Time skip - months [ currently at royal hunting ground where the qualifying rounds are being held ]
In the royal looking area there stood many teams as the emperor came and congratulated teams on winning the qualifying rounds.
After the emperor announced that the finals of the contest would be held in the Martial soul City and that 500 royal knights and conveyances would accompany them in the journey, everyone left to their respective places. Hun Yu stood in his team, the emperor's team, even though they didn't have to participate in the qualifying and preliminary rounds. They could directly go to the finals, but it was important for them to be present in the match to watch it and represent the empire as a team from the academy.
As Hun Yu was walking, he felt a presence beside him. Turning to his side, he saw a girl who had just joined him. "Hello Ye Lingling," he greeted her.
"Brother Yu, I have told you, you can call me Ling Ling!" she said with a smile.
Hun Yu chuckled. "Ok ok, I forgot. I will call you Ling Ling from now on," he said softly to her. "Ling Ling, you are like my little sister," he added as he put his one hand on Ling Ling's head.
Ling Ling blushed. "Brother Yu, you treat me so well," she said.
The two continued to walk and chat.
As Hun Yu reached his room, he bid farewell to Ye Lingling and entered his room. Some may be confused as to why he has such a good relationship with Ye Lingling, given that it has only been months since he joined the Heaven Duo Imperial Academy.
When Hun Yu was practicing in the academy, he noticed that Ye Lingling looked a little lonely. He took the initiative to approach her and strike up a conversation. At first, Ye Lingling was hesitant to open up, but after several weeks of Hun Yu's consistent efforts to get to know her, she finally revealed that she didn't have any parents or anyone to rely on, which is why she tended to keep to herself.
Since then, Hun Yu started treating Ye Lingling like his little sister. We could say that Hun Yu took pity on her or could relate to her in some way. Their bond grew stronger day by day.
Despite being in the academy for only a few months, Hun Yu had already made many friends, but his relationship with Ye Lingling was special. He felt responsible for her, and he wanted to ensure that she didn't feel lonely or left out.
As he lay down on his bed, Hun Yu couldn't help but think about the upcoming finals . He knew that the competition would be tough, but he was confident in his abilities. He had been working hard, day and night, to improve his cultivation, and he was determined to come out on top.
With that thought in mind, Hun Yu drifted off to sleep.

Inside the grand hall of the Pope, a beautiful girl stood before two people - Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo. The girl was Hu Liena, the apprentice of the Pope.
Chrysanthemum Douluo spoke to Hu Liena "Holy Lady, the Pope means..." before being interrupted by a smile from Hu Liena.
"Fellow elders, our teacher doesn't wish to see this person in Martial Spirit City," she said as she handed over a list to the elders. The elders then left the room.
...
Somewhere else in Martial Spirit City, Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo stood side by side, discussing something. Ghost Douluo asked Chrysanthemum, "Did you investigate what the Pope had told you?"
Chrysanthemum smiled in response, "Indeed, I did. The only thing I found out is from Old Lance that they encountered the Dark Devil Evil God Tiger while hunting for a spirit ring for the young master. During the fight, the young master got a little injured. That's what Old Lance told me.

Hun Yu sat comfortably inside the cart, waiting for the knights to depart towards the Martial Spirit City. As he looked around, he saw his teammates sitting in the cart with him. Yu Tianheng, one of his teammates, caught his attention. Yu Tianheng stood up and moved to sit next to Hun Yu. Hun Yu was confused by this and looked at Yu Tianheng with a questioning expression.
Yu Tianheng then spoke in a serious tone, "Hun Yu, I want to ask you something important."
Hun Yu replied with a simple "Hmm..?" and waited for Yu Tianheng to continue.
"What I want to ask you is if you are a member of any clan or any force?" asked Yu Tianheng.
Hun Yu replied, "No, I am not from any force or anything. I am from a small village," with a plain expression on his face.
Yu Tianheng seemed to ponder for a moment before speaking again, "Since you are not from any force, then I would like to invite you to join the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect," as he looked towards Hun Yu with his hands extended out.
Hun Yu took some time to think about the offer and then replied, "I will think about it."
The offer had caught Hun Yu off-guard, and he needed time to decide if joining the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect was the right decision for him. The sect was known for its strength and power, and being a member would mean having access to some of the best resources and training. On the other hand, he would have to give up his independence and be bound by the sect's rules and regulations.
As Hun Yu pondered over the offer, the convoy continued towards the Martial Spirit City.
As the team's carts were moving towards the Martial Spirit City, the landscape suddenly changed into a narrow canyon. The rocky walls on both sides were high and seemed to stretch endlessly. The team members were chatting inside their respective cart when Hun Yu suddenly signaled for them to be silent. He concentrated his senses and listened carefully to his surroundings.
Yu Tianheng noticed his serious expression and asked him what was going on. Dugu Yan, another member of their team, reassured them that there was nothing to worry about. He pointed out that they had the support of the Tian Duo Royal Cavalries and the leading teachers of every school.
However, their conversation was interrupted by a sudden attack from the enemy. Rocks on the top of the canyon broke and knights shouted, alerting them of the attack. The captain of the knights ordered for a formation to be formed.
The team quickly got out of their carts and released their martial spirits. As they fought off the enemy, rocks from the canyon's walls started falling down. Hun Yu sensed a big rock coming towards him and aimed his Holy Bow martial spirit in its direction. He released his second spirit ring ability, Piercing Arrow, and fired the arrow. The arrow pierced the rock directly and destroyed it before it could cause any harm.
