Battle of fire and skills.

Stepping into the arena, Elena had an uninterested look on her face. The whole time, she was checking up her system screen, coming up with a plan in her head to win the match.

The vampire boy with the fire ability name was Aruh. At this point ,he had already activated his ability, and blue flames engulfed both of his hands.

As soon as the sound was made signalling the start of the match, Aruh created whips from his flames, swinging it forward towards Elena.

seeing this, she activated one of the skills she had borrowed from the claymore. "ability absorption." She stretched out her hands using it to grab the fire whip. As soon as the whip came in contact with her hands, she absorbed the entire attack, leaving nothing behind.

[Chatter. Chatter.]

Everyone was surprised seeing Elena's prowess. Some thought that whatever she just displayed was also an ability,an ability that could stop other abilities.

The person who was surprised the most was Aruh. No one has ever come in contact with his fire whip and not get burned to a crisp.

Shock was written all over his face. Seeing this, elena smirked. Pointing to Aruh, she signalled him to come forward with more attacks. She was obviously doing this to taunt him.

Without thinking he rushed forward while punching the air, creating several attacks made of flames that had the shape of a fist, all the attacks were making their way towards elena, who had a relaxed looked on her face.

Activating the skill once again, the system began absorbing the flames one after the other in a quick motion.

This time around, a notification screen opened in front of her eyes.

Seeing this, she grinned, by her calculations, sending out a fire based attack right now,wouldn't give her the result she wanted, so she ignored the notification for now.

Creating several daggers with her vampire energy, she activated the other two skills of the claymore, which would bypass any ability and also deal 10% damage upon each hit.

She began hauling the daggers towards Aruh, one after the other in a fast motion.

Seeing this Aruh surrounding himself with a wall of blue flames, also covering himself with his flames, much to his surprise the flames did absolutely noting to stop the daggers, they made their way through the walls of flames. Seeing this, Aruh quickly created a shield with his flames,hoping to block the incoming attacks.

Upon making contact with the shield, the daggers phased right through it, hitting Aruh in various part of his body, with each hit a damage of 10% was delivered to her opponent, the cumulative damage was too much for Aruh, he fell on the floor,kneeling on both legs, blood was rushing out from the several openings elena daggers had penetrated him, forming a pool of blood beneath him.

At that moment, Elena replied yes to the system notification she had received earlier. A large fire spear appeared on her hands, thrusting it forward, She hauled the spear at Aruh,who at this point did absolutely nothing to block the incoming attack.

[Fuusssshhhh]

The spear pierced through Aruh's shoulder. Letting out a loud cry, he screamed at the top of his voice.

Everyone could tell the damages behind Elena's attacks were not one to be laughed at. Moreover, they had just seen her use the fire ability as well. They all thought she had two abilities, this came as a bigger shock to all of them, including the instructors.

This was due to the fact that only vampires at the demon ranks could wield more than one ability.

Not knowing the commotion she was causing by her display of power, Elena closed the gap between herself and Aruh, who didn't even make any attempt to fight back, not that he would be able to anyway even if he wanted to.

Seeing he was in no condition to continue the match, she decided to retire to her seat.

Everyone's gaze was upon her, paying no attention to them,she sat close to Emiera.

"Girl, that was epic, too epic, I didn't know you have two abilities already," Emiera said enthusiastically. "No, I don't have an ability. Besides, I'm still in the ordinary vampire, rank like Lydia." Elena said with a blank expression on her face.

" What about the ability you just used to negate the fire guy's attacks? I also saw you using the fire ability to deliver your finishing strike. Like hell, everyone saw you using both abilities," So how can you not be on the demon rank yet? she said at the top of her voice.

Without saying another word, Elana just shrugged her shoulders and focused her gaze on the stage, where the next participants were already fighting. She had said her truth whether emiera believed her or not wasn't her business.

All she wanted was for the trial to come to an end so she could focus on getting stronger. Moreover, she had a lot to ask dracula, questions she couldn't ask now, with the trial still going on.

The combat trial finally came to an end after several hours. All participants were to retire to their room to rest for the day before the last trial phase, which would be held the following day.

Existing the arena hall, Emiera and Elena both decided to go check up on Lydia one last time before going back to their temporary rooms.
