Chapter 68 Exploration

Hun Yu finished eating until he was full when suddenly he felt a gaze on him. Realizing that Bo Zhi, the woman nearby, seemed in desperate need of food despite not asking for it, he sighed and turned around.

"Well... well... Here, take this. You might be hungry," he offered, holding out a grilled fish.

"I..." Bo Zhi was kind of surprised as she closely looked at Hun Yu, who was in front of her with the grilled fish. 

Bo Zhi's stomach growled, betraying her pride. She was touched by Hun Yu's gesture, but a mix of surprise and embarrassment washed over her. 

As she devoured the grilled fish, she couldn't shake the realization of her own shameless behavior. She thought, "I've never been so desperate for food. How did I let myself lose control like that? What does he think of me now?"

"Thank you," she managed to say, her face red from embarrassment, not forgetting to express her gratitude. She realized that her behavior before was not appropriate.

Hun Tian had saved her and treated her wounds, and she had called him ungrateful. Now, thinking about this, she felt guilt.

Well... there is nothing that can be done now; what has happened has happened. 

Hun Yu sat on the ground and turned his attention to Bo Zhi. "No problem, if you need more, then I can get some more."

"No... I am fine," she replied.

As the conversation continued, Hun Yu became curious about Bo Zhi's origins. "By the way, how did you end up here, Bo Zhi? And where are you from? Are you from the Star Luo Empire?"

Hun Yu couldn't help but notice that Bo Zhi's aura was very different from the people he had come across before. It was like water, gentle and blue. Hearing the questions, Bo Zhi decided not to truthfully answer them to avoid revealing her identity.

Hun Yu considered her response, thinking that her aura might be related to her living near the sea or perhaps her martial spirit.

"And why did you call me junior? Your age doesn't seem that big," he remarked, relying on his enhanced senses to observe her.

"Umm... nothing. I was dizzy at that time and did not clearly see your face. I thought you were some junior," she replied, concealing the truth about her actual age to avoid exposing her lies.

Hun Yu could clearly hear her heartbeat, but he didn't know how to discern lies and truth from heartbeats. He was simply wasting the full potential of his senses.

"By the way, what place is this?" Bo Zhi asked, expressing her curiosity about their location, which felt entirely different from Sea God Island.

"Hmm... Well... I don't know (oﾟvﾟ)ノ," Hun Yu replied with uncertainty, his expression somewhat playful.

Bo Zhi blankly looked at Hun Yu. "But you said this was your cave, so this means you live here. Shouldn't you know what place this is?"

"...!!" Hun Yu was at a loss for words.

"You see, I am the same as you. I also got sucked into some weird crack in the middle of the road."

"And My wife and son must be worried about me... v(´.＿.｀),"

Bo Zhi felt as if she was being tricked and suspiciously looked at Hun Yu. "Huh... You look so young, and you have a wife and son?" She couldn't believe that Hun tian had a family, considering her perception of the world was broader than Hun Yu's.

Bo Zhi fell silent. She didn't know what to say. Should she admit that she, who was more than 100 years old, had no partner, or should she convey disinterest in men?

"Hump... I have duties; I don't think about these things all day."

"Just say you are alone," said Hun Yu.

Anger rose in Bo Zhi's heart as she heard Hun Tian calling her a loner.

"What do you know about me? Stop making your weird guesses!"

She closed her eyes, realizing that there was no point in arguing with junior like Hun Tian. Seeing that Bo Zhi no longer replied, Hun Yu smiled.

Day by day, a month had already passed, and Hun Yu and Bo Zhi were still living in a cave. As for the reason, well, Hun Yu was waiting for Bo Zhi's wound to heal. He also explored the area around, but to his surprise, there was no animal or life form; only the fishes in the river were present life here.

It seemed weird. Why were there no animals here? Animals should wander around the river, but why were there none?

In this month, Bo Zhi became more open to him. Before, she ignored what he said to her, but now she replied to everything he asked. 

He didn't know if she was telling the truth or lies. She also seemed to be more relaxed around him. Sometimes, she acted like an old lady, correcting his mistakes.

"Hmm... Your wound is almost healed," he remarked.

"I think it is time we should head out?" he asked in a questioning tone. Hearing this, Bo Zhi nodded.

"Okay..."

"Then," he said as he picked up a bag and handed it to her, "here, you will carry this," he instructed.

Hearing that Hun Tian wanted to carry weight, her face twitched, but she did not refuse. She could not do anything to help; now, she could only carry things for him.

"Now, let's go," he said as he walked out of the cave. As they left, Bo Zhi raised her hand to block the sunlight. She tried to open her eyes, but it was hard to keep them open. She had not seen sunlight for a whole month, and now, seeing it, it would take time for her to walk under the sun with open eyes.

Hun Yu, who was not affected because he used his senses to navigate the world, not eyesight. 

"I can't open my eyes," she said. Now, she was really embarrassed. 

A Limit Douluo like her had experienced so many embarrassing moments in just a month, and now she couldn't even open her eyes under the sun.

Hun Yu thought of something, "Here... well, if you don't mind, you can hold onto my shirt and follow me while your eyes are closed."

Bo Zhi hesitated for a moment but then nodded, grateful for his considerate offer. As she held onto the back of Hun Yu's shirt, they moved forward together. The sunlight filtered through her closed eyelids, casting a warm, reddish glow on her face.

"Hun Tian..." as they were slowly walking, she was curious about something, so she asked.

"Hmm?"

"You've been incredibly kind to me. I don't know how to repay you for everything."

She was genuinely unsure how to repay such a life-saving grace. Maybe she could offer him a high position on Sea God Island or something else he desires?

"No need for repayment, Bo Zhi. Helping you feels like the right thing to do," Hun Yu said with a warm smile as he continued walking forward.

These words touched the heart of Bo Zhi. She had never seen someone help another person without expecting something in return. Why? Why did he help her? She couldn't believe Hun Tian was lying.

Bo Zhi found herself unknowingly admiring Hun Yu's unwavering kindness, a warmth she had never experienced before settling in the corners of her heart.

"You are very kind. What if someone took advantage of you to do bad things?"

Hearing her question, Hun Yu thought and replied in a playful manner, "Miss Bo Zhi, I may be kind, but I am not an idiot."

Thinking that Hun Yu thought she was calling him an idiot, she immediately justified herself, "I didn't mean that!"

"Okay... Okay." Hun Yu raised his hand, and soon they reached the riverside. 

He sat on the ground, the soothing sound of the flowing river providing a refreshing backdrop.

"Can you open your eyes now?" he asked Bo Zhi.

Considering that it's normal for people to struggle with opening their eyes when not exposed to the sun, especially she appeares to have no soul power, similar to ordinary women, Hun Yu couldn't help but wonder how she survived being sucked into the space crack.

"Hmm, I can..." she said as she slowly opened her eyes. Before her stood the stunning face of a man, wearing a blindfold.

She instinctively backed away. In the cave, she hadn't seen Hun Tian's face clearly, but now, under the sun...

She had to admit, it was even more beautiful than anything she had ever seen. 

As she slowly shifted her gaze, controlling her thoughts.

Beauty alone was not enough to shake her heart. Even Angel Douluo was beautiful, but she easily defeated him.

And as for that barbarian from the Clear Sky Sect, she had jokingly told them that if they became gods, she would marry them. 

Those idiots took it seriously, but there was no chance for the old angel to become a god. God priests cannot become gods, and there was no news of that barbarian.

She had only said it to drive them away and prevent them from causing trouble.
