005 Xavier

Panic started climbing to Taylor's throat with each echoing step he took within the king's halls.

CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK!

"King Xavier will have my head if I don't hurry with the information."

He silently thought to himself. The information he held was of utmost importance and he needed to reach his majesty as soon as possible.

A shiver ran down his back as he began thinking of the type of person Xavier was.

Xavier was well known for being not just the strongest, but most ruthless player in Luna.

Having hit level 1500 he was untouchable.

Possessing strength that surpassed the Divine. No one could come close to matching him.

Furthermore as one of the three kings, he had no patience or tolerance for anything.

Over the past five years he established his reign as one of absolute fear. If one didn't bend to his will...death was a mercy he very rarely gave.

Within the twisting halls of Xavier's castle, Taylor took several shortcuts and hidden passages to reach his objective. The size of the castle was incredibly massive that even with these, he still faced an endless stream of tunnels and doors.

As he passed through several floor guards and floor bosses consisting of the strongest players in Luna, he remembered why this place was so massive and intricate.

The castle was designed to protect the sealed entrance to the 100th floor. Against what or who, no one could say for certain, but there were rumors scattered about.

Ever since The Three Kings came into power any chances of escape from Luna were impossible.

The Kings had told everyone across the floors of Luna that they were sealing off entry to the final floor because of one man.

The Strongest Sword, Em.

He had confessed to them that after months of research, he found a way to clear Luna and keep all the powers and abilities gained, while still being able to return to earth. His plan was to enslave the entire world and those remaining in Luna as well.

However, with what little kindness existed in his heart, he extended the opportunity to rule at his side, to his three closest.

Upon hearing this, the would be Kings came to a decision to protect everyone on earth and Luna. Despite the weeping in their hearts, they continued forward with betraying him and with what would be an indescribable battle known to everyone in Luna as-

The Battle Of The Shattering Heavens

Three of the top players against the sole pinnacle of power.

Those lucky enough to have visited the battle site some time later would all say the same thing.

"The destruction that was left behind was to such a degree that even the gods themselves would fail to cause such devastation."

While the fight was intense, The Kings endured and pressed on, eventually cornering him. However after a sneaky move on Em's part, he fled. Later The Kings confirmed that he managed to escape.

They weren't strong enough to finish him off and because of that, for several years somewhere in Luna Em has been hiding out.

Waiting for the perfect chance to rise up again and finish his plan.

For these reasons they continued to rule Luna. Protecting the entry to final floor at all costs.

Protecting both worlds from him.

Em, the vile traitor!

The reason we live under the perverse rule of The Kings! Enduring their brutality simply because you're still out there!

Even armed with this knowledge, several rebellions over the past few years were mounted under the assumption that all the information The Kings fed us were lies. That Em was not hiding but instead dead, betrayed and killed by his comrades.

With this rousing the fire within many, they rebelled and started war after war. Unfortunately, each one ended in the same fashion...complete annihilation.

Those who were unlucky enough to survive the insurrections became property of the kings. To be tortured, experimented on, or even just to be used for personal satisfaction. Always being healed, never allowed to die.

Forever trapped within these castles.

Being reminded of this Taylor shook his head. He needed to remained focused on the task at hand.

Dismissing all thoughts, he developed determination in his stride and within a few more minutes Taylor was at his masters chambers.

After waiting a moment to catch his breath and look presentable, Taylor knocked.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Who the hell is interrupting me right now!"

Xavier's deep voice boomed through the door. As Taylor saw some dust fall to the floor he swore to himself that the powerful voice shook the very walls of the castle.

"Your majesty, this is Taylor with urgent news from the 85th floor."

After a brief moment came a reply.

"Come in."

The door opened and Xavier's murderous aura filled the entire room as Taylor walked in.

Having heard rumors before but unsure as to believe them or not, Taylor couldn't hold back his shock at the scene that was presented before him.

Beaten and bloodied women lay across the enormous bed. Elven females were chained to the wall forced to watch as he defiled their children before their own eyes. In the corner of the room an iron poker whose tip was hot and gleaming bright white, Stared back at him as several of its victims lay near it.

Survival quickly took over Taylor and the shock dissipated. Kneeling down he offered his respect to the king.

"Why are you interrupting me during my hour of relaxation?"

Moving away from the bloody sheets of the bed and the woman atop of them, he slowly made his way towards Taylor. The kings presence was just as overwhelming as his figure. 6' 7" and 145kg of pure muscle, Taylor swore a tower was standing over him.

After a brief period of silence Taylor answered.

"Your majesty, it has awakened."

Xavier furrowed his brow.

"You don't mean..."

"Yes, the being that guards the blade of spirit has awoken."

"Taylor, tell me everything."

"I was on patrol duty with my squadron, the four of us were guarding the barrier like always when all of a sudden the skies grew black and lightning fell on the barrier. The being that guards it finally moved and took a humanoid form. Out of no where it brought out and raised two swords at us. It spoke and said -"

"You are not the ones who have the right to claim the undying soul!"

"It then went on a rampage and slaughtered all of everyone. It moved so fast we couldn't keep track of it. The only thing I could catch a glimmer of was it's level when I used my analyze skill. It was 577. Easily in the top ten highest monster levels in Luna. After this, I noticed it was being kept busy slaughtering what was left of the squadron and I used the opportunity to narrowly escape here and report the incident to you King Xavier."

Xavier took a moment to contemplate the information before responding.

"Hmmm... so it appears he is finally back."

Xavier's face scrunched up as if he had tasted something extremely bitter.

"Taylor!"

"Yes!"

"Find out any information about a new player on the lower floors and report it to me immediately."

"But sir there haven't been any new players since-"

BOOOOOM!

Taylor's body collapsed on the floor headless.

Smoke was coming from Xavier's fist as he withdrew it.

"I didn't ask for your opinion, I ordered your compliance! You worthless excuse of a man!"

Turning around he went back to the woman on the bed, furiously losing himself in her. The woman screamed and howled in pain squirming fruitlessly as she was being crushed by this mountain.

Only one thought roamed in his mind.

"Em, you made me wait five years. Let's have some fun, what do you say?"

Xavier's laughter roared through his halls.
