Chapter 2

She isn't sure how long she slept for, but she could faintly see some light coming through a closed window she didn't notice earlier. As she went to sit her body up, she was elated when it wasn't in as much pain as it was when she woke up the first time.

Trying to stand up, she is actually able to do so, but she began to wobble shortly after taking a few steps. At least she knows she can stand up now, meaning she is indeed healing much quicker than she would if she was still on Earth.

She isn't sure why though. She has the same body as she did before on Earth, except she now has white hair, which she just noticed. She was unconscious going through the portal, but it seems something happened which caused her hair to turn white. She knows it is her body as she still has a big scar on her stomach in the same spot as she remembers. She suddenly remembers something and brings up her status again.

'Right, my health was at 220/220 even when I first saw it, and I was heavily injured at the time, so why did it not go down at all? Are my injuries not corresponding to my health? Hah, I just hope that it will actually go down from now on if I am injured.' Nytri thought to herself.

She gets back in bed and had just lay back down on it when the door opened and the old man from before walked in. Seeing her awake, he nodded to her and sat on the chair he did the day before and began speaking to her.

"So, I can see you are much better now. It seems like you can at least get up and move a few steps now, which is good. Anyways, I will tell you a bit about the world now, so you can get used to your life here faster. The world is called Kal, as I told you yesterday. This world houses many races, such as humans, elves, beastkin, dragons, demons, devils, angels, fallen angels, undead and monsters. Humans were the weakest race thousands of years ago due to not having any special abilities at the start, but a god who was the creator of humans at that time made the System every human uses nowadays. No other race besides human has access to the System, it being unique to us. Sadly, about 3000 or so years ago all the gods of every race suddenly disappeared, nobody knowing whether they are dead or alive somewhere else. The System lets us check information about ourselves as well as allowing us to level up by killing monsters and beings of other races. You don't get experience for killing other humans since that would ruin the whole System being granted to humans." The old man said to Nytri who listened to every word.

'Hm, he didn't say anything about the Shop or Inventory options, are those exclusive to otherworldly beings like me? Interesting. Well, I guess it makes sense since if all humans had the Shop option in their System, they could wipe out all the other races that exist with some stuff that can exist in the Shop.' Nytri thought to herself.

"In the human lands, the continent we are on is called Maqz Continent. It is the continent where 90% of all humans live, and has a total of 3 Empires and 7 Kingdoms spread throughout the continent. Steel Empire, Zha Empire, Tra Empire, Biu Kingdom, Wei Kingdom, Fire Kindom, Water Kingdom, Snow Kingdom, Floating Kingdom, Underground Kingdom. Those are the names of the Empires and Kingdoms." The old man said.

'Hm, weird names but that doesn't matter. With so many Empires and Kingdoms, I am going to guess there is plenty of war between all of them for benefits they can have.' Nytri thought.

"Right, that's all you should need to know. We are currently in the Snow Kingdom. The reason it is called Snow Kingdom is because the founding King was an Ice Mage, and he created his Kingdom in the Ice Fields, which are always snowing. Also, I forgot to ask your name. Mine is Mar Hal. My two grand kids are called Rein Hal and Duke Hal." The old man, Mar, said.

"Right, my name is Nytri. I don't have a last name since I was an orphan in my own world and I didn't come up with a last name as I felt I didn't need one." Nytri said to Mar, who just nodded.

"That's understandable. There are countless people in Kal who don't have a last name, so that doesn't matter much." Mar said.

"Also, is it possible for you to get me some clothes? Wearing just bandages isn't all that pleasant." Nytri said a bit awkwardly.

"Ah, I completely forgot about that. No worries, I will head over to the store in the nearby village and purchase a few sets of clothes for you to wear. I will have you pay me back for that in the future though. I'll also bring some food for you to eat when I am back." Mar said, making her stomach growl, making him chuckle.

He stands up and leaves the room while closing the door behind him. Nytri just closes her eyes and decides to rest until he is back with her clothes and food, as it might help her heal faster. Mar did say sleeping heals wounds quicker in this world.

A few hours later, Nytri was awakened by the sound of the door opening again, coming along with the smell of food. Opening her eyes, she sees Mar as well as his two grand kids Rein and Duke. Mar was holding a bag that probably has her new clothes inside of it, while the two kids were carrying a bowl of soup and a cup of water each.

"Here you go. I got you 7 sets of clothing similar to what you were wearing when I find found you. I couldn't find that weird clothing you used to cover your breasts with, so I guess that is something Kal doesn't have yet. The food is just a simple meat and vegetable stew, but it should taste fine." Mar said to Nytri.

She wasn't the least bit embarrassed that Mar saw her fully naked. Not to mention that he is a very old man, she has been seen naked by plenty of men and women at the gym she worked at as the showers for men and women were right next to each other, making it easy to see the others naked whenever.

Taking the bag full of clothes, she puts it near her pillow and takes the bowl of stew that is handed to her by Duke, while the cup of water was placed on a small table beside her bed by Rein. Using the spoon to bring some of the stew to her mouth, she was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. She has had plenty of good food on Earth as the gym payed her quite a lot of money for training people, but this tasted better than most of the food she has had before. Is because of the ingredients being better than on Earth?

Not thinking about it anymore, she just gobbles down the stew fully as she was quite hungry after sleeping for over a full day. She put the now empty bowl on the small table and picked up the glass of water. She could faintly see her reflection in the cup of water, and was surprised that even her eyes changed colour. Her hair and eyes were both black before, but now her hair is white and her eyes are purple. Shrugging to herself, she drank the entire cup of water before putting it down on the table and staring at the other three inside of the room with her.

"Right. Duke, Rein, she is called Nytri. Be sure to get along with her. Both of them are 10 year old twins, so they always like to follow each other around everywhere. Ah, right, how old are you Nytri? You seem to be around 18 but I don't know if that is your actual age." Mar said to Nytri, who was surprised that she looked 18. Did not only her hair and eyes change, even her looks did?

"Yeah, I am definitely not 18. I am currently 26 years old." Nytri said, and Mar seemed a bit surprised but didn't really care afterwards. Her being at her age means she can take care of herself just fine.

"That's good then. Since you are 26 years old, you should be able to take care of yourself better than I figured you would since I thought you were much younger than that. Anyways, we will leave you to yourself to get changed. You should probably sleep again afterwards as well." Mar said to Nytri, leading the two kids from her room.

Nytri sighed and stood up while opening the bag and took out a set of clothes. They looked the same as any normal shirt, pants and panties that you could find on Earth, so she was confused as to why Mar said her clothes were weird. Shaking her head, she leaves the bandages on as she puts the clothes on, as she isn't sure if she is still bleeding or not underneath them. After she put the clothes on, she lay back down on the bed, happy to of eaten some good food and put some comfy clothes on. She once again quickly fell asleep, just as quick as the first time she slept.
