Volume 21 True love

All kingdoms dressed in black for a week mourning the loss of Yuri, his casket was made of glass with diamonds at the bottom. Shion wasn't available at the day the funeral was held, Nara knew it was best for him to miss the whole process. It was tradition to name a new mother before the birth mother was buried. As the final rites of Yuri were performed, Victor looked at his face and said, "This isn't how I wanted our relationship to end, I never wanted to part ways with you in this manner. I still cant believe this is my final goodbye, you were the greatest person ever. I am glad I ha the chance to meet you, thank you every second we spent together. Even for a day I wish to meet with you again, I will raise our children well. You are their mother, and for the rest of my life I shall keep your memory alive. I love you very much." Nara and Usagi were holding the twins, they were shown their mother. Anya was dressed in Yuri's robe as per tradition, to show she was the new Queen. Victor held out his hands as Nara handed him his son, "My dearest son, from today onwards, you are Prince Juan." Usagi looking at the girl with a smiling face said, "My darling granddaughter, from today onwards you shall be Princess Yuna." Victor led the way to the graveyard; he was holding Yuri's portrait in his hands. Anya followed behind with a banquet of white lilies, all the royal were moaning behind Yuri's coffin. Mike was present at the funeral; his heart was racing like crazy. When the funeral was over, he immediately informed Shion and the crew, they were on their way to Shion's kingdom.

Victor was in a bad shape after Yuri's death, he would come home drunk hallucinating seeing Yuri. His father Lord Usagi was worried Victor would die of depression, Nara looked after the twins. When they cried a picture of their mother or his garment would immediately calm their mood. Nara was worried they would end up getting attached to their dead mother. Anya was officially welcomed to the royal household, she expected Victor would welcome her back and love her like before, but the waters had changed. Victor at their wedding night never touched her, he got drunks and slept cuddling to Yuri's garment. Usagi decided to confront his son, he offered him a cup of coffee. Victor said, "Sometimes I wonder if Yuri would have been alive if I hadn't had sex with Anya. No matter how much I recreate the moment he is never coming back." Usagi placed his cup down, looking at his son's crying face he replied, "Fate is gruesome at times, but we have to embrace the present. I was deeply hurt with my wife's death…you comforted me out of my misery. Whenever I looked at you, I saw our symbol of love. Yuri doesn't want to see you drowning in tears, rather he needs you to properly look after the twins." Victor knew his father was right, he climbed upstairs to his children's room. Victor saw the twins crying their lungs out, he said, "Juan, you are a perfect replica of your mother. He had quite a feisty temper like you but very much loveable, when he smiled, he was the most beautiful human I had ever seen." Nara smiled as he listened to Victor standing at the door. The twins slept listening to Victor's stories, he kissed them goodnight and tackled them to bed. Usagi was disheartened to receive Mike's resignation letter, he hoped to spend more working as the royal doctor. Mike grateful answered, "I have urgent work to attend to, the time l will spend on my research is indefinite. I have selected the best doctor to take my place." Usagi wrote a huge amount of cash, Mike gladly accepted the cheque. He quickly snuck a few pictures of the twins before he left the palace.

King Henry's health deteriorated as each day passed by, his mistress Lady Merah assisted him on his journey to recovery. Shion used his mother's old wing to keep Yuri, no one was allowed to set foot on the manor without his permission. Daniel and Lucy had already settles with all the equipment they sneaked inside the palace. Yuri was placed on a bed, he looked so white and pale. When King Henry summoned Shion to his chambers, looking at his son he said, "As you can see my days are numbered, you have to step up and take over the throne. A throne requires you to have a partner, I have asked Merah to…" "My partner is in my mother's manor." Shion disturbed his father's sentence halfway. King Henry was surprised, "With no further delay I should meet her at once to bless your marriage." Shion followed behind his father as the two of them walked to the manner, Lady Merah was instructed to stay behind. King Henry was shocked to see Yuri lying on the bed, he asked, "What have you done? Isn't this the Crown Prince's wife who was buried recently?" Shion clenched his fists, "I have no intention of letting him die…" King Henry slapped his son. Daniel ad the others were eavesdropping, "Why are you troubling the body of a dead man? How can you envy a man? How will you produce an heir?!" Shion knelt before his father, "I have no intention of letting Yuri die, you can disown me and cast me out…I will be where my Yuri is. I have no interest in having an heir or the throne, all I want is to see Yuri happy. If you kick him out, then you have ousted me also." King Henry had never seen his son filled with emotions, he turned his back and said, "All I ever wanted was to see my son happy, I know losing your mother was painful and terrifying. I might have failed to save my loved one, but I have all hope you can save your lover. However, I need a grandchild to carry out our lineage, promise me that and I shall bless your marriage." Shion expected full blow drama, he smiled with tears pouring down his eyes, "I promise." King Henry removed his ring, placing it in Yuri's hand he said, "You have to fight your pain and return to this world to make my son happy, I bless you with a give of eternal love…may you always support and help each other till death separate you." King Henry was amazed to hear the stunt they pulled behind his back to kidnap Yuri.

Two years passed, Shion was forced to marry and have an heir with a Princess from Qin Kingdom. As soon as his son was born, Shion divorced his forced wife and took full custody of his son. His son had crystal blue eyes similar to Yuri, his face was a perfect replica of Shion. King Henry as a proud grandfather named his grandson Takato, he was a priceless treasure of Jang Kingdom. A week after Takato was born Shion took him to see Yuri, he placed him on Yuri stomach, he took a picture, "You two look adorable. Takato smile for your…mama" Shion each day took Takato to see Yuri, his health had improved since he would breathe by himself. Shortly after Takato's birth King Henry passed on. The day his father died, Shion cried bitterly before Yuri. All royal families paid their respects to a loyal and humble leader, Victor personally held a banquet of flowers for his funeral rites. Shion found comfort in his son and Yuri, he was crowned the new King. Shion rejected endless offers of wives from every kingdom. After his father's death, Lady Merah was chased out of the palace. Merah went to stay with Queen Anya in her big palace, her cunning ways had got her cast out. Shion had tons of responsibilities, he looked after his son, managed the company and the kingdom.

After another year had passed Daniel and Lucy were worried Yuri would never wake up, they knew euthanising him was the best course of action. Daniel offered to have a word with Shion, as Lucy was swabbing his teeth, she turned her chair, "His Majesty will absolutely lose it, he has been waiting for so long, four years. We might have agreed to play along for another three year…we saw slight improvements, but they weren't enough." Daniel looking at Lucy said, "I had a word with Mike before he left to pick up the injection…." Lucy asked, "What is wrong?"
