Chapter 4: Lord's Reward

After I met up with Rita, while Lauren entered the carriage quietly...this must have taken a tole on her mentally. She'll come out stronger from this experience, or she'll get PTSD from it, but in the novel she was all good. If she wasn't, then I can always just use Illusion magic on her to calm her.

I took control of the reigns of the Horses attached to the carriage as I rode on my own horse.

I guided it and I talked with the maid Rita Farren.

She thanked me immensely for saving her life and Lauren Roberts.

I introduced myself as a Mercenary and gave my nane Artorias.

She invited me to go see the Lord of the town of Rubierute, the father of Lauren Roberts that I had saved.

I accepted her offer and went to meet with the Lord.

I will be getting a nice reward, plus unlike Arc, who couldn't remove his helmet to greet the Lord due to his Skeleton appearance, I can.

All I would need to do is cast an Illusion spell and my face will look like a Humans then my half-undead face.

If I make the duel with Ariane's father to help find the kidnapped elves, I can get a map to lead me to the Dragon King's Tree and get to Hanzo's healing spring to possibly cure my Mannimarco-Curse state.

Soon we arrived at Rubierute and Rita told the guards at the gate about what happened and to collect the bodies of the Lauren's escort that were killed and left behind.

We arrived at the feudal Lord's mansion and I was guided inside. I casted my Illusion spell I had practiced where since I sae my undead cursed face in the river when I first arrived in this world.

Soon after, the Lord appeared and thanked me immensely for saving her daughter.

I knew he was suspicious of me being in cahoots with other hostile feudal Lords, set to gain his trust.

Which is why I made things quick and brief, like any normal Mercenary, but I did keep a level of decorum to show respect to the Lord.

Also...I had 100 speech...yeah...I got a Silver atonement of a Fox

He gave me a buck load of Gold, about 300 gold, he wanted to give more, but I made the excuse I can't carry all that gold with me as I would be slowed down in my travels until the spent it.

Once I raid the Feudal Lord of Diento, I will be rich, so these measly 300 gold will be nothing in a a week or so from now.

Buckle: "I must still reward you sir Artorias. I feel what I have given I far too little fir having saved my daughter's life."

Artorias: "If I could then, may I request for a Silver Passport? I lost my Copper one, and a Silvert Passport fir nobles would help me immensely with making my travels fare more easier."

Buckle: "Hahaha! Is that all, the of course!"

With that done, we had dinner,as I couldn't refuse his offer. Lauren seemed to be far happier now.

She must have gotten over the trauma now. Good.

After receiving the Silver Passport, which was basically a Silver colored postcard, I went to Mary's Inn.

I paid 1 sek (Silver coin) and git my room key.

After that I went to my room to rest for the night.

And with that, my first day in this world ended as I fell asleep.
