Chapter 29

Twenty three years ago, Lucille was with Shannon in their little apartment. Shannon was five years of age as at then. Lucille was thinking about what Shannon would eat when her husband Bob came inside the house.

She went to hug Bob and Bob asked of Shannon.

“She's asleep.” Lucille said pouring him a glass of water.

Bob sat down and gulped down the water. Lucille asked, “How did it go in finding a new job?”

Bob sighed, “I couldn't get anything Lucille, but a friend of mine offered to take me to his friend who is in need of a driver.”

Lucille looked at her stomach, “A driver Bob. We can hardly afford to feed ourselves. Now we have Shannon and my little baby in me.”

Bob touched her stomach, “Hey there baby girl, it's your dad, I promise to give you a good life, no matter how many struggles and hardship I'll go through....I will give you a good life.”

Lucille held her stomach, “I trust you to do that Bob. Do you have any money? At least for Shannon to eat.”
