CH 66: New Member to the Crew?

"Alright, he's all set and fixed." A while later, Dugu Bo was sitting cross legged, running his poison through his body and gathering it in a single spot to form a Soul Core. Ah Li had guided him throughout the entire thing.

Teaching him how to do it and also helping to move the dangerous poison. After he had gotten the hang of it and had set the pace, Ah Li didn't have anything else to do. Now Dugu Bo had entered a deep concentration state, putting all of his focus on not messing things up.

"Alright, I should start doing what I came here for as well." He hummed, getting up from behind the old man. He jumped onto an iceberg stretching till it had reached the middle of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, looking around from there.

Bibi Dong :"Are you going to eat an Immortal Herb now?"

Ah Li :"Yeah, that's the reason why I'm here after all. And I'm not planning on eating only one, I have two in mind."

Bibi Dong :"Oh, you can eat more than one?"

Ah Li :"Yup, but too many will cause irreversible side effects for ordinary people. All Immortal Herbs are heavenly treasures, and none of them is worse than the others. Which one suits you best is the question if you have options. But normally, even finding one is an extremely rare opportunity. However, we have a lot of options at hand, so which one suits me best is the matter at hand."

Bibi Dong :"Hmm, I see... then for you, something that enhances your physique or poison is the best option. But I don't think your poison can get any more powerful considering your Poison Orb is passively always active and you need to weaken it."

Ah Li, smirking :"No, there is actually one that can still enhance my poison even now."

Bibi Dong :"Wait, seriously?! Even though your poison Orb is already so strong?! If that's true, then I might have still underestimated these Immortal Herbs..."

Ah Li :"That's right, that's why they're called Immortal Herbs. Its name is Bloody Swan Kiss, an Immortal Herb entirely for poison. Normally, it has absolutely no poison. It's because its ability and function is to enhance already existing poisons.

Basically, if an ordinary person touched it, nothing would happen. But if somebody with strong poison, like Dugu Bo, even gets close to it, they will probably evaporate in seconds! The Bloody Swan Kiss strengthens poisons by 5 times after all!"

Bibi Dong :"Oh my... that Immortal Herb is extremely dangerous then. Won't you be in danger as well, considering how dangerous your poison is?"

Ah Li :"Normally, that would be the case. After all, my poison is strong to the point where it would affect me too if it wasn't completely under my control. With how powerful my poison is, if we multiply that by 5, even I would be in danger. It would be like somebody making a nuke you had under control explode.

But it's alright, since I can deactivate my Orbs. If I just deactivate my Poison Orb completely, I would be like a normal person touching it. By the way, fun information, normal people wouldn't be able to absorb this Immortal Herb either. Doesn't matter if they have strong poison or not."

Bibi Dong :"Huh? Why is that? Didn't you say this Immortal Herb is mainly poison?"

Ah Li :"That's because the human body has natural poison in it as well. I say poison, but the Bloody Swan Kiss enhances all toxins and such, meaning things like stomach acid are also affected. So even if somebody who doesn't specialize in poison consumes it, they will still die because of their body's natural poison being extremely enhanced out of nowhere."

Bibi Dong :"Damn, this Immortal Herb is terrifying..."

Ah Li :"Of course it is. Tang San even used this Immortal Herb to completely destroy Slaughter City, you know?"

Bibi Dong :"So that's how Slaughter City was destroyed?! Did he throw the Bloody Swan Kiss into the pool of Bloody Mary in the Hell Road?!"

Ah Li :"Bingo. With how poisonous that much Bloody Mary is, the Bloody Swan Kiss strengthened the Bloody River to the point where it completely destroyed the Slaughter City. Do you get how terrifying the Bloody Swan Kiss is?

It's the most dangerous one of all Immortal Herbs. Among the Immortal Herbs, that one is my target. The two I'm planning to absorb right now are side dishes. The Bloody Swan Kiss is the real prize."

Bibi Dong :"I see, that makes sense. Immortal Herbs that can enhance your physique are amazing, but they wouldn't be that amazing considering they would only do that. Meanwhile, the Bloody Swan Kiss just... yeah, I don't have anything to say other than just how amazing it is. So why do you want to absorb other Immortal Herbs first?"

Ah Li :"You'll know in a moment."

Taking off his armless-hoodie-trenchcoat and putting it into his Spiritual Sea, he got down to business. Spotting the two Immortal Herbs he was looking for, the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and Infernal Delicate Apricot, he formed two knives with his web. Continuous practice with them everyday had made him quite proficient in using them.

Unleashing the full power of the surpassed Arachnid Bracelets, he brought out the real power of the webs. He had always surpassed the strength of his Arachnid Soul Bones, always keeping their strength at around 2,000-years so he would have an excuse. Making it so his webs were also completely insignificant in strength and durability compared to what they should be like.

But now, he couldn't keep them weakened. Herbs would become Immortal Herbs upon their cultivation base reaching 100,000-years. Although their combat prowess was completely useless, normal weapons wouldn't be useful. They would melt or shatter into ice bits upon getting close to either of the Immortal Herbs unless protected with Soul Power.

However, with the real durability of the webs of the 1,000,000-year Arachnid Bracelets brought out, neither of the Immortal Herbs could even make a scratch on the web-knives as they cut them off. Laying on the ground, they still didn't lose their beauty or danger.

The elemental prowess they continued would be extremely dangerous to others. Others would only be able to endure for a few moments before dying if not high level enough. Shooting web lines to them, he immediately pulled the Immortal Herbs to himself.

The scene was quite amazing. As the two got into a certain distance, the hot and cold canceled each other out. Making a beautiful view as the two pretty flowers floated gently next to each other.

"Alright, let's do this." He took a deep breath and activated his Orbs before eating both Immortal Herbs. He wasn't a masochist, no way in hell would he want to put up with the pain of being burnt alive and freezed to death at the same time. He also needed his Orbs active for what he wanted to do, considering how his body normally wouldn't be able to handle it at all.

The Immortal Herbs broke out inside of him, seeming to be trying to make him explode from the inside. But with his Orbs active and his body strength boosted to unholy levels, he didn't even flinch at the outburst of violent cold and hot energies. Smirking, excited about the real stage of the plan, he jumped into the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

'Alright, so far so good.' Feeling unbothered by the extreme temperatures mixed in a single lake, and feeling the Immortal Herbs beginning to calm down and be absorbed slowly, he sighed in relief. With his Orbs Cultivation Base, he no longer needed to breathe, so he wasn't bothered by the water.

"Hm, is this what you were planning to do?" Bibi Dong looked curiously :"The water here is extremely dangerous and so are the Immortal Herbs you just consumed, but they all seem to cancel each other out while the aura here seems to make it possible for the violent energy of the Immortal Herbs to fuse and be absorbed. And since one of them was ice attributed, it will probably strengthen your Ice jade Empress Scorpion Martial Soul a lot."

"(Hahahaha, true, but that's not completely why I'm here.)" He chuckled, before looking down. His smirk growing into a smile as he kicked the water and started swimming downward. Curious, Bibi Dong followed after him. She was quite interested in what was at the bottom of this place after all.

Although the well didn't seem deep from the outside, it didn't seem to end no matter how much Ah Li swam. He had already swam to the point where light could no longer reach the depth. But he had no problem seeing in the dark, so he simply swam lower and lower. But when he felt an energy, he sped up in excitement. As he swam further and further, the energy he sensed grew more and more powerful. Until he saw it.

"Is that... a flower?" Bibi Dong grew confused. It was a gorgeous rose, but not a normal looking one. Instead of being red, it had black and white petals instead, and was a lot bigger than a normal rose. Out of nowhere, Skydream came out, shocked beyond reason :"T-that's not just a flower... that's a 1,000,000-year Plant-type Soul Beast!"

"(WHAT?!)/WHAT?!" They both shouted in surprise, as shocked as Skydream :"It's the truth! Normally, I wouldn't be able to sense it because of the dense aura of ice and fire here, but I can clearly tell that it's a 1,000,000-year Soul Beast now that we're so close!"

"Another 1,000,000-year Soul Beast..." They whispered in amazement. Even the others in Ah Li's Spiritual Sea who were watching the outside were amazed speechless. 100,000-year Soul Beasts were rare as hell and nobody thought 1,000,000-year Soul Beasts even existed, yet they suddenly seem to just keep on popping out.

"(I didn't expect to see another 1,000,000-year here.)" Ah Li smirked :"(But no way in hell am I leaving it alone!)" Kicking the water, he descended further. Bibi Dong followed him :"Are you planning to convince it to become your Soul Spirit as well? I don't think it's going to be easy though considering it's a 1,000,000-year Soul Beast."

Skydream :"Why not? I'm a 1,000,000-year Soul Beast and I was convinced to join you all."

Bibi Dong :"That's different, you were in a desperate situation. We have no idea about this one."

Ah Li :"(Don't worry, you two. I'm sure it will work out just fine.)"

Skydream :"By the way, which Martial Soul do you plan to attach it to? I think the Ice jade Empress Scorpion is the best option since it definitely has a strong ice attribute with how it has lived here. I can even sense it myself."

Ah Li :"(No, I'm not going to do that. That's a great point, but it's not the best option. I'm planning to attach it to my Rakshasa Goddess Martial Soul instead.)"

Ice Empress :"(Hm, playing favorites, Ah Li?)"

Ah Li, chuckling :"(No, that's not the case. First of all, even though it is true that its ice attribute, which is most likely Ultimate Ice, is extremely suitable for you, the fact that its fire attribute is just as strong will definitely have side effects.

Second of all, you all may not be able to sense it, but I can sense immense Spiritual Power from it. If I'm correct, that Soul Beast should be a Spiritual Attribute Soul Beast instead but also has other attributes. Like you, Skydream. I think you can sense it too if you focus.)"

Skydream :"Huh? Wait, seriously? Let me check... whoa, you're right! It is actually a Spiritual Attribute Soul Beast! Damn, I must've not realized it because of being shocked at seeing a 1,000,000-year Soul Beast other than myself."

Ah Li :"(Right, and that's why I want to make it my Rakshasa Goddess's Soul Spirit. *Grinning* Also, third of all, wouldn't attaching it to the Rakshasa Goddess Martial Soul make it the perfect Soul Ring configuration? People wish and dream they would have an all 100,000-year Soul Ring configuration, yet I could actually have an all 1,000,000-year Soul Ring configuration instead! Wouldn't that be cool as fuck?!

No offense to you, Ice Empress, but I feel like it would be a waste of perfect intimidation if I attached it to my Ice jade Empress Scorpion Martial Soul. I think an all 1,000,000-year Soul Ring configuration is a lot cooler than half 100,000-year and half 1,000,000-year Soul Ring configuration.)"

Bibi Dong/Ice Empress :"Sigh, you're so childish."

Ah Li, snickering :"(Yeah, I know. Also, don't forget, Sister Goddess is a God-level Martial Soul. Attaching a 1,000,000-year Spirit to her will give her 4 Soul Skills. The power a God-level Martial Soul can obtain with a 1,000,000-year is a lot more than anything below it.)"
