As they continued to walk amongst the trees, a rustling sound came from the bushes in front of them, Xu Shuang quickly stood in front to protect Ye Lingling from the possible danger.

Whoosh*

Cyan wind blades came out of the bushes cutting them into pieces, revealing what was inside the bushes. It's a dark cyan wolf with red eyes, and there are about 10 of them as they howled in excitement at their prey.

Xu Shuang swung her hammer in a semi-circle and smashed all the wind blades as she looked at the cyan wolves vigilantly as there are too many of them and one might slip from her battle and attack Ye Lingling.

"AWOOOO"

Without waiting any more time, the wolves howled and rushed toward them while firing cyan wind blades at them which Xu Shuang smashed with her hammer.

Then she killed in one hammer strike the first two wolves that rushed in, but four wolves quickly rushed up when she killed the first two. She quickly released the Seismic Hammer throughout all her body radiating outside.

The vibration from the technique transferred from her to the four wolves once their claws landed on her body, Xu Shuang transformed herself into the focal point of an earthquake that will transfer into the four wolves.

The four wolves trembled as the vibrations traveled throughout their bodies causing damage to all of their internal organs as they all dropped to the ground twitching from the remnant vibration inside their bodies.

Then she quickly swung her hammer hard in a circular motion to attack all the leftover wolves that nearly slipped out of her hands.

But she only managed to hit two wolves in the end, there are two other wolves that already slipped out of her hands and are running away in fright of Xu Shuang's power.

"Good thing the last two wolves didn't continue to attack you, Lingling." Xu Shuang breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Ye Lingling is still safe.

"Xu Shuang, you are so strong, I wished that I could at least have a quarter of your strength so that I can protect myself." Ye Lingling sighed.

Which auxiliary spirit master never dreamed of having strong strength to protect themselves instead of relying on their teammates?

"Don't worry, I'm sure that you will get some sort of skill when you complete this trial and will be able to protect yourself at least." Xu Shuang rubbed Ye Lingling's head as she comforted her.

In the middle of that lake is an emerald swan swimming on the lake dragging small ripples behind it, this swan is like it's made by a master craftsman caring for his artwork.

"It's so beautiful." Ye Lingling praised as she looked at the swan.

"So is this your spirit beast? An Emerald Swan, it's really suitable for you Lingling, it has the best healing skills in spirit beasts, and its attributes are life."

"But, isn't this trial too easy if it's just this emerald swan?" Ye Lingling asked as she looked at the swan on the lake.

And as if to answer her question a huge shadow came out of the lake's depths, and with a huge splash a huge serpentine spirit beast came out of the lake.

It's a huge phyton with just its upper body alone was 6 meters long, how long would the parts under the water be?

The phyton's scales are azure in color and have a shiny glint to them, it also has blue eyes and a horn on its head twisted like an arc of a wave.

"Crescent Tail Jiao? Why is something like that in this lake, where the lake is too small for its size?" Xu Shuang muttered as she looked at the jiao swimming with the swan.

"Don't tell me I have to defeat this thing with the emerald swan assisting it to complete the trial?" She asked with twitching lips as the standard configuration of the teams on two sides.

"But, this makes it even more exciting, let's go Lingling, let's finish this trial fast." Xu Shuang laughed as she got out of their hiding place and slowly walked to the lake.

"Wait, Xu Shuang, don't you have any plans for this fight?" Ye Lingling asked worriedly behind her.

"It's easy, just lure out the big snake from the lake, then I will hammer it till it can't get up anymore, then proceed to do the same to the green bird there." Xu Shuang smiled in excitement as her spirit rings started to come out of her body.

Then she activated all of her spirit rings boosting herself, Ye Lingling smiled helplessly as she also activated her martial spirit and boosted Xu Shuang, by then the two spirit beasts in the lake already sensed them coming.

"ROAR!" "Beep"

With a loud roar from the Crescent Tail Jiao and a soft chirp from the Emerald Swan, the Jiao swung its crescent fan on its tail creating multiple blue blades that headed for Xu Shuang.

"Come on! Is that the best that you can already do?! My grandpa can hit better than that!" Xu Shuang provoked as she effortlessly shattered the blue blade sent by the Jiao.

The Jiao knew that Xu Shuang was deliberately provoking it, but who can stand such a provocation? Comparing it to a human grandpa, isn't that massively degrading its strength?

So it slapped the lake with its tail and brought out a huge wave from the depths that surged towards Xu Shuang.

"HAHAHAHA, Now it's getting interesting. But, this isn't enough, come! Show more of your strength snake!" Xu Shuang laughed as she used meteor and smashed apart the wave brought by the Jiao.

Ye Lingling face palmed at Xu Shuang's reckless behavior, she can't help but wonder, why is Xu Shuang nearly perfect in every way, but why is she a battle junkie?

She sighed as she shot a beam of white light at Xu Shuang, healing the injuries she received from the collision with the wave.

At this moment Xu Shuang was laughing as she repeatedly clashed with the Crescent Tail Jiao causing waves to spread out from the lake.

The emerald swan on the side also shot out a green beam of light that landed on the Crescent Tail Jiao healing all the injuries that it received in battle.

"Roar!"

The Jiao roared in anger as it shot its tail covered in rotating water onto Xu Shuang's hammer which caused another wave to rise up from the lake.

"HAHAHAHA, That's it! Use more strength! Let's fight to our heart's content!" Xu Shuang laughed as she swung her hammer again on the Jiao's head dealing a lot of damage.

Then the Jiao's tail slapped and sliced her leaving a deep wound on her shoulder, but two beams of light descended on them healing their injuries.

With their injuries healed, they once again clashed raising different heights of waves with the collision of their attacks.

But, Xu Shuang is at a disadvantage because she's fighting from the shore and doing at most three attacks then being forced to use the force of the collision to go back for another strike.

So after one last collision, Xu Shuang stood on the shores of the lake and did a come here gesture with her finger as she shouted.

"I'm tired of fighting on the lake, come and fight me here if you are a real man!"

The Crescent Tail Jiao roared in anger as it swam over quickly and encased itself in flowing water and rotated quickly and turned into a horizontal water tornado.

Xu Shuang took a deep breath as she hammered out with all her strength on the side of the tornado causing it to deviate from its path and landed a few meters by her side with cracked scales on its side.

A green beam of light shot out from the emerald swan and quickly healed the cracked scale making it look as good as new.
