'From what Wulin told me Seto won't be convinced by a promise alone, he needs proof.' Gu Yuena thought to herself, her delicate finger swiping through the air with the grace and elegance befitting of her status as a king.
The water in the air froze at her command, a large spear of ice over two meters forming above the leopard, an extreme aura of a harness radiating from its thin form. The spear fell from the air under her control and empowered by gravity which she increased with the earth element.
Dodging to the right, a thick gash appeared on the unsullied figure of the king of this area of the forest. It was a deep wound however the location was most important as it reduced the creature's speed by limiting its control of its front left paw.
'I don't have any substantial achievements at the moment so I'd have to utilize my potential rather than my current abilities.' Gu Huena thought to herself, barely paying any mind to her opponent. Normally she wouldn't be this distracted but the issue was extremely large.
Coating its wound in soul power the beast attempted to limit the blood lost from the wound before it became detrimental. Underneath it, shadows themselves seemed to wriggle and vibrate quickly, the creature's body slowly entering the makeshift portal.
The dark element was one of the most versatile elements, its variety nearly rivaling that of the other four most basic elements combined. One such utility was the ability to use shadows in a similar manner to a spatial portal.
It was significantly worse considering its range was small and it required a dark area to teleport to but it was still extremely useful. Combining that was the dark element's natural affinity to 'evil' skills such as corruption, acid, or even energy theft it was a very powerful element.
'Using my talent as a bargaining chip I should be able to make him listen at least. After that, if I lay out my plan to him and offer a few benefits once I become the Pagoda Master he should at least consider it.' Gu Yuena thought to herself, the shadow portal under her enemy closing.
She didn't even need to command the element, it would just listen to her in fear of incurring her wrath should the beast escape. The elements weren't exactly sentient however they had enough instincts to build up an 'affinity' with others.
'After Seto will be Imort, he should be much easier to convince. He's supposedly only focused on research so offering the knowledge built up by the Spirit Pagoda for thousands of years alongside my own should be enough.' Gu Yuena continued.
Dozens of ice chains appeared out of thin air, their clear and reflective forms hiding extreme power and chill. Moving quickly the chains seemed to have a mind of their own as they chased their opponent no matter how he utilized his speed or jumped around.
'Hakm is also an issue but I have plenty of time. At the moment he is only a Candidate, while he is in the process of becoming a Slayer officially I will only have to build up a relationship with him. Then again, being close to Wulin may be more than enough for that.' Gu Yuena thought, her finger pointing at the beast elegantly.
Once more an ice spike formed above the creature thrashing and flailing around in its bone chilling prison. However when compared to the last it was much different. Its most notable difference was its size.
The other was fairly thick and over two meters long however this one was only the size of a small twig and its body was a deep blue. It was the same attack with the same energy however it was compressed to its utmost limits making a fairly standard attack much deadlier.
'FUG is dangerous because of their unwavering loyalty, if I can ally myself with those who everyone serves it will be an immense boon.' Gu Yuena mentally envisioned all possible scenarios before finally lowering her finger, the ice spike piercing through the beast's body.
It was an easy fight against a creature that no normal child nine years old could handle. It wasn't because the creature was weak, no it was because of three reasons that a mostly mindless beast couldn't fight back against even if it did have a strong bloodline.
The first was the most obvious and straightforward of the three. As the Silver Dragon King, King of Spirit Beasts, and a high tier divine beast the young Shadow Leopard King was inherently weaker, and not by a small margin.
The second was because she could limit all his most dangerous abilities. The beast was mostly focused on two factors, its strength, and its elemental control. Among those two factors, its elemental control was the main focus of its battle strategy.
The third was the most vague in nature, it was her own experience fighting somebody physically powerful. Her weekly battles with Wulin made her well versed in fighting a powerful opponent and her battles with Wu Zhangkong gave her experience fighting against those more skilled than her.
"You were weaker than I expected." Gu Yuena mumbled to herself, the blood stopping in the air just in front of her by controlling the water and iron in the blood using water and earth elements, the blood slowly falling to the ground as she lowered it down.
Combined together, the three factors made it so the fight was a breeze. To begin with, her power was higher than the beast in front of her, even in body strength though because of the size difference certain things were impossible.
In essence, all those three advantages did was make an easy fight even easier. Even without it all, she wouldn't have lost to it, especially a mere imitation, and she certainly wouldn't be injured to the degree of being forced out of the platform if she was injured at all.
"You couldn't even pierce through my shield with those claws." Gu Yuena muttered quietly, disappointment flaring in her voice. Her shield was a mere piece of compressed ice, it was something she could create nigh infinitely and her other half could destroy with ease.
Mu Xi would have been able to burn away the shadows and eventually win the fight though it would be close and Xie Xie's unpredictable fighting style would ultimately ensure he emerges victorious though it would be enjoyable to watch two assassins fight one another.
Her other half though… he was a different story altogether. Like her, he would find it nothing more than a nuisance, a fight so easy he wouldn't even have to pay attention to it all. It was like a child fighting a dragon even if Wulin stayed in his |Level 1| as he coined it.
"I suppose this way there is less of a mess." Gu Yuena thought to herself, her purple eyes gazing at the corpse with a small hole going through its skull. If Wulin were the one to fight it, there would be nothing besides a mush of entrails covering the surroundings.
Luckily, she had avoided such a result or else she may not want to hold his hand for a while.
