Child of Prophecy
Ren was about to work when he held the pickaxe when he was suddenly bombarded by a barrage of question.
[Overseer: Hey, you're the one who bought the thing right?]
[Overseer: Hey, answer me ASAP, if you're the one who bought that God's blood talk to me.]
[Overseer: Hey, if you manage to buy that God's blood, why don't you sell it to me?]
Ren saw that he had lots of message requests asking to buy the God's blood from him. He then sent a message to the overseer since he's the only one in his contact list and he doesn't really trust those that are in his message requests, at least not yet.
[FarmerRen: Yeah, I did buy the blood and unfortunately for you, I've already drank it.]
[Overseer: Whaaaat?! You've already drank it?! Well, that sucks.]
[FarmerRen: Why are you even concern with a vial of blood? You're already a God, why are you so concerned about it?]
Ren's curiosity was piqued so he sent a question to the Overseer.
[Overseer: You might not know this since you're new to the market but any item that contains a God's will and Legacy is bound to be priceless. The seller of the vial of blood that you bought from released a statement that that vial of blood did indeed contain the legacy of a strong God.]
[FarmerRen: Then why are you bothering with a vial of blood when you're already strong yourself? Wait... don't tell me you're going to scam me and buy it with a lower price don't you? Then sell it to an auction and reach a high price for a vial of a God's blood.]
The overseer didn't answer Ren proving that what Ren said is right. Now, Ren slightly felt better after buying a precious item for sale and no one bought or fought for it. But it doesn't change the fact that the blood changed some of his physiological stats.
Ren also felt like the transformation was not done yet, at least his instincts told him so. That's why he doesn't want anyone touching him right now. He can't control the poison he is currently emitting, and he is having a hard time adapting right now but sooner or later he will have to force himself to adapt to survive.
Ren was about to start digging the ground once again when he felt a jolt in his head and the book appeared in his mind and opened itself and lead Ren to the section 'Basics of farming' there, Ren saw the different kinds of tools in planting and found out that there are different farming forks that he could use to make his work easier but what piqued his interest is the sudden jolt in his head.
'Does it mean that I can remember everything the first time I see it?' Ren thought to himself.
'My body didn't upgrade that much but my brain capacity increased by a lot?' That Jolt really caught him off guard.
Ren then took his mind off of it and changed the pickaxe into a spading fork. He then started stabbing the ground with force, stabbing it deep before pushing the fork up using his back to raise the land up.
He continued doing it for hours until he finished clearing out the plot he planned on working on. After that, he tried to see if there's a fertilizer that he could buy and use in a poisoned land.
Unfortunately, all he saw were basic fertilizers. It would be useful if its a normal plot of land but his was not one.
He can't even make a simple compost to help add nutrients to the soil as well as introduce earthworms making the soil quality higher because the problem is in the land itself. The earthworms die in the poison lands in seconds, even if he try to use the leaves as a mulch or land covering that would make the soil have a good water retention, it doesn't work because the leaves wither easily when dropped in the land.
Ren had no choice but to use it as it is. He's not optimistic about the harvest because he doesn't know if the land is nutritious enough for the crops to grow a good yield of harvests.
After digging up all the loam soil, his work is done. He needs to at least let the land 'breathe' for a few weeks before planting the seeds. After wiping the sweat on his face with his shirt, he tried to find Yoruichi so that they can call it a day.
What he saw put a wry smile on his face. Yoruichi is lazing around on a tree branch in her cat form. Her clothes are scattered all over the place.
He picked up the clothes and folded it neatly. He then called out to Yoruichi so that they can finally go home.
"Let's go home, Yoruichi. The groundwork is finally finished. ALSO DON'T THROW YOUR CLOTHES AROUND! YOU'RE NOT A KID ANYMORE!" Ren shouted to Yoruichi to wake her up.
"Eh? I'm a cat you know? Cats always makes a mess... meow~" Yoruichi said with her paw striking the air and making a cute pose.
Ren had a tick mark on his temple but decided to let it go. He still have lots of things to worry about. First is to fully integrate the skills he learned from Korosensei, second, is to find another plot of land suitable for farming, third, is to find a stable income and stable food while waiting for the land to be ready for farming, and lastly, is to browse the market for things he needed such as essential skills like cooking in the wild, carpentry, also he wants to see if he had missed any function in the interface and maybe browse the auction, maybe he could get lucky one more time, its highly unlikely but he still wants to test his luck.
Ren then went home leaving Yoruichi as he is sure that she'll follow him anyway, she just loves messing with him.
When he reached their home, he saw Elder Fukasaku, Elder Shima, and a middle aged man who had a spiky white hair and red lines under his eyes.
"Good evening, Elder Fukasaku, Elder Shima... May I know who this gentleman is?" Ren asked. Although he didn't completely trust the two elder frogs, he could at least converse with them normally but he would never let his guard down.
"Good evening to you as well, Ren-boy. This gentleman... you speak of, is a massive pervert in Konoha but his skills are real. His name is..." Elder Shima was about to speak when the man stepped forward and examined him from head to toe making Ren weirded out by him.
"Elder Shima... he isn't into guys righ-" Ren was cut off by the man who looks angry at his remarks.
"OF COURSE NOT. I MAY BE A PERVERT BUT I LIKE BIG SOFT 'OOMPH' AND THE SOUND OF 'BOING'. SO I'M NOT INTO GUYS, OKAY!?" The man said to defend himself.
"Jiraiya-boy! What are you doing?! I told you that we want you to meet the young man who is also tied with the child of prophecy because you are also tied with the child of prophecy!" Fukasaku shouted angrily at Jiraiya and pulled his ear and dragged him.
'Child of Prophecy? Me? Tied with him? Did the old toad saw a glimpse at the future once again and saw me?' Ren's mind is spinning and is thinking of the possibilities. One thing is for sure, the child of prophecy that is being talked about that is also tied with him is going to be a major figure in the future.
"I'm so sorry about the shameful display, Ren-boy. That's just how Jiraiya-boy is. We treat him as a friend here at Mount Myoboku because he is also the same as you who is predicted to come here by accident. He is also a contractor of the toads and has made a summoning contract with Gamakichi's father, Gamabunta. Also, it would be better if the young lady who is with you earlier to hide for a while because she might get harassed by Jiraiya." Elder Shima said while glancing at the cat yawning at a tree.
"Elder Shima... what is that thing about the child of prophecy? Why am I included in it? I don't have anything that stand out. I'm just an average joe who just wants to start farming..." Ren said to Elder Shima.
"I know that you just want to farm and be a civilian, Ren-boy but don't sell yourself short. You have a good attitude, polite, and hardworking, that alone makes you a great person. As for the prophecy, I don't know, the old toad only informed us that you are also tied with the child of prophecy... Why don't we go inside and wait for the two to come back and talk about it?" Elder Shima said and Ren nodded.
What Ren lacked the most is information.
He knows that he's in Mount Myoboku but he doesn't know anything outside of it. He heard about Konoha from the elders but he didn't know what it is or where it is. He doesn't even know the common sense and common practice of this world. He simply lacked the most basics of the information that's why he wants to use this opportunity to gain information.

Mulch is any material that is spread or laid over the surface of the soil as a covering. It is used to retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds, keep the soil cool, and make the garden bed look more attractive
Spading Fork is a variety of garden fork that is used to loosen and dig up the soil.
As for letting the soil breathe, even if worms don't live in the poisoned lands, there are millions of microorganisms that live in the soil and they need oxygen to breathe as well.
