Selective Few

Blob had woken up to see an empty room, looking around as he wiped the bags under his eyes, He was pretty famous around the world for his book, and yet he had still slept on a mat on the floor. He stretched a little, rolling up his may before getting dressed and heading to his workplace, watching as an employee swung the door to the entrance open and skipped out, nearly hitting him in the nose. "Asshole" He mumbled irritably as he headed to his office and logged onto his computer for the first time of the day, seeing multiple email notifications popping up on the screen, yet not a single one of them had wished him a happy birthday, meh, he wasn't complaining. He went to check the email, the usual offers and sponsorships had popped onto the screen, but something caught his eye, an email from someone he hadn't recognized. He clicked it open and read.
