Awoooooo!

A howl came at the door of the rune room. The speaker stood clear of the door in a panic and confusion. "Why is Fremont howling in this castle?" he asked herself.

Suddenly, Rune felt her heart beat very fast. He held the chest in a half crouch. Then, he howled with a very long howl. The pain in his body intensified as he could feel the blood flowing from head to toe.

Rune tried to stand up while holding on to the edge of the bed. With pain in his heart, he tried to open his bedroom door. He did not see Fremont, who had been in front of the room. He immediately dashed with the remaining energy into the experimental chamber.

Runes stood beside the glass coffin where Velisa was lying. He checked the woman's pulse and breathing. Knowing Velisa was still alive, he immediately carried the woman and took her away. There was still time to save the woman's life.

Rune opened the room of the palace mage, who was observing the crystal ball with a frown. The palace mage was the only human living in this palace. "Adelle, please save this woman's life!" said Rune quickly.

"Is she a human?" asked Adelle, hesitantly approaching the rune in the doorway.

"Let me in!" said Rune with a severe face. The mage swung his wand, and the protective magic faded.

Rune immediately entered and laid the woman's body covered in blood on a mattress made of bamboo. He panicked and picked up any cloth lying in Adelle's room. He pressed the gunshot wound on Velisa's stomach.

"That woman won't last, Rune," said Adelle gently. A long time ago, she saw the face of the woman the rune was carrying. Her condition is impossible to stay alive.

"No. She must stay alive!" said Rune. He doesn't know how humans heal themselves. So, he was just trying to do something to keep Velisa alive.

Runes were running to and fro in the room. He used a knife and tweezers to remove the bullet from Velisa's stomach. He also stumbled several times because he could not focus on seeing the objects around him. It made things in the room a mess.

Adelle was stunned to see her room become chaotic. Water spilled on the floor. The chair and table where she read were no longer arranged. The books on the shelf that Rune hit fell onto the water-soaked floor.

"Why are you like this just because of a human?!" asked Adele irritably.

Rune sighed harshly, then stood right in front of Adelle. "Can't you help me?" he hissed with fiery red eyes.

Adele began to tremble. She looked at her utterly wet magic notebooks. "My favorite book," she whined in a low voice.

Adelle also helps Rune deal with Velisa's gunshot wound with makeshift equipment. Finally, they finished sewing the wound. However, they did not immediately solve the problem. "She has lost a lot of blood, Rune. She won't last much longer."

Rune lowered her head while ruffling her hair in frustration. Suddenly, Adelle ran towards the crystal ball on the cushion in front of the mirror. The woman saw an image in the mirror, an image that reflected the magic of the magic crystal ball. Rune approached Adelle out of curiosity.

Rune and Adelle saw the shadows of werewolves howling in the middle of the forest and running around aimlessly like possessed people. Some of them collapsed and died on the spot. "In 20 years of serving the werewolf nation, I've never seen anything like this happen. What's going on here?" asked Adele in surprise.

Right. Adelle had outlived Adlar, Rune's father. However, she has a physique and face that don't suit her age. Her magic power made her look like a young woman the same age as Rune.

Rune stared at the shadows of the werewolves who died one by one. "If left unchecked, then the werewolf nation will be completely wiped out," he said frantically.

"Rune, do you know something?" asked Adele, turning her head. Rune was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly.

"She is my Mate."

Adelle was silent with her mouth half-open. She turned slowly towards the woman who was lying on her hard mattress. "How is that possible? She is just an ordinary human," she said in a low voice, but Rune could still hear it.

"At first, I didn't believe it either," said Rune with her head down.

"How do you know she is your Mate?" asked Adelle with an uncertain look.

"She said it shortly after I shot her with the rifle," Rune replied with a blind eye. He regretted what he did to Velisa.

"No way. I can't believe it! She must have said that because she wanted to survive!" said Adele. Rune looked at her in disbelief.

"How are you going to explain this incident?" asked Rune, pointing to the mirror in front of them. Then, look at Velisa, who has already in awful condition. "We must ensure she's alive before the werewolves are completely extinct!"

Adelle looked into the mirror and once again saw more and more of the werewolf nation dying. She also began to worry about her belief. "I don't know, Rune."

Rune gripped both of Adelle's shoulders tightly. "You've been a magician for hundreds of years, haven't you?! Try to remember! There must be a magic spell that can solve this problem."

Adelle, who had been wide-eyed, slowly lowered her head in despair. "Rune, magic power can indeed keep me young. However, this magic power cannot change the destiny of someone already dying."

Before long, they saw the crystal ball in front of them vibrate. A green light shot out of the crystal ball and shot straight at Velisa's body. The woman's body was lifted into the air and surprised them.

Dicky gathered with the other hunters in a dark dungeon, and there were only a few torches in the corner of the room that lit up the ten hunters who made it home after last night's hunt. They throw a small party to celebrate the number of werewolves being shot.

"I can't believe I shot that werewolf in the head!"
