Chapter 2: The Missing Prince Alice:

I woke up to panic and chaos... something was up and I didn't know what. I walked outside to see what the commotion was about.

"ALICE!" A familiar voice sounded nearby. It was Octavian. He's a tall athletic sort of guy, blonde hair, tanned skin and very bright... well most of the time. Right now he looked as cold as stone.

"What is it Octavian?" I asked trying to read him. Normally, he's an open book and very easy to read. But I just couldn't...

"He's gone. The Prince is gone." I stood there shocked.

The Prince isn't a person as you'd think he'd be... he's a dragon. Large, dark and caring. However, since his rider passed he's been distraught. And now he's gone?

"Send scouts out and-" I started but Octavian interrupted.

"Already done that Alice... its like he vanished from this world."

"Have we checked the above world?" I asked.

Octavian smiled. "Oh gods! Why didn't I think of that?!" He headed towards the stables and I quickly followed.

We approached our dragons. Mine was a beautiful pink and white angelic looking beast, the prettiest dragon in all of Daracnia, the princess of dragons and I rightfully called her Belle.

Octavian's on the other hand had a beastly dragon, dark green, yellow and orange. it's wings were attached to its spine and tail. The favourite dragon for the organisation, Xenock.

"You ready boy? We going home!" The dragon roared happily.

I looked at Belle and smiled. It's been a while since I visited earth. I miss my mom and my baby sister... and my crush. But I need to focus on finding a dragon.

"Prince now, Family later." I reminded myself and Octavian. He nodded and we set back off to the world above... Earth.

It was as beautiful as I remember. Albeit a bit more technology everywhere. "Belle, Cloak us." The dragon let out a soft roar. Belle is a beauty dragon, she can make anything fall for her charms or she can cloak us.

"Do you feel him Xenock?" I looked over at Octavian clinging to Xenock tightly. which is to be expected. Last time he rode Xenock the dragon almost perished in battle. The dragon shot down. A good sign, it meant the Prince was near.

Belle followed.

We landed outside a small house which felt oddly familiar. I knock on the door and a woman opened the door, She was beautiful and very kind to the eyes.

"Oh my gods! Alice!" Then I remembered where I was... This was my crushes house.

"Come inside, Thalia and Arcave are upstairs ill get then for you. And your friend can come in too."

Me and Octavian entered and Maria went upstairs.

"What was that about?" Octavian asked me sounding genuinely confused.

"Rememver that bo-" before I could finish 3 people entered the room.

Maria, Tall Dark haired girl who could only be Thalia. And him... He was as stunning as I remember. Bleached blonde hair complementing his skin tone, his grey eyes which always gave me butterflies and that adorable smile he always wore.

"ALICE!" Thalia embraced me tightly, I smiled and hugged back.

"It's been too long Alice. Missed you" Arcave added still smiling next to his mom. I was wondering why he wasn't coming to hug me until I followed his eyes. He was looking at Octavian. Of course he would, who's this stranger and whys he in my house, its understandable.

Arcave started "Who's th-"

I interrupted quickly. "This is Octavian, I met him abroad." Octavian smiled and walked towards Arcave and puts his hand out.

"Nice to finally meet you. I have heard a lot about you from Alice." Arcave turned red. I guess it was quite hot inside his house so it makes sense.

Arcave POV:

Alice has come back after 5 years. Alice and me have been friends since I was 7 and she was literally like a sister to me. And now after all this time she's back. I couldn't be more happy.

I would've hugged her but I got distracted. She had brought a friend from her new school with her. He was beautiful, and his smile was bright. I could feel my heart quicken in his presence. He put his hand out in front of me and said.

"Nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you from Alice." I took his hand and shook it. I tried to talk but all that came out was a stutter of words. It sounded like gibberish. I thought he would've thought I was weird... but instead he laughed. He has a very cute laugh and I could feel my face heat up.

"Why don't you take Octavian and Alice around town Arcave?" I smiled and got my head straight.

"Right! Ye a lot has changed since I last saw you Alice!" Alice smiles at me. It felt like old times.

Octavian's POV:

Alice has great taste in guys. Arcave was so sweet and incredibly cute. But he's hiding something... I can't put my finger on what. But right now I was enjoying being back above the ground rather than in it. We walked around this small town Arcave lives in. It was nicer than the old town I lived in. Much more greenery and quite a beautiful town center.

"Hey Arcave?" Alice said. Arcave turned around and smiled at her. His smile was warm and bright... He and Alice deserve each other. "Sup Alice? You got a question?" He asked.

"Have you seen any Dragons on the news or something?" I stared at her blankly. One of the rules of Daracnia is do not let humans know the existence of dragons unless chosen by the Order.

But Arcave's face went pale and I could tell he knew something.

"Uhm... Actually I have..." My eyes widened and I looked towards Alice. She was staring at Arcave, studying him... Trying to figure out if he's lying or not. But he wasn't. Arcave pulled out a picture of a dragon... 'The Dragon Prince' was written next to the art... and it was the Prince indeed.
