Chapter 4- Resonance and Spirit power

"Come out, Soul Coiling Staff!" 

Houwang felt a longing in his heart for the martial spirit of his mother, who summoned it after shaking off her thoughts after Houwang called her back to reality. 

"WOW! Mommy your Martial spirit is awesome!" exclaimed Houwang, wagging his tail with excitement, seeing a mysterious spirit, his green eyes filled with excitement and run to his mother to see the Soul Coiling Staff. 

"Hehe" laughed Yang Linge'r proudly after her son praised her spirit, sat on the grass ground and held the Soul Coiling Staff with hands so that both kids clearly could see the Martial Spirit for the first time.

It was twelve feet long, thoroughly glistening with black lustre and a snake-like dragon coiled around the staff giving a strong impression of attraction. 

"So this how a Martial spirit looks?" said Houwang feeling more spirited to awaken his Martial Spirit, Chengxiang circled the Soul Coiling Staff with enthusiasm after seeing a Martial Spirit for the first time.

"Haha tell me what should I do for now?" asked Yang Linge'r both of the kids were looking at her Martial spirit. 

"Aunty Linge'r, Can you show me the skills of your Martial skills?" asked Chen Xiang cutely with the shuttering words making her look like an adorable doll as Yang Linge'r's heart overflowed with cuteness and nodded her head after instructing them to stand in a safe place. 

Her performance showcasing her Spirit abilities was mesmerising, Bai Chenxiang was jumping and clapping but Houwang was closely observing his mother's movements. 

"That's cool mother" shouted Houwang, Yang Linge'r smiled foolishly after being prised by his son. 

Later he asked her about the basics of Staff movements, Yang Linge'r also explained slowly even though she thought her son couldn't understand a thing, still she explained and showed Basic Staff movements.

One year time flew by, and Tai Houwang became addicted to learning more about the Martial spirits of his parents and Grandfather. Especially Yang Wudi became supportive in explaining the full details of his Soul-Breaking Spear.

One day Yang Wudi couldn't hold back his eagerness to ask his Grandson about the enquiries on their Martial Spirits. 

"Because out of all three Marital spirits, I may awaken one of the martial spirits" said Houwang with a wide grin making Yang Wudi surprised and Yang Linge'r with her husband also had surprised faces looking at their son. 

"Haha, Never in my life I have seen a child like you," said Yang Wudi, laughing with amazement and Tai Wang looked at his wife who was gazing at her son full of pride. 

"And Grandpa also I want to know how to absorb the Spirit power through meditation or any different ways are there" asked Houwang, with a chuckle Yang Linge'r came to Houwang and lifted him in her arms. 

"But my dear son, without awakening of Martial spirit you couldn't able to absorb the Spirit power," said Yang Linge'r ruffling his spiky hair. 

"Huh? Why" asked Houwang with confusion. 

"Well, because even if you absorb the spirit power, it could slip away from your body due to your Innate Spirit power" explained Tai Wang in a simple way that could be understandable to his son. 

"Or else everyone in the Douluo Continent could have started making their children absorb the Spirit power from early ages onward but it is impossible" added Yang Wudi, nodding Houwang with understanding. 

"But you have to teach me anyway," said Houwang with disappointment but he had an idea and wanted to try in his free time. 

"Haha, Why not! knowing extra knowledge is not a bad thing" said Yang Wudi while laughing, All three started explaining to the Houwang how to meditate and absorb the Spirit power. 

"Thank you Mommy, Daddy and Grandpa I will go out," said Houwang with a wide smile on his childish face and went out to try his idea. 

"Father..." Yang Linge'r looked at his father who was gazing at her son with some thoughts on his mind. 

"Daughter, you start teaching your son some basics of handling Staff when he is at the age of 5, Son-in-law you should train him physically because at this age it will be safe to do some physical training" ordered Yang Wudi with a serious face-making Yang Linge'r difficult to say against it. 

"But isn't it too early for that Father-in-law," said Tai Wang, supporting his wife who was intense about the orders of Yang Wudi. 

"Yeah, I know but look at him even without in our presence this kid could do something dangerous on his own and if we teach him the mistakes and knowledge from an early age onwards it could be a blessing to my grandson," said Yang Wudi with a reassuring look to his daughter who nodded her head with understanding and even Yang Linge'r knew that her son character. 

"So you two should teach him some common sense because don't forget his body is mutated with Immortal Medicine power and we don't know what could be his Martial spirit," said Yang Wudi with a stern face like a warning to them, got up from his chair and went to the bookshelves to take a book. 

"Yes Chief Head" Both Yang Linge'r and Tai Wang bowed at him. 

"Leave"

In the bedroom, 

"Dear, even though Father is angry, I don't want to train my son at such a young age," said Yang Linge'r with saddness who wanted her son to have a normal life before awakening the Martial spirit. 

"Honey, the reason Father-in-law became serious about training our son is that our child is blessed with Immortal herb and if we don't properly teach our son, his talent will be wasted," said Tai Wang with a smile and hugged his wife in his embrace. 

"Humm...." nodded Yang Linge'r while she kept her head on his broad chest.

"Then I should look at some healthy food for my son's growth," said Yang Linge'r with a cheerful face and hugged her husband deeply with a happy smile. 

Meanwhile, Houwang sat on his bed doing meditation after learning the method of absorbing Spirit power by meditation from his family, Houwang tested out, and as his father said he couldn't absorb the Spirit power because of the restriction of his Innate Spirit level and absence of Martial spirit. 

'Even though I wasn't able to absorb the spirit power, I could sense this mysterious Spirit power that means because of my rebirth my spiritual power is more compared to others' thought Houwang, still he had some doubt about his abundant spiritual power. 

"From now onwards I should wake up early, and cultivate the Purple Qi in the early morning," said Houwang, knowing that he couldn't have the method to cultivate the Purple Qi like Tang San but still he wanted to try his luck. 

Tai Houwang formulated a routine of daily tasks, going up the hill facing the rising sun as he tried to absorb the Purple Qi from the east, learning the Spirit beasts details from his grandpa of course taught him the Martial spirits characteristics of all main clans in the Douluo Continent and finally meditate to absorb the Spirit power. 

Even after the discipline routine his naughty behaviour never changed, making his mother exhausted mentally and letting him chase all the Breaking Clan Mansion. 

All the clan members became familiar with the mother-and-son duo chase and even Yang Wudi laughed at their silly chasing. 

The main reason that Yang Linge'r tried to catch her son every morning was that Tai Houwang refused to let her bathe him, making Yang Linge'r angry after being refused for five straight days and that's why the famous chase became famous in the Breaking clan. 

After Yang Linge'r's chase, Houwang washed up and sat in an open place looking pissed off.

"puff!" 

"Don't laugh at me" pouted Tai Houwang seeing Bei Chengxiang laughing at him after witnessing Houwang carrying him like a potato bag for bathing by his mother. 

"I can't help because you look like a potato bag when Aunty carried you" said Bai Chengxiang, holding her tiny stomach and laughing out loud. 

"Wah-Wah" Tai Houwang imitated her laugh with a slightly angry face, Bai Chengxiang stopped her laugh and quietly sat beside him. 

"Sorry, I won't laugh at you" apologised Bai Chengxiang, clinging to Houwang's arm while she secretly gazed at his tail which was waging happily and sighed with relief knowing that he was not angry at her. 

'Thank you Aunty' thanked Bai Chengxiang while giggling after all Yang Linge'r had given to Chengxiang's pointer to find out if Houwang cooled down from anger. 

"Hmph! Have you seen your grandfather's Martial spirit?" asked Tai Houwang excited to learn about the Needle-Tailed Swift spirit. 

"Yes, Houwang and as you said I felt a mysterious and close feeling when I saw my Grandpa's Martial spirit" said Chengxiang with an eager face to explain the feelings she experienced when she saw the elegance Needle-Tailed Swift spirit. 

"This is only my observation and experiment Chengxiang, I think you will awake Needle-Tailed Swift spirit," said Tai Houwang, folding his hands while falling into his thoughts and Bai Chengxiang looked at him with a blank face. 

"Howwang, Anyone could tell I will awake my grandpa's spirit," said Bai Chengxiang staring at him who was shaking his head knowing that Chengxiang didn't fully understand the meaning of his words. 

"Anyway, come let's play outside," said Bai Chengxiang after all she begged her parents and grandpa to see Houwang. 

"Sure," said Tai Houwang with a smile, knowing in the future they would have to face the inevitable war between the two empires and Spirit Hall. So he wanted to relax and enjoy as much as he wanted in his second life of childhood enjoying with peacefulness.
