CH 57: Fluff & Angst

Walking hand in hand, (A/N: fucking heretics) Ah Li and Bibi Dong looked around, enjoying the big city with snacks in their free hands. They weren't doing much, but Ah Li could see that she was enjoying it.

Having a physical body had made her feel like an actual living person again, and she was loving every second of it. They were getting a lot of attention though. But it was natural. Although Bibi Dong's face was covered, her demeanor, noble aura, the confidence she was walking with, and her outmatched body made it obvious that she was a remarkable beauty.

And besides, just her sinful body was enough to turn heads. Which earned the dissatisfaction and jealousy of many women. At least those who were entranced by Ah Li.

Although Bibi Dong was obviously an extremely beautiful fairy, Ah Li holding her hand wasn't anything to scoff at either. If Bibi Dong had charmed all the men, Ah Li had charmed all the women.

"Oh, let's check that shop, sister. They seemed to sell nice clothes." The noiret pointed at a store. Once she took a look and saw the clothes put up for show, she nodded :"Alright, let's go take a look."

"Hello, welcome." A lady said as they entered the shop. Greeting back, Bibi Dong led the way into the store. Walking around, she checked out the dresses and women's clothes while Ah Li looked around. It was a pretty nice store and was rather big. There was even a section for men's clothes.

"Li'er, wait for a moment." Picking a few clothes, she walked towards the dressing room. Not wanting to just awkwardly stand around, he followed her before taking a seat nearby.

"Ugh." He heard Bibi Dong's frustrated groan, so he called out :"Sister, you alright?" Her annoyed sigh came :"Yeah, it's nothing. Guess six years of living life how I did made me forget how to put on clothes too."

He couldn't help but chuckle, before smirking mischievously :"I can help you with that if you want." Causing her to chuckle :"No, thanks, cheeky brat. I can do it myself."

"Alright. The offer remains if you need help though." He snickered and Bibi Dong scoffed :"Sure, I'll keep that in mind." After waiting for a bit, she opened the door :"Alright, what do you think?"

'I wanna dick you down and do you all day.' He thought, no hesitation. Looking at the black jeans and blue shirt, which were hugging her breasts amazingly, his thoughts didn't change at all. But he had to filter those down bad thoughts. Looking her up and down, he nodded approvingly :"Amazing as always." He gave a thumbs up.

Turning from side to side in front of the mirror, she looked at the clothes too :"Yeah, they're not bad. Hey, eyes up here, sweety." His eyes quickly moved away from that fat ass that had mind controlled him. Oh, the irony.

Looking at her reflection, he gave a toothy smile. As she playfully rolled her eyes, smirking at his inability to take his eyes off of her, she closed the door again :"I'll try another set."

A minute or two later, she opened the door again :"What about this one?" Turning to her, he had to focus to not drool. Wearing a black skirt and an armless purple shirt, which showed a magnificent amount of cleavage, he had to use his Soul Power to keep his dick in check :"Ahem ahem, amazing as well." Something that she noticed immediately. Making her blush lightly, but also causing her to smirk.

"Glad to know." She swooned gently, moving in front of the mirror again. Giving him a good look as a reward. And seeing the eyes that were glued on her in the mirror, Bibi Dong figured he liked it a lot. The lip bite she saw made her feel some things too.

Minutes went like that. With Bibi Dong changing clothes and asking Ah Li for his opinion. Something that he enjoyed completely. After trying out a few more sets, she finally got out of the room with the clothes floating behind her. Soul Power was really convenient :"Alright, I'm done. Let's buy all of them."

"Sure." He nodded, getting up as a female worker came to them :"Do you two need anything?" Bibi Dong nodded as she moved the clothes towards her :"Yes, please pack these up for us to take."

"Yes, ma'am." She nodded before walking back. Ah Li wanted to follow her, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. Looking back, he saw Bibi Dong smiling sweetly with a men's shirt in hand :"Li'er, I'm finished, but you're still left."

"Ah, fuck..." His suffering began as he changed between the clothes Bibi Dong handed him, and kept handing over and over again. He finally remembered why he hated shopping. It wasn't a feeling he had missed.

"Thanks for your patronage." They finally got out of the store, and Ah Li looked like a hollow corpse. Earning him sympathetic looks from every guy that saw him. Chuckling, she gently grabbed his hand, interlocking their fingers as she winked :"Come on, don't look so down. Just a little shopping can't make you like that. The date has just started, so let's enjoy ourselves."

Smiling helplessly, the noiret let her pull him by the hand as they continued their date. At noon, they hit a famous restaurant with a garden. Thankfully, Ah Li was rich as hell because of all the Soul Beast corpses he had sold everyday for 6 years. Something like this was nothing to him.

"Ngh, that was fun!" Bibi Dong stretched, relieving herself from all the walking. All while Ah Li watched as her huge breasts bounced around. She noticed. Of course she did. But she didn't dislike his attention, so she didn't stop him.

Getting comfortable in the pavilion, waiting for their food, her eyes landed on the castle at the far off distance, a look of sadness in her eyes :"Right now, Xue'er should still be there..." She knew that Ah Li had sealed the space around them with Soul Power so nobody could hear them, so she was comfortable.

Ah Li :"Hm, that's right. She is disguising as Xue Qinghe right now."

Bibi Dong :"I... I always thought I hated her, because she was proof of what had happened to me. A proof and reminder of my suffering. But... I never had the heart to kill her."

Ah Li :"So you sent her away."

Bibi Dong :"Hm, so I sent her away. Thinking that as long as she was far away from me, I wouldn't need to care about her. She hated me, I hated her, it was a win-win that we couldn't see each other. God, was I wrong. When I realized how much I care for her, how much I love her, I regretted sending her away so much."

Ah Li :"It's understandable. She was your daughter. But you can't be blamed either. Few would care about a child born from r*pe. It's already amazing how you came to love her."

Bibi Dong :"Hm, but I'm still sad about it. If I hadn't done that, if I had just loved her like a mother should have, she wouldn't have suffered so much. Her entire childhood and youth was wasted away just because of my foolishness... I'm amazed at how she didn't hate me till my death, and forgave me at the end."

Ah Li :"She didn't forgive you, because she never hated you."

Bibi Dong :"Huh, how can that be? I wasted her life..."

Ah Li :"You didn't waste her life, she chose to live that way because she wanted to gain your approval."

Bibi Dong :"Huh?"

Ah Li :"Growing up, she never got your love, so she wanted to earn it instead. She probably thought by proving her worth and ability, you would come to love her. That's why she accepted coming here. Otherwise, do you think she couldn't stay with Qian Daoliu of all people backing her?"

Bibi Dong :"... Sigh, that makes it even worse. Instead of praising her for all her efforts, I always condemned her. What's worse, when that bastard Tang San ruined everything, instead of comforting her, I blamed her for what had happened instead..."

Ah Li :"I understand that you feel sad and blame yourself for it. Yeah, you were a bad mother, but that's in the past. And the past can't be changed. At least not yours. Remember, we can still change the fate of this world's Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue. And that's what we're going to do."

Bibi Dong :"Hm, you're right. Hey, Li'er... you said that there's an infinite amount of each world, right? Then... what happened to my world's Xue'er and Nana...?"

Ah Li :"... Sigh, your situation can be one of the two. Either you're from the future and were sent to the past, or you're from another universe in Douluo Dalu. If it's the first option, then that means everything can change. Qian Renxue's and Hu Liena's life both can be changed and they can be happy. But if it's the second option..."

Bibi Dong, biting lip :"Then everything has been ruined..."

Seeing the sad and bitter look, Ah Li's heart squeezed in itself. Seeing her sad was something he really didn't want to see. Cupping her cheek, he stroked comfortingly as she leaned into his touch :"It's not the end. As long as they're alive, it is possible to help them. Actually, if we can find a way to get even a temporary access to your previous universe, I'm sure we can pull them into this one."

"Do you... do you think that's possible?" She asked, tearful eyes growing hopeful as he smiled :"It is. And I promise we'll definitely make it come true. After all, they're your daughters, and I'd be damned if I didn't help them."

Pulling a chuckle out of her, he chuckled with her. Smiling against his palm, she looked at him fondly :"Thank you, Li'er. You don't know how much that would mean to me. I've always been worried about what happened to Xue'er and Nana."

"You're welcome. Your pleasure is my pleasure." He smiled, pulling back :"I know how it feels to lose your family. So since yours can be recovered, I'll definitely help make it happen."

Looking at the sad eyes, Bibi Dong's heart squeezed on itself. She had a soft spot for Ah Li. Even though she had begun to slowly love him as a man, she had raised him like her own son. So seeing those sad eyes looking down, a nostalgic smile on his face just as sad, she couldn't help but grab his hand. Gently stroking it, she pulled his attention :"Do you miss them? Your family?"

Ah Li :"I've missed them every second from the moment I lost them. It's like they say, you won't know the worth of something until you lose it. You only know how much family is worth when it's too late."

Bibi Dong :"Can't you do the same thing you planned for me? Bring them here?"

Ah Li :"It's not possible."

Bibi Dong :"Why not? You said it's possible for me."

Ah Li :"That's different. Universes are like spider webs, and they form a cobweb, a Multiverse. A collection of the same universes. We're in the Douluo Dalu Multiverse. And my family... they're in a completely different Multiverse. And besides, it's already too late..."

Bibi Dong :"Why is that?"

Ah Li :"... They don't even know me now..."

Bibi Dong, shocked :"What?"

Ah Li :"My wishes..."

Bibi Dong :"You're 5th wish... the one you never talked about."

Ah Li :"That's right. I wished for them and everyone to forget about me. For the entire world to forget about me. *Smiling sadly* Now, I'm not even a ghost of my past. Get it? Ghost? Your situation?"

Bibi Dong :"But why would you do that? Why would you do something so cruel to yourself? Being forgotten is an unimaginable suffering. Even I shudder at thinking of Xue'er and Nana forgetting about me. Why would you put yourself through that suffering?"

Ah Li, smiling :"So that my loved ones wouldn't experience that suffering."
