The day before war

To the surprise of the God Council war was already brewing in the continent as humanity was split into two, The Humus the ones who cannot wield magic but only use magic imbued items and magus the ones who can wield magic to use it according to there wishes. The magus race was native to the cold southern continent where they rule in a confederacy based government for the high council rules them and most importantly they were highly advanced when they are compared to the humus race which made the gods favour the magus race to win. Humus on the other hand where split apart into different tribes at the eastern part of the continent as the ones who were living at the south near the shores of the vast seas made the first contact with magus race which intake turned out to the creation of the Costal city of Xeroth built by both Magus and Humus race but later after a century humus race was kicked out as it became a newly formed domain for magus race. The southern tribes where thriving as they do massive quantities of trade with them but the northern ones were warmongerers as they had to survive from the attacks of the fearsome orc raids from the forests of dargudum. Which created a rivalry a hate amongst the north and the south. The man destined to Unify human race was part of the warmongerers as he was Markos Darius Imperetus son of a peasant whom became a warrior to gain riches. He created a band of warriors to unify tribes and create one nation of course, many didn't wanted to stand under him which made him do many atrocities making him the most feared humus of all. Markos had a daring ambition and for to accomplish it he must Unify the entire north and attack the south thus taking the resources of the southern tribes then arming themselves to finally take the rich city of Xeroth so they can mark there dominance over the eastern part of the continent. But it was difficult for he had to fight two fronts which was the northern orc raids while facing the southern tribes. Well, in the end he conquered 387 out of 563 tribes in the north and amassed a massive armada consisting of 73,654 Infantry men. He marched them onto the north plundering the remaining tribes before heading to attack the orcs. His campaign was successful as he decimated the entire orc clan but some ventured deep into the forest preventing an all out extinction. He did suffer a lot of casualties which made him forcefully do conscription and even created a plan to increase the productivity and population of the tribes he ruled. He made a rule which stated that all women must give the tribe twenty babies as this led to a massive amount of brutal time period in the history of humus. He waited for three years before gaining the necessary amount of strength to attack the south as he now had a trained 88,000 infantrymen and 26,000 cavalry men along with 300 catapults. He knew that he was spending everybit of resources on this for if he fails the entire northern humus race will perish but if he wins a total dominance and a rise of an empire. The entire army slowly marched as they were getting closer and closer towards the Southern tribes as the sun was slowly rising marking the beginning of a new era which is about to start.
