A new friend

The eighth mage walked over to where Amelia was. "Hey, I won't hurt you I just need to check that you're okay that's all," the eighth mage said calmly. Amelia laid on the ground and watched as the mage began to examine her with her magic. "The child is okay so is Amelia thankfully," the eighth mage said relived a little. "Now as for you demon queen Rose, tell us why the world changed," the first mage said demandingly. "Because I did it," a voice called out from behind. When we turned and looked it was the same spirit.

"Tsk I really would've thought that the child wasn't important to you till I did some research and found out that the child was yours," the voice said annoyed. "Yeah, my name's Stella princess of the fox spirits," she said eagerly. "We don't care, do you have any idea how important Amelia is to the mages?" the second mage said rudely. "Nope and I don't care," Stella said in a teasing tone. The second mage balled her fist up and tried to contain her magic.

"Shh it's okay, calm down," the fifth mage said. The second mage sighed and let out a loud gasp. "Yeah that's what I thought, calm down," Stella said in a sarcastic tone. The fifth mage let go of the second mages hand and said good luck. The second mage was furious and she didn't hesitate to fire a spell at Stella due to how angry she was.

Stella barely dodged the spell right before it hit her body. "Tsk that was a very weak spell," Stella said with an attitude. "Stop, please," Amelia called out. The mages nodded their heads and walked away. "Go away please you've caused enough havoc for today," I said to Stella. "Very well your majesty,"Stella replied.

(With Leo and Skylar) "Skylar!" Leo called out. "Leo I'm over here," Skylar called out. Leo could hear the tears of the baby from a distance. Leo was rushing through the forest trying to find Skylar and the baby. "Leo help me," Skylar pleaded. Skylar was using her body to protect the baby from two mages. "Hey! Who's Leo?" One of the mages called out. "That would be me," Leo said as he hit one of the mages.

"Skylar you have to run," Leo whispered. "Leo I can't I have Ocean with me," Skylar said tearfully. Leo sighed as he held up his sword. "Well be glad Rose moved me from chef to commander of the knights," Leo said with a little bit of joy. Skylar smiled at the man she knew she loved. "Leo come here," Skylar said softly. As Leo approached her she leaned in and kissed him. "Just in case we die here we may die knowing we loved each other," Skylar said tearfully. "Hey when this is all over I'll take you to my favorite waterfall," Leo said calmly. Skylar could see the heartbreak in Leo's eyes as he knew he may not live. "I love you Leo," Skylar said softly. "I love you too Skylar," Leo said calmly. As they gave each other one more kiss Leo kissed ocean on the forehead.

Ocean too young to realize that her dad may die today she giggled and gave him a hug. "Are you done?" the mage called out. "I don't care about your family or you," the mage added on. "All I'm here for is my money. I need it to pay for my mother's medical help so if you'll say your goodbyes I'll take y'all out together," the mage said with a crack in her voice. "Why must you take us out," Skylar called out. "Because I can't stand seeing other children who have their parents when I can't get mine!" The mage said angrily.

"What if you became a parent?" Skylar suggested. "I would be so happy but apparently no one likes a level 6 mage," the mage said tearfully. "How old are you?" Leo said curiously. "22 and there's no place for me. I'm too weak to become a royal mage and I'm too strong to become an apprentice mage," the mage said with a little heartbreak. "How about you work for queen Rose," Skylar said confidently. "She's the best queen and she loves all her people. She doesn't care who you are unless you're evil," Skylar said proudly.

"Can I really do that?" The mage said hesitantly. "You can," Leo said confirming it. "Fine then I shall work for queen Rose," the mage said excitedly. "Wait! What about my mother," the mage said concerned. "Take her to one of the clinics in the villages she'll be good as new in no time," Leo said happily. The mage bowed and ran away from Skylar and Leo. Both Skylar and Leo sighed in relief and held on to their baby girl.

"Let's go home," Leo said calmly. Skylar nodded her head and followed Leo back to the castle.
