Pan gets Permission to join the BSDBR Team

"Hurry up Shu," Mai orders her fellow agent, "it's been weeks since the whole Garlic double-crossing business and Emperor Pilaf is finally ready to try again. We have to prepare everything before take-off tomorrow."

"Understood," Shu says loading the boxes of food onto their spaceship.

Meanwhile, Emperor Pilaf is waiting inside the shuttle in the master bedroom, frowning as he remembers Garlic Junior's betrayal.

Garlic... you ruined my plans, but I will get my wish!

With his help, I'll get access to all the corners of this galaxy!

Meanwhile, back on Earth at Capsule Corporation's headquarters during the chilly night, the world's largest intelligent space shuttle is being built.

"Preparations are 90% complete, madam Bulma," a woman's voice speaks through the ear bud she's wearing.

"Alright team," she smiles, "next step is to install the intelligence program. We're almost done with Capsule Corp's largest project so let's go all out!"

"Yeah!" they cheer.

Meanwhile 7000 miles to Jupiter's orbit, Bulla's team is still conducting experiments to simulate their space suits and the barrier system.

"Hey Goten, how's your mobility impacted?" she asks him from inside the minishuttle.

"It's better than the previous one: temperature's ok, comms are clear, and my movements are sharp. A ok, here Bulla," he responds.

"Alright, and you Goku?" she asks.

"Same here, Bulla. This suit is awesome. Can I check for Instant Transmission, now?"

"In just a sec, ok?" she instructs, "Ok!" he replies.

"Pan, Maron?"

"Everything is stable here, too," they respond.

"Alright team, next step is to test Goku's Instant Transmission. we all clear?"

"Roger," Goten, Pan and Maron confirm; "Yeah!" Goku smiles.

"Countdown to your Instant Transmission Goku, 'kay?"

"Alright!" he says, before they flicker from Jupiter to the field on Earth where Vegeta stood, while in his super saiyan form.

"Roll call!"

"Pan here," "Goten here," "Maron here," "Bulla here," "I'm here too! Woo hoo!" Goku exclaims.

"Tch... Kakarot," Vegeta says, frowning.

"Vegeta, your energy's as strong as ever!"

"Just concentrate, clown!" Vegeta frowns but it only makes Goku laugh.

"Alright Goku, take us back out there!" Bulla instructs.

"Adios, buddy!" Goku waves Vegeta, "to Trunks... everybody ready?"

"Yeah!" they confirm and they flicker back to Trunks who's in his super saiyan form while wearing his space suit.

"Yo, Trunks we're back!"

"Ha ha, I know Goku, and in record time as always," he smiles.

"Roll call," Bulla announces.

"Pan here," "Goten here," "Maron here," "Bulla here," "Trunks here," "and I'm Goku!"

Bulla smiles and announces to her team, "alright gang: the first stage of our experiment is a success!"

They all cheer upon hearing her words and she continues, "now we test for the barrier system. All aboard!"

After they join Bulla in the spaceship, Goku transports Maron and Goten back to the field where Vegeta's waiting and then teleports back to the spaceship.

"Alright, Trunks, Goku: you guys ready?" she asks to which they nod.

"Experiment 2: the barrier system," she announces, "Ok, engage!" which cues Trunks to kneel on one knee and with his left hand on the floor of the spaceship transmits his energy to completely cover the spaceship in a layer.

"Alright," the layer changes into a sphere containing the spaceship.

"Done Bulla!" he confirms, "Ok, we're headed to the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter," she says.

They all take their seats as the spaceship travels through the Asteroid belt not attempting to dodge incoming impacts, and the barrier proves to be impenetrable, effectively preventing damage to the spaceship.

"The second experiment is complete! The Barrier is effective."

"Woo hoo," Pan, Goku and Trunks celebrate.

"Now then Goku, take us home!" she instructs, "Ok!" he teleports the entire spaceship back to the field beside Vegeta.

After Bulla's roll call to which they all respond, the experiments are successful and they are ready for the Galactic adventure.

"Bulma," Vegeta relays to her through the mic in his hand, "They're back. the experiments were successful."

"Great, thanks honey," she responds.

Meanwhile back in space where the Pilaf gang is resting and storing up supplies for the remainder of their adventure through the galaxy too, Shu leads the giant-sized mechanical warriors Pilaf invented onto their spaceship.

"Mai, all the hunters are accounted for and docked in place."

"Roger!"

She switches on her ear buds to message Emperor Pilaf, "Emperor. We're all set for tomorrow's takeoff."

He picks up the ear bud that he'd placed on the table in the center of his massive master bedroom, "Understood Mai."

Shu joins her in the control room after taking off his space suit, "Hey Mai, so where's the next destination?"

"We're off to meet with the galaxy's greatest genius... at least that's what it says here on the To-Do list the Emperor left with us."

"Oh yeah, that guy," Shu says, "but it's strange right? We refused to work with him the first time..."

"Well, the Emperor's secured an appointment and we're going so that's all there's to it, Shu," she snaps at him, "Now get to work!"

"Eek," he gasps, "yes, Mai!"

Meanwhile high above the clouds in the sky on the lookout, Dende and Piccolo message King Kai:

"It seems everything is working out smoothly," Dende says.

"Indeed, these guys have been working hard for weeks to get that spaceship built," King Kai adds.

"Yeah, Capsule Corp is rallying the world since this is their biggest undertaking."

"Inpressive, Earth's technology rivaling thr Freeza force's would be the biggest news if word gets out to the other Kais."

"Hey, let's stay focused on why we're here Dende," Piccolo interrupts, "King Kai, this journey would be smooth sailing for this mission if you help guide them through the galaxy, we seek your permission!"

"Ah, yes of course," King Kai sweats:

Man, Piccolo is always focused... he hasn't developed a sense of humor even since dying fighting those Saiyans.

"We're grateful, King Kai," Piccolo thanks him,"Dende and I will always be on alert to receive your updates."

"Mhmm, right," King Kai nods.

A few days later, the shuttle for the Galactic adventure was ready.

The world was broadcasting this momentous occasion on every channel.

"Today's an unprecedented day, because the Brief family dynasty led by Bulma Briefs is attempting the first Galactic adventure shuttle takeoff!" One reporter says on the scene.

"Even the world champion Mr Satan was invited for this momentous occasion and we'll ask him his impression on this great day in history!"

The journalist makes his way to Mr Satan and Buu.

"Mr Satan, what do you have to say about today's launch, and the Galactic adventure shuttle?"

"Ha ha, that's right! The galaxy will see that this world isn't just the home of the World Champion but also the greatest genius! Ha ha ha!"

"Thank you for your words, World Champion!" the journalist says meanwhile the people all over the world cheer for him and the Capsule Corporation.

"Hey, Bulla," Bulma calls her through the ear bud, "Are you guys ready?"

"Just a sec, mom."

"What is it? Hey talk to me!" Bulma asks through the earbuds.

However at that moment Gohan, Videl and Chichi try to convince Pan to stay on Earth.

"Pan, you know it's too dangerous. You can't go!" Videl tells her.

"Pan, sweetie, don't you want to stay here with me... I can teach you how to cook and many other things," Chichi begs her, "Please sweetie, you should stay here, where you'll be safe."

"Pan, please!" Gohan begs.

"Mom, dad I promise I'll be a great help to them! I want to go with them, please don't stop me."

"Oh, Pan... outer space is dangerous."

"All the more reason to join them," she smiles and they gasp, "I'll take care of Bulla alongside Trunks and grandpa and we'll gather the remaining Dragon Balls and keep this galaxy safe!"

"Pan..." Chichi tears up.

"Grandma, don't worry. I'll take care of myself, I promise."

"Pan, why?" Gohan takes off his glasses as he asks, "Why can't you just stay here with us, your family? And be safe?"

"Dad, I want to go on an important adventure," she smiles at him, "I want to do it with grandpa and my best friend: I will not get another chance like this one."

"Ah!" Gohan gasps and Videl comforts Chichi.

"Dad, remember when you told me that even though dad died before your birthday and uncle Goten was born that you were happy even though you were sad because he told you to be a scholar, just like you wanted?"

Gohan's pupils dilated, reliving that memory in that very instant.

"Well, can I please get your permission too?"

Videl and Chichi start tearing up meanwhile Gohan's in shock at his daughter's resolution to join the team that will go on the adventure throughout the galaxy.

She continues, "Your permission to do this with my grandpa and best friend?" she clasps his hand.

"Pan, I..." He mutters as his wife and mother look at them.

"Dad, please."

"You promise... you'll be safe? you'll come back safe and sound?" Gohan asks as he closes his eyes.

"We'll be alright! I promise."

Gohan manages to agree to letting her join the adventure team, "Alright Pan. Come back home soon, safe and sound!"

She hugs her father, she's smiling and tears roll down her eyes. Her mother and grandmother hug them.

Chichi kneels in front of Pan, but she wipes the tears off her grandmother's eyes and says, "I'll tell you all about our adventures when we return."

She also wipes her granddaughter's tears, "Sure sweetie."

"Stop crying, grandma," Pan smiles and hugs her.

As Chichi stands up, her mother Videl kneels and hugs her as well before saying, "you'd better return in good shape young lady... (sniff) you'll have a lot of school work piled up!"

"Yes mom, I'll study during my freetime, promise!" she hugs her mother.

"Mom, grandma, dad, thanks. We will take lots of pictures and I'll return with a great story of our adventures!"

They wave goodbye, "Stay safe Pan."

'Uh huh, bye."

Trunks, Bulla and Goku watch as Pan returns from her emotional goodbye to her parents and grandmother.

"I'm ready guys."

"You good girl?" Bulla asks her friend.

"Yeah, don't worry."

"Here's your space suit," Trunks hands it over to her.

"Thanks, Trunks." She runs into the changing room and returns ready for her adventure with friends and her grandfather.

"Pan," Goku smiles at her, "we're going to have a fun adventure."

"Yeah, let's do it grandpa!"

As they walk into the extremely large spherical space shuttle, all cameras are on them and the viewers around the world cheer for them.

Bulla, Trunks take care out there Vegeta thinks.

Meanwhile Bulma holds his hand and asks, "they'll be alright, right?"

"No need to worry, Bulma," he says to her, "They're going to be just fine. They're with our children after all."

Bulma smiles, "yeah."

"It's almost time to count down to liftoff," the journalist says, "as the crew for this unprecedented voyage have just entered the Galactic adventure shuttle BSBDR."

"Huh? What the heck's that stand for?" a few viewers ask fellow viewers but no one knows.

After the global countdown, the shuttle takeoff and cheers explode all over the world wishing them a fortunate voyage throughout the galaxy.

Pan, stay safe put there.

Goku, please take care of our little girl.

Bulla, Trunks stay safe.

Don't screw this up, Kakarot.

"Alright, seems they're taking off Piccolo!" Dende says.

"Yeah," Piccolo says, "King Kai, it's time."

"Alright," he responds, "Goku, can you all hear me?" King Kai asks.

"Yeah, King Kai... Loud and clear," Goku responds.

"Ok, so Piccolo, Dende and I will be monitoring your journey to guide you on your journey."

"Thanks King Kai."

"Don't mention it."

"Alright, Black Star Dragon Balls Retrieval Team, good luck!"

"Roger!" "Wa hoo!" Goku exclaims.

"Grandpa, you were supposed to say roger!"

"BSDBR team, you have exited the Earth's Solar System," the shuttle's intelligence program announces.

"Whoa," Goku remarks.

"Alright gang," Bulla takes off her seat belt, "We're in the clear."

"And on our way to the Dragon Balls, yeah!" They reply.
