Volume 10 The tragedy

Work was hectic for Victor in the morning, when he was done during the afternoon, he called Yuri in the office. Victor said, "Come and sit on my lap, it's bonding time." Yuri looking at Victor replied, "We are at work, I am going back to my desk…" "Just do it for ten minutes and I promise to let you eat what you want for a week." That was a tempting offer since Yuri hated vegetables, moving closer to him Yuri said, "That's a reasonable offer, but only this once for five minutes." Yuri comfortably sat on Victor's lap facing him, picking up a book Victor said, "I will read a book for the baby." Yuri facing the window replied, "No scary stories, and make sure you are done in five minutes." Victor opened reading the cover, "Adventures of the little lost kitten, it sounds adventurous." When Victor finished one-chapter Yuri demanded that he reads the next one. The hormones made Yuri emotional, he cried when the kitten was hungry and cold, Victor patted his back. When he finished the book Yuri had fallen asleep, Victor carefully placed the book down. There was a knock on the door, Victor used magic to open the door. Gia and Shion entered, Victor whispered, "Please keep your voices down, they are asleep." Shion felt a tightening on his chest, Gia brought the file Victor had left at home. Gia had brought lunch for Victor also, she felt disgusted and hurt when she saw Yuri asleep on Victor's lap. Victor was patting his back, Shion said, "My Prince, these documents require your immediate attention." Shion handed Victor the documents, "Please take a sit whilst I read these documents." Gia and Shion sat at the couch quietly, she was clenching her fists holding back her rage. When Victor moved to take a pen, Yuri said in his sleep, "I don't want to get up yet…" Victor softly patted his back, "Rest for a while, l love you." Gia looking at them said, "I am your wife also, am l allowed to sit on your lap…will you whisper you love me too. Have you completely abandon us because of this commoner?!" Yuri was startled that he quickly woke up, Victor covered his ears to block the hash words. Victor looked at Yuri, with a serious tone Victor said, "Shion take Yuri to lunch, I will join you later." After they had left Victor looked at a trembling Gia and said, "Didn't you hear my instructions to keep your voice down? You act all innocent, but you disgust me Gia…leave my presence."

A week after Gia's outburst Victor made a decision best suited for the situation, he confronted his father to seek his thoughts and blessing. Usagi offered Victor a cigar, refusing the cigar Victor replied, "I am trying to quit." Usagi placed the cigars down, he sighed, "You want to divorce your wives, that's understandable since you didn't love them. Are you sure about this?" Victor looking at the documents replied, "I am certain about this, I have already sent the divorce papers to them. I am ready to face the storm ahead; the royals scheduled a meeting this weekend." Usagi reading through the papers said, "I guess you really care about him to go this far; I will talk with King Nara about the matter." When Victor returned to his office Yuri had already went home alone, Shion was sitting on the couch waiting for him. Shion handed him over the signed divorce papers, "I agree with all the terms, the offer is quite generous, but I want to keep my job." Victor placing the divorce papers on his desks replied, "Why would a prestigious Prince want to be my secretary? Return to your kingdom there is nothing here for you anymore." Shion bowed down and replied, "All l need is to be close to my one and only friend."

When Yuri returned home, he saw Gia throwing a tantrum in her room. the maids were trying to stop her by she threw objects at them. Nara had visited Victor to hear the root cause of the chaos. Sam tried to stop Yuri from entering Gia's room, he said, "Let me try to calm her down." Yuri with a gentle voice asked, "Princess Gia, have you been offended in any way?" Gia fuming with anger threw the divorce papers at Yuri, "Are you happy that he is choosing a commoner like you over me? You, filthy commoner slut enchanted him with your…" "I am sure there must be a mistake elsewhere, I never wanted Victor to leave you. I will have word with him…" Gia felt disgusted by Yuri's sign of sincerity slapping him so hard, "He wants to marry you because you are carrying his child, what will happen if you lose that child? I wanted to wait till you give birth and die, I wanted to wait till he could choose me over your cold rotting corpse! Now he wants to get rid of me, I did nothing wrong I am a good wife! I am a good wife and you keep provoking me, just die!" Gia took a vase and smashed Yuri head with it. Sam pushed Gia away as he protected Yuri's head from hitting the ground! Sam ran with Yuri down stairs and quickly drove to the hospital.
