Chapter 28: Tracking the Parasite!

The enemy's capture took all of ten minutes to achieve. Once Arlic saw that she put up no further struggle, he watched as Cacao took her back to their ship for study. Flexing his stiff shoulder muscles after such a tough fight, looked to his side at Daiz. "What's our status overall?" Daiz responded by tossing his lord a [Sensu Bean] before answering. While Arlic chewed, he listened carefully to his subordinate's report.

Roughly twenty minutes later, Arlic had a clear picture of the current situation. "Hmm… all enemy forces are easily being dealt with? That's excellent news!" That was indeed good news, if he wanted this world to follow him, he needed to quickly deal with its rising death toll. It would prove him capable in the hearts and minds of [Planet M-2]s people.

Pausing briefly, Arlic got to the main issue of Daiz's report. "So, the parasite is attempting to flee, is he?" Smiling, Arlic continued. "Well, that was within expectations. What is his current position?" In response, Daiz held out his palm. A moment later a green colored, full-scale holographic map of the planet appeared. Pointing to a blinking white dot which was clearly leaving the planet, Daiz spoke. "The parasite is currently in route off world. Its vessel is primitive compared to our technology. Should we intercept it?" Daiz lowered his hand, the hologram disappearing.

With his hands clasped behind him, Arlic pondered for a moment before responding. Shaking his head, he spoke. "No. Cripple it once it's left the planets orbit. Keep track of any life signs aboard and have a long-range teleportation matrix ready for use at any time." Likely, the parasite was still in its [Infant Stage]. If that was the case, then it would not be much threat to him or this world. Still, it never hurt to be cautious when dealing with the unknown. While Arlic had his memories from his first life, things where already different. [Planet M-2] was an example.

Realistically speaking, it should have taken the [Machine Mutant]s around twenty years to conquer it. But evidence showed that it was proceeding much faster than it should have originally, with nearly three mega cities already destroyed. If Arlic had not intervened, he had no doubt that within five years' time, the whole world would have no organic life left. It would have been a terrible waste of talent. The people of [Planet M-2] were technologically advanced and possessed both enhanced intellect and superior [Power Level]s, with most of its children having a little over >300BP each. That fact alone made it worth bringing this world into the fold.

With that in mind, Arlic remembered the parasites creator, Dr. Myuu. Though, in reality it was the other way around, with Dr. Myuu being the parasites creation. The first of this worlds [Machine Mutant]s to be exact. Looking towards Daiz, Arlic asked after Myuu. "What of the parasite's helper, is he with it?" Shaking his head, Daiz responded. "No, my lord! We have already captured him, and we are currently in the process of transferring him to the [Salvation] for study." Nodding his head, Arlic gave his acknowledgement. That was one headache out of the way. While Myuu was not dangerous to Arlic or his forces, the knowledge that he possessed was most definitely dangerous to [Planet M-2] and its people.

It was Dr. Myuu that created all of the [Machine Mutant]s that Arlic and his forces had annihilated so far. That meant that his removal was needed, necessary even, in order to stop their continued creation. Looking towards the ruins of the city all around them, the bodies of the dead, it made Arlic realize just how much that this world had suffered. More so, he knew who was to blame for that suffering. Simply put, it wasn't the parasite or Dr. Myuu, but his own people, the Saiyan's who were at fault. There was no point in thinking about that though, as it was much too late to change such things. The damage sadly enough, had already been done, besides the Saiyan's had met an end that Arlic found to be entirely ironic given their nature.

Stirring from his restless thoughts, Arlic gave another command to Daiz. "Go and regroup with the others. Afterwards, re-establish contact with [Planet M-2]s leaders and give them a full briefing on the situation… within reason, that is." Flexing his right arm, Arlic looked down at his armor. It had taken time to repair itself, much longer than it should have. Arlic suspected it had something to do with his last opponent, but that was nothing more than speculation. A full analysis would need to be run on his return. For now though, he had another opponent in mind.

Before Daiz left he gave one final order. "Make certain that they understand that we will not waste resources on their people. If they want their dead resurrected, they will need to join us. Just make certain to be… gentle about it." Arlic wasn't against helping, but if he was going to go through that kind of effort, it needed to be worth it. Looking up, he smiled, then vanished as Daiz flew away. It was time to finish this.

Sorry its late folks! I hope you all enjoyed Chapter 28.

Chapter 29 should be up in a few weeks time. Later everyone.
