Chapter 46

When Addy entered VEES BRAND building, everyone knew who he is straight away, and there was murmuring in the background.

He didn't bother going to the receptionist at the front desk to inform them, to let whosoever he was here to see, knows he's around. He went straight to the elevator and pressed the top button that leads to Eva's office.

When he got up the top floor, where Eva's office is, he got out of the elevator and it was Gary who saw him first

"Holy moly, is he a god or what" he is very satisfied with what he's looking at

"Where is your boss office?"

Lillian recognised that voice, so she came out of her office to see if she wasn't hearing stuff.

"Mr Thompson?"

Leo saw Lillian and waved, but she didn't bother waving back. Leo had tagged along purposely because he wanted to see Lillian.

"I'm here to see Eva... I mean Miss Williams" he corrected himself

"She's in a meeting at the moment, but I don't think you have an appointment with her"

"Don't worry, she will understand"

He didn't bother waiting for Lillian's responds, he strode to Eva's office door, as he was about to knock, the door opened wide, but to his surprise, it wasn't what he was expecting.

He was shocked to see his nemesis leaving the love of his life office, but he tried to hold himself well, to not show his reaction.

Lillian tried to enter before him, but his long legs were faster than hers.

Eva was so shocked to see Addy in her office, she wanted to jump on him to hug him, but she was too shy and angry to do so.

"Ma'am I tried to ..." Lillian tried to explain

"It fine Lillian don't worry" Eva replied calmly, but her heart is beating fast

"Ok ma, if you need anything..." she did a motion with her hands that says call me while nodding her head. As she was about to leave the room,

"Can you throw these in the bin please?" Eva gave her the things Jack brought

"OK" Lillian replied

She excused herself and shut the door behind her.

The moment Lillian shut the door, Addy went to her side and gave her a big tight hug, he was so jealous of seeing another man coming out of her office and he could tell it was Jack who brought those flowers and chocolate.

Eva was surprised by his action but didn't refuse it, in fact, she hugged him back and shut her eyes to inhale his cologne, she finds it calming. After a long silence in the embrace of each other, they release themselves.

"What are you doing here?" Eva asked shyly

"To see you of course," he replied looking into her perfect hazel green eyes

"Really? Why?" Eva blushed and was turning red because she was embarrassed and shy

"I don't think I have any other reason than, I missed you so much, and I just want to hug you, especially since yesterday morning. I tried to hold myself to not come here, but I couldn't anymore" Addy was worried he had offended her.

"Aww, that is so sweet of you" Eva was so grateful. The more she gets to know him, the more shes falling for him.

He's so relieved so wasn't angry.

"How are you feeling now? Compared to yesterday?" Addy asked

"I'm feeling better at least I'm optimistic, but surprisingly, everyone that cancelled their appointments rebooked them and we even gained more VIP clients" Eva replied. Surprisingly she feels so comfortable talking to him as close as they were right now.

"That's great news" Addy stroked her hair. She blushed.

"Are you blushing?" Addy asked teasingly

"No... I'm not" Eva replied shyly

"What if I do this?" Addy inched closer, his lips are almost touching hers. He is trying to tease her, but it seems he is the one getting punished.

He quickly pulled away and looked at Eva that has turned completely red.

"I said it you are blushing" he giggled

"What if I am? You are in my space" She pushed him away

"Don't worry my Queen, I won't tease you anymore" he kissed her on her forehead.

"It's almost time for lunch, let's go for Lunch" He continued. Eva was shocked when he kissed her on the forehead, but felt some kind of joyful feeling deep inside of her.

She snapped out of it when Addy held her hand to lead her out of her office.

She tried to remove her hand from his grasps, but for some reason, she couldn't.

Meanwhile...

'He looks so quiet and calm today' Lilian thought, as she was looking at Leo through her office window.

He seems to be occupied with his thoughts because he didn't even notice her staring.

Lilian came up to him, with a cup of coffee, and handed it to him.

He collected it and took a sip

"Hmm...just the way I like it. You make the best coffee ever, I missed this"

Lilian didn't reply and went back to her office.

Gary was wondering what was going on, it seems they know each other before, from how they looked at each other, talked and ignored each other.

A few minutes later, he finished the coffee.

He went to knock on Lilian's door,

"Come in..." she thought it was Gary but when she realised it was Leo, she shouted

"Get out"

Leo was expecting this reaction anyway so he wasn't shocked.

"I just wanted to ask how you are feeling, I heard the news yesterday"

"And how is that your fucking business, stay out of my business, you've done enough' Lilian replied

"Lily..."

"Don't you ever call me Lily again, you don't have the right to?" She said she will forgive him, but it seems so hard to forgive him like that.

"Okay sorry, didn't mean too" Leo replied feeling so sad. He doesn't know what he can do to make her forgive him.

"Can you shut the door on your way out"

He didn't want her to be angrier than she already is, so he answered her.
