The energy they use is called chakra, which is generated through the combination of a person's physical and spiritual energy. In addition, each ninja has a different chakra nature, which influences the techniques they can use. The chakra nature can be elemental, such as fire, water, wind, earth or lightning, and it can also be non-elemental, such as healing or spatial."
