King Alacad wasn't a fool as he had picked up on the additional clause Elena had added. One which include her saying she wouldn't harm him directly or indirectly so long he doesn't bring anyharm to her.
Although he wasn't happy with the additional clause, he knew there was absolutely nothing he could do as the entire contract process had already started even him being the king wouldn't be able to stop the process when Maacah was present as a witness.
Even though he wasn't completely happy, he still felt calm knowing elena would not be able to kill him, not unless she wanted her soul to be shattered by the vampire God himself.

Afterwhich he excused himself from the court room. Zareth used this opportunity to hug Elena for their victory which was possible due to Elena and her crystal.
Also he was genuinely happy for Elena about her new change in status.
Arwin also made away towards were both of her friends were standing as she joined in on the hug.

Zareth and Arwin both laughed out loud at her innocence, but deep down they knew it would be impossible to address her without her title moving forward.
While she was happily conversing with her friends, the other lords made their way to where she was standing one after the other.
It was obvious not all of them were happy with the king's decision to mk Elena the new Lady. But none of them could challenge the authority of the king.
The each congratulated her and exited the court room. Only Lord Antoine took the opportunity to schedule a future meeting with elena.
While she was unsure about what Lord Antoine wanted to discuss with her, she could roughly guess it had something to do with her taking over the war duties of Lord raden.
Thinking about this, elena sighed knowing things will only get messy from here on out.
She then said her goodbyes to zareth and Arwin as she wanted to pay Alacad a visit since she was already in his territory.
Since it would be unreasonable for her to leave the city immediately considering the fact that they both were actually in good terms the last time they were together.
And she still needed to act like she was unaware of Alacad's visit to the fate and his actions towards zareth.
