Chapter 5: The Path to Divine Power (P1)

After the previous day's events, Ryū woke up feeling strained from his failed attempt to access Super Saiyan. He got up and roamed the fortress frequently questioning himself why he couldn't transform into a Super Saiyan. He was confused and needed guidance.

He left the palace to find Yasuko. He found Yasuko meditating out in the open and approached him.

Ryū: "Good day master. I'm sorry for lashing out yesterday, it's just that... I need guidance. I need to know what I'm doing wrong. Why I can't become a Super Saiyan."

After Yasuko heard what Ryū had said, he thought back to what Whis had said the previous day and he understood what he had to do now.

Yasuko: "After your failed attempt to access Super Saiyan, I've come to realize that there's a different path to power.

Super Saiyan is just one of the many different ways, but it doesn't seem to work for an individual such as you who has access to divine power."

Ryū: "Divine power?"

Yasuko: "Yes. It seems you have the ability to tap into the power of the gods, but how you're able to is still unknown.

You may be a descendant of Yamoshi, but I've never heard of divine ki being passed down as an inherited trait.

As you are now, you can tap into the power of the gods. It's an incredible gift considering your young age.

So now your new objective is going to be to master divine ki and make it your source of strength and ability."

With that being said, Yasuko decided to take Ryū down to the basement where he had archived all of his scrolls. Yasuko explained to Ryū that the basement was where he archived different scrolls containing information that might help Ryū progress in his training.

Yasuko took a scroll from one of the shelves containing information on divine ki and how to access it. After that, he brought Ryū to a secluded spot on top of the mountain above the fortress.

Ryū sat down cross-legged and began his meditation.

Yasuko: "Let your mind rest and relax. Search for the power that lies within you, the power that surges through you.

Let it flow through to every part of your body. You must centre yourself and find a balance within yourself, maintain control over your energy, and create a stable foundation, one that cannot be broken easily.

Then what I want from you is to take that surge of energy and shape it into a form that represents your true self. Let it be your Divine Saiyan energy."

Ryū would go on to meditate the way Yasuko had instructed him to for the entire week, only focusing on balancing himself and his energy.

For Ryū to balance his power, he would have to have a strong body both physically and mentally. So he would undergo physical training to build his body to maintain such immense energy surges so that his body would not rip itself apart.
