Chaos in Japan

Felizy cannot stay with us. We don't need a psychologist here...You can leave with her if you think. If we fill in the space with a psychologist and the person we need come around..."

"Can I have a moment with my siblings?" Said Felizy calmly.

They closed the van door and Hailey held Tom's hand firmly.

"You should just stay here. I will go home, bring whatever we need and I will work with another partner of mine who seems to know this place well. I will come back to you."

"We cannot leave you out there alone." Said Tom sharply.

"and I cannot stay out there alone. See! The chaos in Japan has expanded to North Korea. These people here believe that they are the only ones that know about the Japanese Chaos...It still doesn't concern us because we are in Africa. We must seize this opportunity...We need to do something about us and we can only survive here. If you all decide to leave because of me...we will all die but if you guys are here... I will have people to meet." Felizy said boldly.

"Fine! They will stay but I cannot leave you alone spider." Bruno said sadly.

"I cannot take care of our other siblings and you know Tom Pampers Hailey a lot. You should be here to protect them. Don't say No please." Felizy pleaded.

"I will release you only if you promise to call from time to time and also come back alive without getting infected," Tom whispered sadly.

"I promise..." Felizy paused and looked at the quiet Hailey. She looked scared. "Baby sis...Don't be like this and make sure you remember to brush your teeth every morning till I come back to remind you." She held Hailey closer to her body and kissed her left eye. Tears dropped on her cheeks and Tom took her from Felizy.

"The bald man is waiting out there and it's late. The spider should get going so that she will get home early." Bruno said as if there was nothing wrong and pushed the door open.

"Are you guys staying?" asked the policeman.

"Sure but your guys out there must be responsible for her safety. We want to help you here and you must be ready to do so too." Bruno said clearly.

"Fine. We will assure her safety...at worst, we will take her to the government house. The president of the country is there and the place is safe." The policeman looked at Felizy assuringly.

"Take everything in the Van...I will get going." Felizy said and some unknown men went to help them with the luggage.

She went back to the empty van and was about to drive out when Bruno ran to meet her.

"Spider! Spider!!" Bruno screamed and

Felizy tapped down. "Spider!" He called panting. "Please..." he breathed heavily and cupped her masked face. "I just want to say goodbye and I love you dearly...drive safely." 

"I love you too."

Bruno stood like a miserable man and Felizy could not look at his face anymore. She tapped up, hit the break and drove out of site.

While driving home, she turned on the radio. Firstly, it was some American rock music. She got bored and changed the channel to the local news.

'The Japanese virus has spread to Korea and it seems like some parts of Asia will be in trouble soon. According to what we heard, there were some university students on vacation in Korea...one of them called his father but died while telling his dad about the incident. His father said he heard some strange noises of unknown creatures.... his son's friends screaming and his son joined shortly after. He also told us that he heard some banging, violent and all sorts of weird sounds before the call dropped.

For travellers, Asia is not safe anymore.....' Felizy turned off the radio and checked the backpack on the seat beside her to take the garage remote.

After packing the car successfully, she removed her protective equipment and trashed it in the garage. She removed her phone from her pocket and called Bruno.

"Spider is home after a long road crawl," she said jokingly and smiled warmly.

"I want to talk to Hailey too....she can hear me?...that's great...Baby sister...I'm great please be fine and I hope Tom is not pampering you....Tom! Make sure she brushes her teeth before going to bed... right...I miss you too...Bruno! I will end the call now. Nice night." She finally ended the call and left the garage.

Half of Asia was infected within 24 hours and people from all over the world later had the idea of what the infected people look like. They look thin, pale, grey or reddish blind eyes, elongated teeth, dry long nails, scaly and bruised skin, blood and maggots all over their bodies. They are also dangerous and super fast. The virus takes 84.02 seconds to infect an uninfected person and not everyone gets infected. Asians were restricted from every part of the world and those who were not Asians but escaped to their home country were isolated and allowed into the country after 8 days of isolation.

"Darling, I'm around! I will get to your school soon." Said a tall Frenchman.

He ended the call and called another person while driving.

"Felizy. I want to get my girl and I'm scared before things become..."

"Where is she?" Felizy cut in.

"Uhm.. North Korea."

"Wait! What?"

"Yeah..."

"What's she doing there?"

"She escaped from the south when this chaos started. She went to her mum for a holiday....uhm....you know...my wife's from South Korea....the north has 100% protection at the moment. Their soldiers are doing their best but you know my daughter must not be sighted...she's hiding somewhere..."

"And how will you get her from the NORTH? I think you should just...I don't know..."

"I have a political connection in America, I have called for assistance and a letter has been sent to the North to prepare them for our arrival and...we didn't tell them what we are going there for....we just want to discuss the whole infection thing with them and how they can be saved..."

"What if they find her before you get there?...it means things are going to be tough...they will kill you all before you land because you deceive them...and her safety is just 1 of 100...poor!"

"That's why we need to get there sooner."

"Well! If you get to Africa early, she can stay with me....if...only if she's not infected."

"Fine and thanks." He said genuinely and ended the call.

The train arrived in Madrid and two men got down amid the crowd to the Real Madrid stadium. They saw the coach from afar and the taller man whispered some words to his partner.

"Hey yo old wierdie. How are you?" The taller man greeted the coach informally as they got closer.

"Hey! Justin. How are you?"

"Fine coach and this is Lucas..." he held him closer to his body and smiled warmly. "...my husband..." Justin said proudly.

"Oh!.." he shook hands with Lucas. "I'm coach  Militao and your husband's old friend."

"It's nice meeting you coach Militao." Lucas smiled warmly and Militao released his hand.

"Why are you two here today?....heard about the Asian chaos?" Asked the coach.

"We are here to talk about it and how we're going to survive." Said Justin sharply.

"Our men are supposed to play in Italy this week but this whole disease of a thing plus the Japanese infection will not make it possible."

"Is football going to an end?" asked Lucas.

"We hope not but things are going from bad to worse." Said Coach Militao.

"Let's go in." Said Justin and Coach Militao led the way.

"Did you hear about Alex...this Frenchman...American politician..." said Militao.

"Heard he's going to North Korea with some American ministers," Justin said briefly.

"Is he crazy? What sort of suicidal meeting? The whole South Korea is infected and the North are fighting hard to stop them from entering their territory." Lucas said in a frustrated tone.

"I heard nothing about the South Korea thing but he should have his reasons for going and if he dies...so be it..." Militao was interrupted by Justin.

"He's Lucas's uncle."

"Really?...but I guess they are not close because he should have informed Lucas and he could have gotten some brain-shaking advice from him."

"The news is still a secret to people outside the white house but we got the news by chance." Justin entered a room after Coach Militao.

"And you don't think it's the right thing to inform me?" Lucas said in an emotional tone.

"I never want you to worry about anything..."

"Alright couple....he's gone and you can only help by praying for him..."

After eating about 6 tofu, Felizy smiled broadly.

"I like...I mean I love tofu!!!!!" She looked at the plate and smiled. "Now! back to work." She pushed the plate aside and filled the space with her laptop.

She started typing and reading curiously as if she was trying to get millions of information in her head at once.

"North Korea is invaded? Alex is in North!" Felizy opened her eyes wide.

Alex and his other ministers including the North Korean officials were escorted out of the North Korean president's building to the Military zone. The soldiers were shooting, and killing some infected people out of their way to allow safe passage for the president and others.

"I told my daughter to meet me at the airport where the jet is and she is there but I don't know where we are going. I'm scared." Alex whispered to one of the senators while they were trying to meet up with others.

"We should call the pilot and tell them to allow her in for safety." He whispered back.

"How? We cannot even talk openly."

"Keep your voice down, I will do it." He took out his phone and called the pilot. "There is a 20-year-old half-caste lady over there, Her name is Eliot. She will come to you, let her in and take care of her." He ended the call and winked at Alex.

"Thanks, buddy." He took his phone and started calling his daughter. Suddenly he stopped and looked at his phone. He looked scared and wasted.

"You cannot mess around here...let's go." He grabbed him firmly and they both joined others in the race.

"No connection, I can't reach my daughter." He whispered.

"Fuck! I will try to call the pilot here." He dialled the number but it was not reachable.

"The connection is messed up. Fuck!"

"Keep your voice down....how can we divert to the airport?."

"Are you crazy? We have to move with these people, otherwise, we are gone." He replied as they entered the military cars and the cars took off at a rough pace.

At the airport, Eliot was running as far as she could to get away from the hungry creatures running towards her. The pilot saw Eliot running towards them and immediately recognized the person he was to save.

"Allow her in before they get to her....instruction from the minister." Immediately they went to create a means of entry and waved at her to come in their direction.

She ran towards them with great speed but the creatures were getting closer to her. She managed to hold one of them. She held him firmly and soon the creatures were all over her. One of the creatures grabbed her left leg, pulling her down with great speed. She started screaming and trying to climb up while the man holding her did not give up on her. Another creature grabbed her second leg and she screamed.

Alex and the ministers got to the military zone, while they were stepping out of the car, Alex was whispering to the senator again.

"My daughter! You know I'm here for her. How can we get to the jet? She's all I've got...please."

"Let's get out of here first...then we will offer to take their president with us for maximum protection. Hopefully, we will take our jet."

"Good idea....thank you...."

He was interrupted by a loud thud and they both tried to get outside but the creature had grabbed one of the ministers outside and other creatures had surrounded them. Those who were at the front did not bother to go back to the military car while the remaining three in the car were lost. Most of the soldiers were bitten by the creatures and soon they became one of them.

The creatures tried to enter the car with the three but one of them was lucky to close the door on time.

Eliot was still screaming, the creatures were biting hard on her knee-length boot. Suddenly there was a deafening sound and half of the creatures surrounding her fell dead on the ground, including the ones holding her legs. She looked up at the lady beside the man holding her and she was holding a strange weapon. The man quickly pulled her up, lifted her inside the jet and the door was locked.
