chapter 40: Another one

Don was circumventing every fireball by jumping from place to place, He wanted a close distance between the attacker and him but every time he does what he had planned it wasn't working out. that guy was using long-ranged attacks repeatedly

" His mana was increased ... " Don roll aside as he avoids one of the fireballs and again, dashed towards him.

That guy Jumps backward throwing a fireball at where he stood previously, a fireball exploded at the ground with that dust and few stones flew in the air making it hard to see the target. after the dust was cleared Don's disappearance dumbfounded him.

Don hid in the darkness after taking cover of the explosion, especially Don restrained his breathing so he couldn't able to locate him, And as he expected his opponent started to get frustrated.

Don was able to see every action made by him but That guy was only seeing the darkness in front of his eyes. after moments of frustration and screaming, mindlessly he ran into the forest to follow Don even he didn't have an idea where he was gone.

Don was following him silently for few minutes until he saw an opening, That guy gritted his teeth and in anger, he started throwing fireballs all over the place until his all mana was drained.

Don gets out from the shadows behind him intending to finish off him however second thought made him stop. he thought it was the best opportunity to test his strength after leveling up, Don tapped on his shoulders two times to take his attention, and when that guy turns to Don delivered the Gut punch.

He flew away and crashed on the dried tree by making noise ....Thaddd...

That Guy was dropped on the ground like a toy however one punch was not enough to take him down, he stood on Legs spitting blood from his mouth and at the same time glaring at Don

Don enclosed the expanse between them and grabbed his face and began slamming his head on the tree several times until that guy's hands stop moving ...He released him after seeing a massage

But before he can do anything he whacks with an electric shock " Ahh..." Don kneels on the ground as he trembled. he turns back at the opponent who was attacked from behind.

Another guy was showed up and attacked Don instantly after seeing Don. Don senses delayed grasping his presence due to chanting voice.

Putting his both hands together that guy intending to use thunderstrike. The best attack by Thunder mages but it was nearly impossible for E ranked heroes to use it, sometimes E ranked heroes able to use Fire breath and Frostbite but Thunderstrike was beyond their limits even D ranked thunder mages were struggled to use it and let alone E ranked hero wanted to use it, Don knew this so he Didn't care that much but he thought better safe than sorry ...

Don waited for his attack coz he Doesn't have any other options, the distance between them was too far or even Don disappeared into the Dark forest there was a chance that he could track him, unlike last time when Don used perfect Time to rush into the Forest but this time he didn't have anything to cover him.

But Don already made up his mind to kill him, he sprinted toward him avoiding as many attacks as possible, Some times Thunder ball hits him because of his lacking speed, Don took direct blasts without caring too much but surprisingly that guy made a big Thunder ball in front of his palms

" Fuck ... this is going to hurt " Don gulped and paused his movements, in a matter of seconds Thunder ball comes towards Don as he penetrated airs along the way

Don rolls aside as soon as possible and thankfully he has completely avoided the big thunder ball, that ball crashes beside Don making a small crater with that small shock wave formed and Struck Don.

Don gritted his teeth as he felt harsh pain all over his body

" I have to end this quickly " Don rushed at him as he avoided Thunder balls in his path, Don wanted to punch him on the face and when he came close to him he delivered the blow towards his face, but that guy sidesteps him and used his thunder on Don using his hand's touch

Current runs through Don's entire Body making it hard to move even an inch unexpectedly Don was decided to attack him in this dire situation

Don pulled him close and gave a headbutt after that hit Blood was started dripping through that guy's nose as he was stunned for few moments but Don did not let his hands go and with a powerful punch he shattered his ribs ...crack...

That guy coughed a mouthful of blood and fear flashes from his eyes " Don't ... hit me"

Don released the tight grip of his hand and as he stepping back he delivered a kick, That guy bounces back. with struggling hands, he managed to sit on the lap

" That....voice ... its-"

Suddenly Ice sword was penetrated That guy's chest as he drops to the ground lifelessly

Don shocked after seeing the person who killed that guy ...Wendy

wendy came out of the Dark forest with a darting gaze at Don.

Don could see her different facial expressions, he had thought Heroes that consumed by voice were able to surpass their natural limits, And become like they are immune to feel any pain but one thing he couldn't imagine that what if a D ranked Hero consumed by That voice, This thought made Don tremble in the uncertainty of upcoming encounter

he was observed Wendy carefully and as each second passes his suspicion surging to new heights

Usually, The higher rank of the person has the higher will power but if were these heroes somehow or with time being consumed by the voice then they will be incredibly dangerous,

" Why did you kill him ... he recovered his -"

" I want to see her face .... after killing..you myself .." wendy summoned more than four Ice spikes in the thin air, darting her bloody eyes on Don

Don wasn't even able to saw these spikes as they pass by him before he finishes his sentence...but fortunately, with his instinct, he avoided most of them except one, that one ripped his shirt on his hand

" ... " his eyes were wide open after seeing how close that attack was but again he saw More spikes summoned by Wendy.

He scooted behind a dried tree to cover himself from her attack, Few of the ice spikes stuck on the dried tree, and a few of them scattered as they hit the grounds

" Do you... think you can hide from me " Wendy created a big ice sword in the air and launched on the tree

Don felt relieved after her ice spikes weren't able to penetrate the tree but again Wendy shouted in anger, Don dives away from the trees when he felt Big swords coming in that direction...Ice sword was successfully penetrated the tree trunk and stuck in it like a piece of art at the gallery

Don stood up looking at that sword as he couldn't able to jerk the thought that what if that sword ... shit ... I have to run away I can't face her she was a lot difficult to deal with ...
