Chapter 3: First Steps

A Couple Minutes Later....

Nira can be seen looking at a incubation pod with wide eyes filled with shock. It was not the fact that Kakarot looked almost exactly like his father in terms of looks although maybe partly. But it was because like the other infant she saw earlier, her son was also born with a tail!

"Before you ask, no I don't know why he was born with a tail. And believe me, I was also surprised to see that he was born with one. And before you question it further, here's his information to see what you think." Taro then hands Nira the datapad that includes Kakarot's information as she quickly goes through it. She smiles seeing his power level showing that he is a mid-class warrior as she and her husband were both low class warriors at birth. When she sees what the data says about his condition, she couldn't help but feel slightly worried but regardless, she'll raise him just like any normal saiyan.

"So when can we let him out?" She asks wondering when will Taro empty out the Incubation pod as he just pulls out his data pad and just clicks a button and the liquid within Kakarot's pod begins to drain slowly. Speaking of him, while the process is happening, he begins to open his eyes for the very first time.

(Kakarot POV)

I don't know how long I've slept in whatever place I'm residing in but I can finally open my eyes as all I see are blurry images before my eyes readjusted correctly.

What I see really astounds me, It seems that I am a Saiyan from the tail I can see from my reflection but for some reason the environment feels different, from what I can see while inside the incubation pod; I see what seems to be two Saiyans standing next to one another but the male who seems to be dressed in some lab coat leaves while nodding at the female. But there's a few things that are odd to me, they both did not possess any tails and the fact that their outfits look more advanced compared to what I remember from the series.

Am I not on Planet Vegeta? Is this a different universe altogether? Why is the technology here make Planet Vegeta look basic in comparison? Before I can think further, the liquid within the pod is now completely empty as I see the male Saiyan scientist come back with some some sort of armor. The best way to describe it is that the armor plates, greaves, and armbands are blue, and the undershirt and shorts are black. Oddly enough, I can't help but feel a sense of familiarity while looking at what I think is my armor for when I get out of this pod.

(3rd Person POV)

As the incubation pod empties out, Taro puts down a set of armor on a nearby table.

"When he gets out, put this on him and I wish you good luck cause he'll have a bright future ahead of him if you guide him onto the correct path." Patting Nira on the shoulder, he proceeds to leave to deal with the other infant that was also born with a tail but unlike Kakarot, she is rowdy and seemingly more feral to deal with despite being released from her pod a few minutes earlier than Kakarot.

Nira not knowing what to do, quickly grabs the armor as the pod then begins to open and before Kakarot could fall to the ground. She quickly catches him and covers him with a nearby towel that was located next to the pod.

"You look just like your father." Nira whispers to herself as she prepares to let Kakarot put on the armor that Taro gave to him as she takes in the fact that she's gonna to have to nurture him all alone as tears begin to appear in the corner of her eyes because her husband never got the chance to meet him like she did.

While quickly wiping her tears away, "Kakarot come on let's go home." Kakarot after putting on the armor nods as she softly grasps onto his hand as she guides him out of the facility.

"Alright before we go, we have to get you an identification card so you can freely travel without any trouble especially since you have to go to the academy once you hit the age of six." While grasping his hand, Nira then goes to a nearby computer system as she quickly types out Kakarot's information since every newborn Saiyans have to get one. Once the process is over, the identification card then prints out as Nira grabs it and puts it in her pocket.

After showing her and Kakarot's identification card to the medical employees at the front desk, they both walk out of the medical facility while heading to what Kakarot will call home.
