Chapter 6: The New Young Masters

Today was the first time in 6 years there have been female masters in the Dugu clan and all the servants were very excited. Dugu Mei was the small girl who spoke up to Dugu Xin in the main hall as she is the youngest of the two girls she is known as Second Miss. Second miss Dugu is small for her age with a shy, introverted personality yet is very curious about the world. First, Miss Dugu Xue was the complete opposite, more like a tomboy; her personality was explosive her energy even while malnourished was larger than life, both had black eyes and hair.

In the Bathhouse the servants first removed the clothing of the girls, before they were put in the large bath they were cleaned in two small wooden tubs. The dirt and other things that came from their bodies turned the water black, but underneath the filth were two very pretty little girls.

In the Boy's Bathhouse, the three boys were receiving the same treatment, Dugu Xin was the first young master. While Dugu Alix ranked second, he was the one that most looked like a biological child of Dugu Bo. His hair was green, but his eyes were sky blue instead of gold. Then there was Dugu Gho. He was a small boy that couldn't see very well. His black eyes are dull and listless most of the time he is ranked third. Finally, the fourth-ranked Dugu Hoi, while the youngest, was the largest.

In Xin's spirit sea, everyone present had just moved on from the earlier sex inconsistency, "My Father left some bloodline essence behind before he left, I was wondering if one of you would help me infuse it into the new family members?"

"To be honest, as the Queen of her species, Liu is much better at such a thing than I am."

Hong Liu placed her hand on her chin, "Modifying a human's bloodline power is possible, but the bloodline power of the Jade Phosher Hydra is extremely strong. Of course, I can use my power to help stabilize them, but they will still have a high possibility of just dying."

"With my help, I can keep their life essence from dissipating, which should significantly lower that risk." Said Lan Ushi as he looked uninterested in the entire thing, exhaling a large cloud of smoke.

"Thank you both!" Opening his eyes, there were five clean young masters and misses of the Dugu clan standing before him. Xin's eyes became serious as he looked at the five of them, "What I'm about to show you must be kept secret, as you are now members of the Dugu Clan. It is your responsibility to carry the successes and failures of our clan. As well as keep our secrets….well…secret." The five children nodded their heads with such strength it looked painful. Acknowledging them, Dugu Xin gestured to His father's assistant, who was standing on the side.

Soon, a plump gray-haired man stepped forward and read from a scroll, "Before today, all of you had your spirit awakening ceremony, and your results are as follows. Dugu Alix; Tool Spirit: Ebony Shield, Spirit power: 0, Dugu Xue; Tool Spirit: Angelic Halo, Spirit power: 0, Dugu Mei; Tool Spirit: Passion Flower, Spirit power: 0, Dugu Gho; Beast Spirit: Lucifer, Spirit power: 0, and lastly Dugu Hoi; Beast Spirit: Ice Cheetah, Spirit power: 0." rolling up the scroll the man bowed to Dugu Xin then took a step back.

"Very good," Suddenly, he released his spirit power. Two red spirit rings floated silently behind him. Everyone present felt impending doom. The plump man from earlier released his spirit power; 6 rings appeared behind him as he took a stance. "This is the aura of multiple 100,000-year-old beasts! Coming from…they young master?!" His mouth flew open as he looked at the 100,000-year-old rings behind Dugu Xin.

Hong Lin and Lan Ushi appeared in the room standing across from the children, "So these are the little brats, where is Lord Bo's Bloodline essence?" Reaching into his sleeves, Xin pulled out a rather large bottle and handed it to Lin. Pulling the cork she used her spirit power to turn the essence into a mist that had a deep golden color. She then moved to the children and forced it into their pores, nose, and mouth. Immediately all of them fell onto the floor, their body turning a bright red as they screamed in agony.

Tears, Blood, Saliva, Snot, and impurities were constantly pouring out of their bodies, the once white stone floor in the main hall was covered in a brown-black sludge that came out of the bodies of those children. While Lin worked on Bloodline essence, Ushi was keeping the life essence in their bodies. After 10 minutes, each of them involuntarily summoned their spirits. 

Dugu Alix's Ebony shield hovered above his body, the shield was triangular with rounded edges over 2 meters tall, and around 1.5 meters wide. While the size and dimensions didn't change much, there was now a 9-headed hydra emblem in the center of the shield.

Dugu Xue's Halo was a typical halo that floated silently above her head, now there was another halo embedded into the other tilting at a 25-degree angle; the two halos only met at two points in a throne formation.

Dugu Mei's Passionflower floated above her chest. It was purple before, but now each petal on the flower had a different color.

Dugu Gho's Spirit was more interesting as Lucifer is a concept rather than a tangible thing before he would grow two small horns on his head. That evolved into two upright horns similar to ram horns; in between the two was a small crown made of fire.

Dugu Hoi's Ice Cheetah now looked like a Chimera cat, one half was royal blue as it was before while the other was a dark green.

While all this was happening, Dugu Xin grew excited as he could feel the Spirit power in their bodies growing until it stopped at the rank 10 bottleneck. Soon, another Spirit Mark appeared on their left hand as a Jade Phosphor Serpent resided within each mark, solidifying their status as a Dugu Clan member. An Evil smile appeared on Xin's face as he made eye contact with his Father's assistant; looking into those eyes, the elderly man felt like prey. "You understand what this means, right?"

"Our Clan can now create Spirit Masters…" The old man was named Xiong Bu, a member of another subsidiary clan under the Dugu Clan. The main branch used the Light Element as their spirit, the majority of their clan were Healing or Auxiliary type, spirit masters.

"Correct, Old man Bu, I need you to make a list of the most loyal servants of the Dugu Clan, including members of the Subsidiary clans that do not have spirit power. Let's see if this works for adults as well." Dugu Xin gestured to the servants who picked up their Young masters, who had passed out after the massive changes to their bodies and retreated. 

"I understand, young master!" Xiong Bu left, leaving Dugu Xin and the servants tasked to clean the area alone. Dugu Xin fell into thought, 'Tool Spirit masters are usually difficult to cultivate to higher ranks due to the fact they must be able to form and comprehend the soul of the tool. The more connection between the soul master and their tool spirit, the stronger and higher the cultivation level he/she is. Tool Spirit Masters emphasize strengthening their tool's abilities when searching for Spirit Rings.

Beast Spirits are based on Spirit Beasts and are usually more suited for combat purposes. They also appear in a wide variety; flying animals, aquatic animals, and land animals are all described as Beast Spirits. When activating their Spirit, Beast Spirit Masters tend to take on the appearance of their Spirit in conjunction with their bodies (e.g., Wolf Spirit Master will grow excess hair, claws, and teeth when activating their spirit). The degree of physical change seems to vary from person to person. When hunting for Spirit Rings, Beast Spirit Masters aim to increase their physical capabilities. However, these rings must have good synergy with their Spirit, or they will be rejected.

Body Spirits are a rare type of Spirit that dwells within some part of the Spirit Master's body. When activated, the associated body part is innately enhanced in ways appropriate to the body part, and this enhancement grows as the Spirit Master cultivates. They can undergo a Second Awakening. This means that a Body Spirit can evolve one level higher than others. They could be iron, bronze, silver, or gold, depending on the importance of the part of the body.

Everyone knows this; however, Father's 7th Spirit ring allows the Jade Phosher Hydra to materialize. Therefore, most of his battles aren't fought personally anymore. Earlier, what I saw was the ethereal materialization of their spirits no matter what type they had except Body spirits.' Tapping on the seat of power with his index finger, Xin shifted to a different topic.

'The reason the Spirit Hall is so powerful is that they have explored the many spirit beasts that can complement a Spirit Master spirit. Not only that, they will help the Spirit Master find the Spirit Beast that will complement them. So we have to do better. Currently, the optimal ring combination is Yellow 2, Purple 2, and Black 5, which is great, but the Dugu Clan will promise that you will have only Black Spirit Rings, while all Titled Douluo of the Dugu Clan will have at minimum 9 Red Spirit Rings. Father needs to advance as soon as possible; once he becomes the Poison Douluo, Life will become much simpler. Even at Rank 91 with eight 100,000-year-old Spirit rings and one 1,000,000-year-old Spirit ring, he will be unmatched. Unlike in the original, where he was beaten and had to bow to the Spirit Hall. Then I can go public with my ideas and not have to worry about the consequences.' Reaching over to the small table next to the seat of power, Dugu Xin picked up the small bell resting on it. Then shook the object twice; shortly after the noise resounded one man was kneeling before Dugu Xin.

This man was a member of the final subsidiary clan of the Dugu Family, the Cike clan; this clan, unlike the last two, did not hold a noble title and was 100% loyal to the main branch of the Dugu Clan. The rise and fall of the Cike Clan were tied to the Dugu Clan, "Cike Zixuan, All members of the Cike clan that do not have Spirit power must report to my courtyard in 45 mins Along with the clan leader, do you understand why?"

"Yes, Sir!"
