“Yeah, I’ve been having some difficult moments and there was a dispute recently at school,” I tell her.
“Oh, so things aren’t going well?”
“No, not really… I hate to say it like that, but my mind has just been messing with me and I just don’t know how to deal with it.” I tried to explain it to her. “I’m just trying to figure it out slowly.”
She nods, “I’m sure everything hasn’t been so easy with the move, but I’m glad that you’ve been trying.”
I turn to her, “Has dad been okay after everything too?”
She sighed, “Your dad let himself get a little depressed for a while when you were in the hospital and after you were discharged. I think he blamed himself for a while thinking that he could have done something.” she tells me. “You never told him that you were struggling and then he found you like that… It took him a while to process everything.”
“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to leave a mark like that on him and also on you.” I said looking down.
