"I'm sure you all have already read the original script, so I won't go over it, as for the new script..." Director Ray paused and leaned in towards them his eyes grave.
The girls leaned in, in response while Ms. Sofia merely raised an eyebrow as she remained in her seat. Her attitude indifferent to whatever the director was about to say.
"Actually the new script..." when the director saw he had gotten their attention he stared them straight in the eye before he continued.
The girls stared at him with rapt attention waiting for his next words when-
"Doesn't exist"
The girls nearly keeled over when they heard the rest of his sentences.
Seeing the girls chocking on his words, the director let out a light laugh, his eyes shining with a slightly mischievous light drawing the resentful gaze of the three girls.
Seeing the gazes that threatened to bury him alive Director Ray hid his smile before coughing lightly and put on a straight face.
"Okay, enough joking let's get serious."
The girls rolled their eyes at him in their heads. Since when were they not serious, he was the one not being serious.
Director Ray chuckled again at their responses. Their emotions were plainly shown on their faces and he really liked this aspect of new stars. They were much less scheming than veterans, it made them much easier to work with, additionally, the experience was also more pleasurable.
He addressed them again, "It's not that I didn't come up with a script, but I think it would be better to let you make your own story. Other than making sure the story ends with the white swan and the prince going off together...,"
He paused for a second whilst a smile spread across his face as he continued, "I leave the rest up to your discretion."
"Our discretion?" Nicole and the others stared dumbfounded; they had never met such an unreliable director in their life! What did he mean by their discretion! Since when had they signed up to be directors?
Thousands of black crows flew past them in their minds as they thought up to this point.
"Like I said, I have high expectations of you guys, but of course, should I not be pleased with the results we will go by the script I wrote initially." The director interrupted their thoughts as he stated blandly the hint of mischief in his eyes gone.
"By old script do you mean... " Ms. Sofia was the one to ask this time.
"Yes, there will only be two swans in the commercial," the director replied expressionlessly.
A silence filled the room as he said this statement. The silence was awkward as they all stared at the director each holding their own thoughts.
Finally, Nicole said, "That will not be necessary."
Hearing this, the director looked at the confident young girl in surprise, "I think you might be right. Well you guys can go head to wardrobe, meet me at the set in 20."
With that he walked off.
After he left the first one to get up and head for wardrobe was surprisingly Nicole. There was no hint of panic in her demeanor just a confidence that swept you in."
