Chapter 6: Escape

Raiden had never thought he would receive such a massive boost in his stats so early on the stage.

How Raiden got this power? Let us go back to the flashback of Chapter 4.

For example, if you touch a Saiyan, you will acquire only the primary stat boost of the average 'current' Saiyan race. It means you wouldn't develop Saiyans' ancestors' actual stats and abilities.

Note: The Host might have a chance to acquire more Racial Bloodlines, but these will not be unlimited. So be cautious of what Racial Bloodline Host chooses to accept.]

[Instant Revive Mode: You will be revived with 1 HP after your death one time. It is activated for 35 hours only.]

[Skill-Rank-Up Card: Host could increase the rank of any skill by one rank. Like: Basic -> Advance]

"Ooooo! You have got to be kidding me! This is just straight-up cheating!!"

Just thinking about acquiring bloodlines like this made Raiden jump with joy. Now that he didn't have to rely on his basic human stats. He could develop more tough racial skills like, for example, saiyan, namakian or…

"Frost Demon…"

While acquiring a bloodline was a cheat, it had its limitations. For example, if he were to acquire the Saiyan bloodline, Raiden wouldn't have the abilities of old Saiyans. Instead, he would get just average Saiyan Zenkai and a monkey tail. The same reason goes for the mutation that Broly and Freeza had.

However, the same can't be said with Freeza's bloodline, Demon Frosts.

Regarding Raiden's knowledge of DBZ, he thought that Freeza had pretty sturdy bloodline among all races. They could survive in space even with just a head. This wasn't the case with Freeza's ancestors like Chilled.

"Oi, system, is there an AI I could talk to?" Raiden asked since more generic systems had some AI to inform the protagonist about their functions.

[System AI: Yes, the system has a database to inform hosts with all necessary knowledge.]

"Then tell me, will I get a power boost like Golden Form, survive in space or have severe injuries if I get Frost Demon's bloodline?"

[System AI: While Golden Form shall be impossible with ordinary bloodline, Host will be able to acquire remaining abilities.]

"Then, it's decided then. I am gonna start with Freeza troupe instead of generic Saiyan troupe." Raiden smirked and formed a plan.

And that's how Raiden ended up acquiring his first power-up. Since he became of Freeza's race, he also grew a thicc tail.

"That's better than a monkey tail! Ops, my Freeza is coming out~!" Raiden chucked and decided to test some punches and kicks in the air.

However, he had little time since he was still in enemy territory.

Raiden walked for a few steps before he came into an open area.

The planet Raiden was currently on was one of Cooler's sub-base. As such, security was strict on the planet. And with Raiden's power level, he would soon be traced, so he couldn't stay much longer.

However, there were two factors in his favor.

One, Raiden had been on this planet before. He knew the planet's layout, where can he get rations, food, fuel and a freaking spaceship.

Two, no one on the planet had a power level above 50,000. It was high for Raiden to face, but he could quickly get away with his increased power level by levelling up and distributing SPs.

Without wasting any time, Raiden began to form a plan to escape this planet.

Several hours later, Raiden finally escaped from the planet in a small spaceship. He could have chosen an Attack Ball, but those interstellar pods could only be used to travel to a designated place and within the galaxy.

Raiden's current spaceship wasn't fast as an Attack Ball, but it was more technologically advanced, and with enough fuel, he could travel to another galaxy.

"Few, thank goodness. Everything went smooth-"

BOOM!

Just then, something hit his spaceship.

Looking at the back screen, he saw several silhouettes of spaceships following him. Those were the Cooler's army following Raiden.

With their advanced ship, they would catch up on Raiden soon. He would be fighting an interstellar army if he didn't do anything.

And to rub salt in the wound, Raiden's spaceship took some critical damage.

"MY DAMN LUCK!" Raiden cursed his luck again.

He didn't know why he couldn't catch a break. Whenever he got a power-up, trouble would come to his doorstep.

"I have to get away from them!"

As he was thinking of getting away from the enemy, he thought of a plan when he saw the star of the solar system.

It was a shorter star than Earth's massive fire giant, but the gravity would work for Raiden.

Raiden moved his spaceship towards the star in its gravitational line.

The plan was simple: Raiden would use the star's intense gravity as inertia to take a turn, but he had to get much closer to the star.

"Let's get with this!!"

And thus, Raiden moved his spaceship and increased its speed. Several alarms began banging, warning Raiden of the danger, but Raiden turned them off. He had done this several times and was aware of the risks.

Soon, Raiden's ship got closer to the star. The head from the star was intense enough to melt the spaceship's exterior. If Raiden was just some ordinary human, he would have already passed out, but this wasn't the case now.

Cooler's army continued to launch multiple projectiles, but only a few hit his ship.

"Come on! Just a little more…!"

Just then, Raiden increased the ship's speed to maximum level when he was near the star's surface. Instead of diving straight to the sun, Raiden used inertia to drive his spaceship out from the star.

However, it wasn't the end of his quest. Raiden opened the small shutter of his ship and fired Omega Beams at the army.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

With his increased power level, the scale of destruction also grew. Because of the explosion, the spaceships behind the first unit couldn't keep the momentum and dived into the star.

Their defeat was confirmed when Raiden saw several notifications in front of him.

[Level: 21 -> 25]

"Haha…" Raiden smiled weakly upon his victory.

Although he came victories in his escape, now his ship stopped working.

His only hope was to crash on the nearest habitable planet he had registered before the ship system went off.

"I'm sleepy…." Since there was nothing Raiden could do, he closed his eyes. He didn't have any hope but to wait and wait endlessly.

"Wha…"

Raiden didn't know how long he was sleeping when he opened his eyes and found himself in a healing pod. His wounds were recovered, and so was his HP.

Raiden then came out from the healing pod and changed his clothes. Since he had a tail now, he had to adjust his new suit.

After putting on a new armor, he grabbed some hard space snacks before heading to the main room. There he found one orange humanoid alien Raiden was least expecting to see.

Raiden smiled warmly since that alien was Lemo, his ex-superior.

Raiden walked towards Lemo and sat on the co-pilot seat beside Lemo.

Lemo had already noticed Raiden, but none spoke for a while.

"So… how have you been?" Raiden then gave up and initiated the conversation.

"Fine," Lemo answered with a single word.

"Your people?"

"They are in a safe place."

"Want some snacks?"

"I hate the grape flavor."

After a few exchanges, silence once again occupied the room.

"Argh, fine…!" Raiden sighed and spoke while looking at the dark sky, "I am sorry. I was just drunk with power, and my mind was in a mess."

"…I am sorry too. I forgot how much you hated being under Cooler. Someway along the time, I forgot free will exists in this universe." Lemo smiled and scratched his cheek, "Also, you looked really cool when you said that heroic line before your supposed death."

"Haha, I have always been cool. If that purple lizard hadn't existed, I would be… Cooler."

After a second of silence, both of them burst into laughter.

"Pfff, that was a lame pun!" Lemo laughed and rubbed his tear, "So, you got another power boost? I tried to check your power level, but my scouter got busted."

"Yeah, let's say I could blow up a planet now. Besides, I also got this!" Raiden smirked and raised his tail. It was of the same color as his skin, and he could move his tail freely.

Raiden moved his tail and switched on a movie on the screen. It was only an 18+ space movie featuring lizard-like aliens with a seggs scene. It was supposed to please Freeza, but Freeza just outright massacred the film crew after that.

"Cool." Lemo raised his brows with amazement, "So where are we heading?"

Raiden smirked, "A blue planet called Earth. For some training and for some wishing."

Now that all barriers are gone, Raiden could focus on training his body and acquiring new skills. Especially Ki Sense or Ki Control, as it was a must skill that Raiden must acquire.

"By the way, Raiden. I have been meaning to ask, but… is it me, or has your hairline just… moved?"

Hearing Lemo's odd question, Raiden laughed jokingly while caressing his forehead.

"Haha, what are you saying, Lemo? I am fi- !!!!"

Just then, a bunch of hair slipped into Raiden's hand.

Widening his eyes, Raiden realized the side effects that came from Freeza's race.

"SHHHIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!"
