2.choosing a name and getting adopted by Huo yun’er

On the next day,when the sun had just started rising. A beautiful pair of eyes suddenly opened.

The fist thing he saw was the clear blue sky and the tall verdant trees. It was weird for him to have a body, he was used to being in an energy like state.

But coming back to his senses, he started checking out his surroundings. It was clear he was somewhere in a forest and from the sounds he was near a river.

After that he started to think about what he should do next 'now that I think about it,I have to choose a name to go by in this world'.

After thinking for a while for a name he choose a name that reminds him of his past.

'Xingxi' having chosen a name for himself he spread his will to the plants nearby asking them to make a handkerchief with the name sewn on it.

Suddenly, he heard foot steps coming near him.looking at the figure near the trees that was coming closer, he could just make out that the figure belonged to a woman.

She appeared to be heading to the river side with a basket filled with clothes.as she approached the area he could see her features more clearly.

The woman was quite beautiful with her dark blonde hair and aqua blue eyes. She wore blue dress with flower pattern's sewn into it.

As soon as she was about to disappear from view,he started make noises to catch her attention.

"Huh?!"The woman was startled by the noise and started looking around until she caught a glimpse of the basket.

Huo yun'er's p.o.v

her day had started normally,as soon as she woke up she ate breakfast,breastfeed her son and then went to do the housework.

When she finished she collected the dirty clothes in a basket and went to the river to clean them.

Along the way, she started reminiscing about her life until now.her name is Huo yun'er and she is a maid in the white tiger duke palace. She was born into a poor family but god favored her quite a bit.

She wasn't only smart,gentle,calm and kind.but she was also born beautiful and those traits earned her the favore of the duke.because when she was young she was the childhood friend and following his ascension to Duke, she became his personal maid attending to him. Then she became pregnant by him with his son . After his birth she was made into a noble woman.

But all good things come to an end,as following the Duke's departure to war, she was forced to live in a woodshed behind the servant's quarters by the Duchess who fabricated lies that she had an infectious disease.

It been a few months since the duke's departure.but what made her feel sad is that after his return he didn't even come see her or his newborn child.

And as a side effect to the treatment she got in the servant's quarters her body became weaker and the birth of her child worsened her state more.but since then she regained a bit of strength thanks to herbal remedies she made.

As she walked further to the river the cries of child broke her out of her reminiscing,and as she neared the basket the plants parted ways for her to move through.

As she knelt down next to the basket,a little hand shot out of the blanket revealing the baby underneath.she went to lift the baby but as soon as she touched his skin she felt a warm current going through her body.

What neither her nor xingxi knew was that as soon as he appeared from the rift his body started gathering the vitality between the heaven and earth and it was also the reason why plants protected and sheltered him as it benefited them as well.

MC'S POV

xingxi stared at the woman curiously because as soon as she touched him he could feel her entire life force slowly draining away, it was there's a parasite slowly killing her.

He had seen such things happening in his previous life,sometimes it was because of a curse,a parasite or an illness.but as he checked her body for those he didn't find any so that left him with one possiblity.

It was someone's meddling with her life and his or her goal is to kill her or make her obedient. As of now she was under his protection and he wouldn't let anyone hurt her.

He mobilized his mental power in the shape of two runes one that means life/health and the other is protection/concealment on his palm and patted her arm engraving the shapes on it.

Hao yun'er didn't feel any pain in the process as she searched the basket for any of the child's belongings but all she found is a handkerchief with a name on it and nothing else.

Reading the name in her mind, Huo yun'er repeated it out loud "Xingxi."making the baby smile at her.

She returned him to basket and lifted it with one hand while the other went to the basket with dirty clothes.making her way to her home she muttered out loud "from now on your name will be Huo Xingxi, and I'll take care of you along with my son.I hope in the future you will be good friends and brothers."

But Xingxi had already fallen asleep on the way home.but Huo yun'er wouldn't have to worry about them being friends and brothers,thier future bond is even stronger than life and death partners. But that wouldn't happen for a long time in the future.
