Chapter 21

Carrie and her entourage were speechless at the sight of the dress, it was one of a kind and was tailored personally for her. She couldn't wait to get into the dress and check the mirror to see how it looks on her.

Carrie went to the position where the dress is to admire it further and she just couldn't stop saying 'WOW, it's gorgeous'. Eva told here to stay there to change into the dress as Gary shut the curtains closed again.

As Carrie stepped in the dress, tears of joy began to flow, she couldn't imagine how beautiful she looked now in the dress not to talk of when she's done her makeup and finished the look.

Eva behind the curtains was satisfied with the reaction as she said

"Would you like me to open the curtains now?"

"Yes please" Carrie squeaked happily

Eva signalled to Gary as he pushed the button again to open the curtains.

Standing in the spotlight was Carrie in the dress looking like a goddess or an Ice Queen with all the blings shining.

Her mom was crying and smiling at the same time

"Wow, it looks so good on you, this is definitely your dress," her mother said

"Yes Carrie, this is definitely your dress, you look so beautiful and the dress is gorgeous" her best friend commented

As Carrie was checking herself out in the mirror, Eva walked up to her with a veil of similar detail at the edges.

"This is a gift from our company to show our appreciation for shopping with us," Eva said as she placed the veil carefully in her hair. Eva tries to give every bride that has shopped in her company a gift, which includes bracelets, necklace, earrings and for those who customised their wedding dress she gives them a customised veil as well.

Carrie was so touched and she could feel the love in the brand and company that she just had to hug Eva and personally invited Eva to her wedding. Eva accepted the invitation card and after a while, she promised to post it carefully to her house by the end of the day. After Carrie and her entourage had left, Eva instructed everyone in the room their next task.

"Gary, can you handle the packaging of this dress personally?" Eva instructed. Gary is a homosexual guy, who is very proud of his sexuality. He had applied to many companies before working at VEES BRANDS, but they turned him down due to his sexual view of the world, but when he came for his interview at VEES BRANDS, they didn't judge him based on his sexuality but his qualifications. Since then he has always view Eva and Lilian like a big sister he never had.

"Yes big sis" Gary replied with a wink

Eva was already used to him calling her big sis, and she just couldn't be bothered even though they are at work. She just finds him so cute.

She rolled her eyes and left the room to her office.

On her way to her office, she got a notification on email.

When she settled down in her office, she opened her email to see who sent her the email. She realized it was Thompsons Realtor, telling her to come to their office the next day.

"Who told them I can't drive myself down to City Y" she murmured

She replied to the email stating that she would prefer to go to City Y herself and that they should send the location where they would want them to meet, she would gladly go there herself.

She called Gary on her intercom to come to her office.

When Gary arrived, she explained to him, he that she won't be in the office the next day and he would be in charge till she gets back if anything complicated, he shouldn't hesitate to contact her. Before he left her office, he asked her if she would like him to get her lunch but she declined.

"Big sis, you know you need the strength, so you have to eat regularly since Sis Lilian is not in the office today, I can join you at lunch today" everyone close to Eva knows she doesn't like to eat alone, though they do not know why but they know shes always eating lunch with Lilian.

"Yeah sure, you can order the usual from the restaurant" Eva replied. Gary is always the one Lilian sends on an errand since he is her assistant. So he knows the food Lilian orders regularly.

After Gary left the room, Eva called the Doctor, to know if Lilian is ok.

"Good afternoon Doc, sorry I've just got the time to call, hows she?" Eva asked

"Good afternoon Miss, she's exhausted, stressed, tired and it seems shes remembering some hurtful memories from the past, but all in all shes fine and not in any major danger. After resting for a couple of days with the medications I prescribed her, she should be fine." the doctor replied

"Ok, thanks. Talk to you later" as she hanged up, she called her mansion to check up on Lilian.

It was Rhoda that picked up, and she explains that Lilian is still in bed but grandma had forced her to take the porridge and her medications. Eva was satisfied with the update and asked about everyone else including her daughter, and hanged up.

Gary came back with the lunch, as he placed it on the table sectioned out for meals. While eating Gary told Eva he would love to go visit Lilian and she agreed.
