Old Friends Together Again.

"Will he be alright?" RongRong asked.

"He'll be fine" Ahri sang, "His spirit type may be auxiliary but that hasn't stopped him from becoming a fighter. Only have to ask yourself, what makes a spirit master strong?"

Flender squinted at Ahri then glanced at the stage. He was beginning to realize that Ahri and Tenko were an oddity even amongst talented Monsters. He also began to notice that Ahri and Tang San shared a similar air of maturity beyond their years.

"Spirit power."

"Spirit abilities."

"Martial Soul."

The group began to answer one by one.

"Control." Said Ahri.

"Explain," Flender spoke from behind the students.

"Tang San is obviously a rarity. Martial Souls like his aren't known to be awakened with spirit power. He also cultivated it properly, turning grass into vines and adding a toxic attribute. But this process can be repeated with other people if they have someone willing to guide them...

Spirit power on a common scale equates to a mass of energy only useful after acquiring an ability from a spirit ring. That means the average spirit master can have ten abilities at most. And these abilities are always related to their martial soul. It's a pretty restricted system of power, isn't it? On the contrary...

This system is wild and slightly arbitrary. That is why control is a deadly weapon to have. To control your spirit power and using it how you see fit will add many spirit abilities of your own making. To control the assimilation of a spirit ring will allow you to chose which spirit abilities you inherit. Tenko also has a theory that spirit power can be used solely for body enhancement. Control over one's being is the only thing you should strive for. And Spirit Rings becomes nothing more than a requirement to breakthrough and enhance Spirit Power."

"So you're telling us that Brother Tenko has so much control, his Martial Soul is just another weapon in his arsenal?" Asked Tang San.

"Yes," Ahri replied nonchalantly. After all, Ahri and many Spirit Beasts utilize raw Spirit Power without the need of a Martial Soul.

On the stage, Tenko and the monkey just starred at each other, and at this point, the crowd was silent as they had no idea what was happening.

"Star Gazing Monkey? What's your real name?" Tenko asked.

"If you beat me, I'll tell you. But I have a question also. Why are you called Heaven;y Fox?"

Tenko frowned. "You know Japanese?"

"Hehe, I speak Japanese. I just didn't know anyone else in this world did." the monkey boy replied. "You know you will never succeed."

"Succeed in what?" Tenko asked.

"Inner peace. Two types of Ki battle for one host, and the host has no idea that he is cultivating two types of Ki." Monkey sighed. "Come, let's get this over with."

The monkey sprang from his staff and took a fight position. Tenko then took a stance of his own. The monkey raised an eyebrow at the stance. His leg muscles then contracted, and he appeared in front of Tenko in an instant. Tenko scuffed as he caught the staff in between his left knee and elbow.

Tenko then hit the monkey with a Ki-coated fist, blasting him across the stage. Using Ashura Senki to appear behind the boy, he shocked the crowd. Even Tang San locked lost as his special eyes couldn't track Tenko.

"Thunder God Fist" Lightning crackled around Tenko's fist as he struck the boy in the back, electrifying him.

Tenko maneuvered again to appear in front of the boy, delivering a kick beneath his chin, sending him airborne. Xiao Wu then gawked as Tenko appeared in the air and performed a thirty-hit combo that made him seem like he was floating in the air.

"Xiao Wu, if you're really so amazed, you should ask him for pointers. You specialize in Lock Combos. Tenko can be considered an expert." Ahri commented when she noticed Xiao Wu was in a daze.

"L-lock combos?" she asked.

"Unlike an exchange of fists. Lock combos are the special moment when you take advantage of your opponent's lapse of reaction. You then execute a set of attacks that can't be defended. You can lock down your opponent with speed or, like you, put them in a position where they become completely defenseless."

"Defenseless position? The Eight Stage Drop?" Xiao Wu asked, referring to her signature move that stuns her opponent before putting them into an uncounterable combo.

"Hmm." Ahri nodded as Tenko's combo ended when a flaming eastern dragon accompanied his ax kick, sending the monkey boy hurling into the ground.

So fast, the crowd was speechless, and everyone wondered how the auxiliary spirit master teleported, used fire and lightning. Not to mention he conjured a flaming dragon. Tenko now looked over the crater caused by the crash of the Star Gazing Monkey.

From that crater, the monkey boy could be heard laughing, giving everyone the scare of their life. The crater then exploded as the monkey boy's staff grew in size, propelling him from the crater. Once he landed and raised his staff, it began to emitted black energy, and his eyes began to glow red.

Dai Mubai instantly clutched his chest as he groaned in pain.

"Kit! Run!" Yunshiro shouted within Tenko's mind.

"Hoho. How interesting. You're back too, Yunshiro, Zhizhe Baihu." the monkey boy spoke with excitement.

In the stands, a beast roared within Dai Mubai, telling him to flee. Dai Mubai stumbled from the chair and moved to the exit. The monkey boy sneered and quickly admitted defeat before chasing after Dai Mubai.

"Kit, after him!"

"You told me to run!" Tenko replied to Yunshiro.

"If the Monkey King faces the Evil Eyed White Tiger Sage, they will level the city."

"Monkey King?" Tenko asked, shocked.

"Yes, he's like that Dai boy and us. Now go!"

Tenko sped from the Arena. The Shrek students were standing off to the side as Dai Mubai faced off against the Monkey King. Dai Mubai's left and right eyes shined red and blue each when viewed up-close, you can see that the left and right eyes both have double irises, each having one red iris and one blue iris, and his center eye, which represents enlightenment, has a gold iris. He also has three pairs of white feathered wings on his back, signifying that Zhizhe Baihu was in a complete awakened mode.

"Kit, forgive me," Yunshiro spoke and before Tenko could reply. His eyes turned to gold with fox slits, fangs elongated, claws grew on his hands, Whiskers on his face, and ten tails appeared behind him as he shined with heavenly golden radiance.

He then roared, cracking the stone ground beneath the idiots and causing the heavens to stir. Zhizhe Baihu replied by emitting a bright white and gold aura, and the Monkey King emitted a dense red and black aura. The Trio's power combined and great force pressed down on the city, bring everyone to their knees. Some even lost consciousness.

"Wukong, stop your idiocy! Baihu! Stand down!" Yunshiro shouted. "This is not the place to welcome each other back."

"Welcome back? I'm going to kick this traitorous ass!" Wukong shouted.

"Traitor?!" Baihu exclaimed, "Who decided to use a village of humans as nutrition for a damn peach tree? And you! Yunshiro! Razed the central continent to the ground! This lazy tiger kept to himself. I betrayed no one!"

"He's right, Wukong. You can't blame him for your wrongdoings."

"Tsk. If he hadn't forgotten our prearranged fight. I would have never killed those humans." Wukong pouted.

"Impulsive, crazed, and unreasonable as ever!" Baihu roared, and Dai Mubai collapsed as he reverted to his human form.

"None of you are no fun anymore!" Wukong then vanished, leaving his host to collapse as well.

"Goddamn idiots." Yunshiro was the last to leave, but Tenko didn't collapse as he and Yunshiro had a well-established connection. For the Monkey boy and Dai Mubai, neither of them had established contact with Great Spirits, nor had they begun to form any kind of bond.

With the pressure gone, Flender picked up Dai Mubai and the Monkey Boy before returning to the academy. As for the rest of the Shrek Students, they looked at Tenko in awe as they silently walked back to the arena to continue their scheduled matches.

Each of them had their own questions --some about Tenko and others about Dai Mubai and the Monkey. However, only Ahri and Zhu Zhuqing understood that they had just witnessed greatness never before seen since the time of the first Spirit Masters. The Heavenly Fox and Evil Eye White Tiger Sage. Two existence worshipped wholeheartedly in their respective cultures.

But what confused Zhu Zhuqing was that Tenko seemed to be the only that didn't collapse. And though his cultivation was below Dai Mubai, she became interested in his increasing profound existence. It startled her, insulted her, frightened her, and ultimately ensnared her attention. In one day of slight interactions with his mysterious, his existence had undergone drastic changes within her mind.
