"Sir! Broly has arrived!"
King Skewer was immediately put on edge, his whole body tensing while his heart quickened.
It had only been a few days but the fear in him was brand-new.
"Send him in," he said, sitting on his throne uncomfortably.
Broly walked into Fire King Castle, familiar with the scenery and architecture but raised his eyebrows when he saw who sat on the throne.
"You were the king?" Broly asked confusedly.
King Skewer's heart quadrupled speed, sweat ran down his face as pure fear gripped him by the balls.
"I BECAME the king, I wasn't before! I swear on my life," he said panickedly, not wanting to meet the same end as the former King.
'You're scaring him' Yami said, deeply amused by the King's squirming.
'How? I only asked him a question!' Broly thought, not understanding where everyone was so afraid of him.
Each of the guards on his way in hurriedly cleared his path and fled from him as if he was going to eat all of them up. All of the civilians that were laying tiredly on the streets were all packed away, nowhere to be found.
Yami laughed again but went silent.
Broly sighed but continued to speak.
"The ki crystals-"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! My assistant will take you to the fire crystal mines where we get our ki crystals from, feel free to take as many as you like!" King Skewer spoke quickly and fearfully, unsure how Broly would take his words.
He couldn't offer any crystals to Broly immediately as the scholars fearfully but surely predicted that it would be economic suicide so he could only point to the direction they produced their crystals and hope Broly was willing to work for it.
"Really? Thank you very much!" Broly said before turning to the assistant, who nearly pissed himself when he saw Broly.
To Broly, this was a very sweet deal as he had much confidence in his ability to work and take as much as he needed.
"F-Follow me..." he said, unhappy that he was calling death's disciple towards himself.
Broly followed King Skewer's assistant who whimpered quietly completely terrified as Broly followed him.
As soon as Broly left the King let out a tired gasp.
Any enjoyment Lord Skewer had from becoming King was thoroughly sucked dry when he remembered that a biological weapon capable of exterminating his entire race was cheerily walking around.
A messenger had declared that most of the soldiers Broly encountered were left alive but thoroughly injured, the hospitals flooded with bodies that were on the border between life and death.
Some of the soldiers also told stories about how Broly was untouchable throughout the whole battle, tearing through hordes of men with single strikes. Some rumours even suggested he was able to use his special powers to detonate the fire crystal armour and blow up some of his enemies.
Lord Skewer and Queen Drizzle both saw this firsthand.
While they couldn't mourn the death of King Grill because they all knew what he was, that didn't make his death any less pitiful, something one wouldn't wish on their worst enemy.
As the majority of Fire City was made of fire ki crystals that meant that Broly could plunge the entire city into a massive pit of fire at any time.
This was beyond terrifying.
King Skewer couldn't rest easy as long ad Broly was on his Planet.
"Sizzle!" King Skewer called out.
"Yes my lord?" Advisor Sizzle asked obediently, much happier with the new king.
"Have we collected the late king's sword from battle?"
"Yes my lord," she replied softly.
"Send it to Broly as a gift," he said, trying to get Sizzle's opinion.
Advisor Sizzle smiled widely.
"Excellent idea my lord, it is done," Advisor Sizzle said, walking away.
"Oh! One more thing!" Lord Skewer called out hesitantly.
"Yes my lord?" Sizzle said, patiently turning around.
"Are you free tonight?"
Advisor smiled warmly at King Skewer.
"Yes, my lord," she said cooly, before walking away, practically floating.

The Fire Crystal Mine was a deep underground structure, a cave below ground level where bundles of red crystalline rock shimmered gently, using the little light that came in to shine. The vast majority of the cave was regular rock, where the stone used in the city was taken from but large clumps of red crystal were scattered around the room, faint traces visible.
"Here you go, sir!" The assistant spoke quickly and then hurried away, acting as if his life depended on it.
Broly approached one of the walls in the cave, placing his hand on the solid rock that trapped some of the few crystals that were visible. Broly looked up into the moonless night sky, once again reminded that the Fire Tribe had been digging for centuries.
Broly breathed in and out, controlling his ki and forming a long pickaxe made of green life energy.
'Let's get started!'

Queen Vegeta was deeply conflicted.
She had stolen about four or five shirts of Broly's when she first arrived but after the incident happened when they were training she felt weird whenever she wore them.
'That guy, as huge as he is, is still just a kid, I need to get back to Planet Vegeta quickly'
Queen Vegeta could tell where the trajectory of their relationship was going.
She couldn't dispute the fact that Broly's body was eye candy and his kind and calm nature made her like him more and more as time passed. If Broly approached her, grabbed her by the waist and kissed her, she didn't know if she would have the willpower to resist.
She didn't marry King Vegeta out of love after all.
Images flashed her through her mind of Broly approaching her, using his strength to pin her down.
Queen Vegeta's face lit up like a Christmas tree as she breathed in and out, pinching herself to stop her thoughts.
"He's just a kid," she repeated to herself.

"This is hard work!"
Broly laid flat on his back staring at the sky from the bottom of the crystal mine.
Although only a few minutes had passed, a huge pile of crystals, rivalling the one in the middle of his ship, shimmered gently as the sun slowly moved positions.
'To be honest, I expected you to last a little bit longer,' Yami said, realising that Broly's stamina wasn't as freakish as he thought.
Out of all Broly's physical attributes, his stamina was considerably lacking.
'It's very important for a man to have good stamina, especially in his legs! This is a fundamental life skill!' Yami said strictly.
'Really?' Broly asked, never hearing about this before.
'Yes!' Yami said like it was obvious.
'Get back up and keep mining!' he said to Broly.
'I have decided' Broly said sitting up.
'You definitely want to kill me'
