CHAPTER 14

~THURSDAY~

After a very long day at school and work the day before, Noelle had woken up extremely exhausted, but she had no other option seeing as she had school in the next few hours.

Her bones creaked as she walked towards the sink to brush her teeth. After she was done, she turned on the cold water in hopes of it healing her a little bit.

She got out of the shower and felt the pains in her body had subsided a little, she went through her daily routine of blow-drying her hair and picking out an outfit.

Because that morning was cold, she picked out a white turtle neck and black jacket, white jeans, and a black shoe. She proceeded to go wake up Maya, and to her surprise, she was already awake and in the shower.

"Maya, I'm gonna make breakfast so maybe by the time you're done I'll be gone," Noelle yelled. "Okay leave me some of the breakfast," Maya replied.

"I will, I always do," Noelle said as she descended the stairs to make breakfast.

She settled for a simple breakfast- bacon, eggs, and toast. She made herself a cup of tea and ate to her heart's content.

By the time she was done it was 7:23 am, and she headed out to class. When she got out Noah was waiting for her. "Why do you always scare me like that," Noelle said a little frightened.

"What did I do," Noah exclaimed. "I was just waiting for you,"

"Then next time come inside, it's cold out here," Noelle said. They went straight to class and took their seats.

Noelle had actually finished reading the book given to her by Noah, so she asked him for another one. "Hey Noah, uh could you give me another one of your books I'm done with this one," Noelle said holding up the book.

"How did you read it so fast?! It took me four days to finish it," Noah exclaimed. "Hm, if something piques my interest, I do my best to get it done, and well I got it done, so another one," Noelle replied, holding out her hands.

Noah handed her a new book about the well-known detective-Sherlock Holmes.

"A study in scarlet, hm I'll get this done soon enough," Noelle said quoting the title of the book. Noah looked at her and noticed there was a faint gleam in her eyes every time she turned the page over.

'She must really like reading,' Noah thought.

After their first lesson, it was time for them to go for their first break. Noah told Noelle he had somewhere to be so Noelle went over to the library, to read the book in peace.

As she turned over each page it kept her on the edge of her seat, and the librarian stared at her with sheer curiosity.

Noelle barely comes here, and when she does it's either for project work or to do her assignments, what happened? I guess people change huh.

Just when she was at the end of her chapter, the bell rang signaling break time was over. She closed the book and headed straight to class for her next lesson.

School had ended and Noelle was on her way to her dorm when she met Noah. "Hey, where've you been, anyway I'm 'bout to finish the book," Noelle said.

"Well, no surprise there, but you always seem to surprise me," Noah replied. And Noelle felt a blush creeping near her face.

"So I'm going to an arcade before curfew wanna come," Noah said. Noelle glanced at her watch it was 2:45 pm, so she had enough time till she had to go to work. "Ok, but I have to get back by, 4:30 pm, I have work today, and while we're at it could we get something to eat," Noelle said.

"Yes Noelle anything you'd like," Noah said chuckling.

I really feel bad about doing this to you Noelle but I really have to or else I have to pay the price.

Unknown to Noelle she was following Noah to her doom and there was no way back.

"Thanks, Noah I really needed this," Noelle said. "No problem, I'm here for you 24/7," Noah replied.

Noelle quickly texted Maya to tell her she'd be out. "What?! who's gonna cook for me now," Maya exclaimed. "Just order take out I'll be back to cook you a proper meal," Noelle replied.

"Ok, have fun you need it," Maya texted. "Thanks, bye see you later," Noelle replied.

After ten minutes of driving, they reached their destination and Noah escorted Noelle out of the car. They entered the arcade and started playing.

To Noah's surprise, Noelle was failing every game she played, in contrast to what he had heard. "Noelle you're losing at an incredibly fast rate," Noah teased.

"Oh shut it, I'm better than you at video games," Noelle retorted. "Ok, ma'am," Noah said raising his hands.

They continued playing at the arcade for a complete hour and Noelle told Noah she was ready to go and that she was hungry. "Noah, I'm tired and hungry," Noelle whined.

"Then what do you want darling," Noah teased. "Let's go to the drive-thru closest to here," Noelle replied.

Noelle ordered chicken and fries and Noah ordered a chai latte because he claimed he was not that hungry.

On their way back from the drive-thru, Noelle noticed that Noah took a different route than the earlier one, but she paid no mind because she thought Noah was taking a short cut.

Noah offered Noelle a chai latte he had earlier bought for her. "Take this it will help you take your mind off the long drive," Noah said. "Thanks, Noah you've done so much for me in the past few days than someone I know," Noelle said.

True to his words the chai latte helped Noelle relax and she felt all her stress leaving her. Then she felt he wanted to sleep she tried to fight it but to no avail and she quietly napped.

Where am I and why does my head hurt, my vision feels all blurry.

Noelle raised her hands to touch her head but found out it was tied up. She opened her eyes and found herself in an unfamiliar place.

"Maya if this is one of your sick pranks I'll kill you," Noelle yelled, but no one answered. All she remembered was she was with Noah before she fell asleep. She turned her head in hopes of finding him next to her but there was no one there.

"Well, well, well look who we have here if it isn't Noelle Silver herself," A familiar voice said, but she couldn't pinpoint the person.

"You've played right into my trap and you're not going anytime soon, not unless I let you.....which I will not so you're gonna be here with me until I dispose off of you," The person said.

Noelle heard footsteps approaching her but she didn't have anywhere to run to, As the person knelt in front of her she recognized the person, the only person she hated most.

"Olivia?!," Noelle uttered. "Right here sweetheart," Olivia responded
