ghhh, lizards..."

I noticed the two people flowing us as soon as we passed the lizard. They tried to sneak around the lizard as well. However they were stopped by it. If I was correct that was Pilaf's henchman who should be lost within these caves. Kidnapping them would be good, they would likely end up following us out of greed which would be good. I would need to mention something worth it out loud though. Otherwise they would be to stupid and end up killi-

"AGHH!"

While crossing a rocky bridge it seems Chi-Chi fell. "Did you seriously fall?"

"Shut up! You are-"

I jumped down after her, "Shhh you found the egg. Now we just have to hatch it, Ain't that right you geezer!"

A man inside a what looked like a space suit came out from some rocks. "How'd you know I was here."

"I have my ways, This is the fire-eater right? We need its egg shell."

I could clone these birds for something as well.

Chi-Chi jumped up in slight joy, but when I looked her way she stopped trying to act cool. The old man just unlatched his helmet. "Who are you two though? You young man clearly know I was here so you must be someone special..."

He was likely referring to the fact he was a researcher. "I know the Brief's family, I recently helped their daughter with some research. I however am also a martial artist, and a few other things. This is my current companion Chi-Chi. She is here to save her home from a magic fire. You know how it is, telling you are researching this bird."

"Eh, yeah speaking about the bird, where is its mother? Shouldn't she be with its egg?"

The old man looked a little sad, I actually felt bad for him. I already knew the truth, but he was clear on his. "It died, a while ago...Forty years ago, the volcano erupted and The Mother Fire-eating bird was crushed by a boulder...The legendary bird no longer exists in this world...Only its egg remains."

"Its amazing you kept it alive then, for forty years..."

I rolled my eyes, so it was a forty year old child. I nearly laughed thinking of an imagine of the bird living in a basement. Its mother saying its still its little baby. "It will need to be hatched."

"I am not sure it can hatch...It may be to weak."

I counted down mentally, with a classic 3,2,1...and right on que the volcano shook. The ground exploded as a giant drill pierced the wall. Pilaf's gang jumped from the drill and tried to act smug, "We're extremely grateful you found the-"

"Shut up Mai, literally know one here cares. If the dog speaks I am gonna shoot it."

They both froze, and they tired to sputter something but i just lifted my hand with a glowing beam of light. "So anyway As I was saying, the egg needs to hatch. Thankfully, we just need to wait now."

"Wait?"

"What is going on here?"

Chi-Chi looked confused and the man now looked a little panicked. "You mustn't hurt the egg!"

"Pfft, I won't just these two. If they try too..."

The dog raised his hand, "You may speak."

"Do we know you?"

"No, but I know you. You work for Pilaf the so called emperor of nothing."

"He's-"

"I will blast you into oblivion."

"Z, this is a little extreme!"

"It's fine we just have to wait, trust me."

Everyone just sat in silence as I stayed pointing a beam at the two. Pilaf was still inside the drill, likely sweating. Watching the camera's he could likely tell the blast wasn't aimed at his henchman, but instead himself. He was a smart guy to build the shit he did. He just had a blindness to anything other than his goals.

Within a few seconds however, a loud screech echoed through the tunnel Pilaf drilled through. "There's the mom fire-eater..."

"What, but I'm..."

"Shhhhh, old man. These tunnels are long. It got lost."

While I was distracted and the fire-eater came crashing through the too small hole. Mai and the dog guy got in the drill again. "Emperor pilaf! Let us back in!"

I cracked my neck, "Good thing they are leaving. We totally can now go and fix the the rare and valuable Furnace of Eight Divisions. They say its caretaker can grant any wish! Just like the dragon balls..."

Chi-Chi looked at me like I was crazy, I whispered to her. "*I want them to follow us there. None of what I just said was true."

"*Oh, Okay, but we are still fixing it right.*"

I nodded, "*Still need one more item.*"

She nodded and we let the Pilaf gang drill through the volcano again escaping.

The old researcher, honestly I didn't know his name, spoke. "I can't believe it! Its alive!"

The giant purple bird started to drink the lava. While the old man wept. "So that's why we had to wait? You knew the mother bird was alive?"

"Yeah, she will hatch the egg for us."

Speaking of...I tapped my bracelet, preparing to grab some of the fire bird DNA to clone it. After all its not like this bird was asexual.

[The Fire-eater tapped at the egg like a woodpecker slowly cracking the shell.]

I was astonished to see the shell begin to crack into completely symmetrical octagon shaped cracks. The shell cave and the baby emerged, but I was just blown away by the egg shell.

"Its a miracle!"

"Wow, Z, its amazing..."

"Chi-Chi I am inclined to agree. Look at its shell! They are perfectly symmetrical!"

She kind of just opened and closed her mouth. "What are you doing? Acting like a fish? Quick collect the shell."

"You want the shell?"

I nodded as the old man began helping gather the pieces, Chi-Chi just sat there not helping...

I stopped only a moment to collect the DNA sample from my miniature drones. Pocketing the sample back into my bracelet for later.

Eventually we made it outside the slowly collapsing cave, and we watched the Fire-eater fly away.
