Chapter 65 Sea god Island

The sword was poised to strike Sword Douluo, but he remained unmoving.

He was confident that Hun Yu couldn't even leave a scratch on him.

However, as the sword drew nearer and nearer, just as it was about to make contact, Sword Douluo prepared to use his spirit power to repel the blade.

To his astonishment, when he tried to repel the sword with his spirit power, it seemed to have no effect. The blade effortlessly pierced through his defenses.

Chen Xin's face paled as the sword was mere inches away from him.

Despite his lightning-fast reflexes allowing him to evade a direct hit, a mark from Hun Yu's sword marred his face.

Chen Xin touched the wound; the pain was excruciating. He had endured countless battles and suffered numerous injuries, but nothing had ever hurt this much — it felt like thousands of red ants gnawing at his flesh.

Tears welled up in Chen Xin's eyes from the intense pain.

"Uncle Sword!" Ning Fengzi cried out in anguish. Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo were his only pillars of support now.

Just as Ning Fengzi's attention wavered, Renxue thrust directly towards him and pierced throught his chest.

Renxue wiped the blood off her face and turned her gaze towards Hun Yu.

"He can't use his arm, Hun Yu," she said, appearing by Hun Yu's side, hinting that Sword Douluo's left arm was incapacitated(deprived of strength or ability).

Chen Xin glanced at the gravely injured Ning Fengzi, contemplating a rush to his aid.

"Renxue, I will unleash this power to its fullest," Hun Yu whispered, taking Renxue's hand. "I sense I won't be able to control it alone. Assist me."

Renxue nodded, and Hun Yu, noticing a smear of blood on her face, gently wiped it away.

Observing Sword Douluo's desperate attempts to save Ning Fengzi, Hun Yu mused, "It's not external foes that bring about a man's downfall; it's his own hubris and arrogance."

Renxue silently agreed with Hun Yu's sentiment. Sword Douluo's overconfidence had been his undoing. Had her grandfather been present, such arrogance would have been swiftly quelled.

He lifted his sword high, its gleaming blade catching the dim light.

As the heavens darkened, ominous clouds rolled in, casting a shadow over the entire battlefield.

All eyes were fixed on Hun Yu, their gazes filled with both awe and trepidation.

"O Death, the arbiter of all life, heed my command. Bestow upon me your strength," Hun Yu intoned, his voice resonating with a mystical power.

His words echoed across the field, and an eerie silence descended. A palpable dread hung in the air as a dark, sinister energy began to emanate from the lifeless bodies strewn across the ground.

Thick, black clouds swirled overhead, obscuring any semblance of light, plunging the area into an oppressive gloom.

A swirling mass of inky black energy coalesced above Hun Yu's outstretched sword, its sheer intensity causing Hun Yu's expression to darken with strain. Controlling such power was a Herculean task, and the slightest misstep could unleash catastrophic consequences.

Renxue, witnessing Hun Yu's struggle, could bear it no longer. She approached him from behind, wrapping her arms around him in a desperate attempt to lend her support. Channeling her spirit power, she infused it into Hun Yu's being.

The moment their energies collided, they merged seamlessly, blending into a singular force.

Unbeknownst to Renxue, her martial spirit manifested above, radiant and powerful. It wielded a bow in one hand and a sword in the other, a beacon of hope amidst the encroaching darkness.

Neither of them noticed the celestial display unfolding above them.

"What is happening? I must intervene!" Sword Douluo exclaimed, poised to rush towards Hun Yu and Qian Renxue.

But before he could act, a figure materialized before him, obstructing his path.

As energy continued to gather atop Hun Yu's sword, one of his eyes turned completely black. However, others couldn't see it because it was hidden behind his mask.

Slowly, he raised his hand, allowing all the energy to flow into the sword. The force was so intense that Hun Yu's hand trembled with the sheer power.

With deliberate intent, he pointed his sword at Sword Douluo, swinging it forth. A devastating wave of energy surged forward at a speed even the Title Douluo couldn't match.

The moment Chen Xin sensed the approaching blow, his hair stood on end. Such an attack, given its speed, promised grave injury. Dodging wasn't an option; defense was his only recourse.

The attack struck Sword Douluo, its ferocious energy tearing through half of Chen Xin's clothing. He was thrown against the wall, his already injured face contorting in agony from the combined impact.

Hun Yu too bore the brunt of the encounter, clearly showing signs of distress.

Suddenly, a sense of danger gripped Hun Yu. His expression grew serious as he swiftly turned, slashing his sword into seemingly empty air. In an instant, a rift tore through space as if it were fragile glass.

Without hesitation, Hun Yu signaled She Long to enter the newly-formed rift. However, She Long hesitated, drawing a stern gaze from Renxue.

Reluctantly, he followed Hun Yu, who took Renxue's hand and leaped into the rift. Not forgetting, Hun Yu tossed his sword out, knowing it was like an bomb . Even if lost, he could summon it later.

The rift gradually sealed behind them, restoring the space to its former tranquility.

Suddenly, a deafening explosion resonated.

In the void, Renxue clutched Hun Yu by the neck. "Where are we?" she asked, surveying their surroundings—a vast expanse of emptiness.

Hun Yu's mask fell away. "Why did we flee when we seemed to be winning?" she pressed, leaning closer to him.

Drawing a shallow breath, Hun Yu replied, "I sensed another powerful Douluo approaching. I wasn't certain of their intent."

"We'll discuss this later," Renxue declared, her initial disappointment now replaced by determination. "After our return to the Spirit Hall, we'll hold a grand wedding!"

Noticing something amiss with Hun Yu's left eye, she inquired, "What's wrong with your eye?"

Though blind, Hun Yu responded, "It's nothing serious, just a consequence of using the 'Destined Death' it will turn back to normal after some time" He was unsure about his left eye's condition but chose not to alarm her, offering a simple explanation.

She remained silent, her eyes reflecting a mixture of awe and apprehension.

Hun Yu navigated through the Void, soon arriving at a peculiar location.

Observing the emptiness before him, he raised his hand and struck the void. Just as before, it fragmented like fragile glass, revealing a passage.

"Woah! How did you manage that?" Qian Renxue's voice echoed with wonder. She watched in fascination as the space before them shattered like glass. "I sensed the spatial fabric was weak here. A powerful punch was all it took," Hun Yu explained.

Hun Yu's hand wandered, finally resting on her waist. He leaned in, their foreheads touching, a silent promise in the air. "Ladies first," he murmured, gesturing for her to lead the way.

Drawing a deep breath, she moved away from his embrace and confidently stepped outside of the Space crack. "It's good you're familiar with such Things," she teased.

As Renxue emerged on the other side, she extended her hand back to Hun Yu, Just as they were about to reunite, a mysterious force yanked him backward, pulling him into the void.

Confusion clouded Renxue's face. "Hold on!" she exclaimed. Unfurling her wings, she channeled all her strength to rescue him.

But the more she pulled, the stronger the opposing force became,

Desperation colored Hun Yu's features. "I'm sorry," he whispered, knowing that if he continued holding Renxue's hand, he'd inevitably drag her into the abyss.

His voice was barely audible amidst the surrounding chaos.

It didn't take Renxue long to realize what Hun Yu was about to do. "No! Please, don't!" she cried out, her voice filled with anguish.

Ignoring her pleas, Hun Yu gradually relinquished his grip. "Please! Don't do this!" she screamed. But with a determined thrust of his spiritual energy, he propelled her away from the disintegrating void.

As Renxue watched in horror, Hun Yu faded into the engulfing darkness.

Before she could react, the space they had traversed vanished.

Collapsing to the ground, tears streamed down her face.
