Today's Lesson: Matthew 10: 24-42

* Jesus Sends Out the Twelve

1. Read verse 28, Explain it in your own words in not more than 3 sentences.

Answer: We should not fear the ones who can kill or hurt us. But, we should fear God for He would punish us both body and soul in hell.

2. V32 says "Everyone who acknowledges Me publicly on earth, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven"

a. In what ways do we acknowledge Him on earth?

Answer: A. we acknowledge God publicly on earth if we profess our belief on him. If we do not sin. Or if we abide our faith in Him.

b. In what ways do we not acknowledge Him on earth?

Answer: B. We do not acknowledge God on earth if we lie to others or if we steal money from others.

3. If Jesus is the Prince of Peace, what do you think he meant in 10:35-36?

Answer: I think he meant in v35.-I came to turn sons against their fathers, daughters against their mothers, and daughters-in-law against their mothers-in-law. v36 Your worst enemies will be in your own family.

4. How is this different from the peace mentioned in Romans 5:1; Philippians 4:7; Galatians 5:22?

Answer: Romans 5:1 - By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace[a] with God; Philippians 4:7 - Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel; Galatians 5:22 - God's Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful
