The living room was well furnished with state of the arts design having a fireplace in the middle of the room.

Flank each side with a sofa and a pair of chairs, and  a large coffee table in the middle. Leaving the side opposite the fireplace open to allow entrance into the seating area.

" How far I have come",  Megan Stark cannot help but wonder sitting down on a sofa as her eyes roamed around the beautiful, well furnished and expensive house that belongs to her billionaire husband.

She didn't expect to have made it this far from a poor homeless girl to becoming the wife of a billionaire.

Thorne Jordan Macallan self made billionaire and owner of  "MACALLAM" corporation world wide made up of various companies which was into virtually everything that made money walked into the sitting room and came in contact with his wife Megan sitting down turning her head here and there admiring the interior decorations of his house. He called it " his house" because to him, she will never own anything that belongs to him, no matter what she does.

She was putting on a straight brown gown that flow downward and stop at her toes you could only see her painted red nails peeking out a bit, her face was devoid of make up but still look so beautiful. She has a beauty mark on the right side of her upper lips which made her look more enchanting. She was every man's wet dream.

TJ has always heard the saying that looks can be deceiving and he had always wondered how, until he met Megan who looks like the very epitome of innocent but was not really as he had come to know her and discovered how greedy she really is.

She was a pretender, a two timer and also a slut.. she was someone who he can never underestimate as she was capable of anything.

Why he really decided to marry her was something that he himself can't really explained.

He sighed to announce his presence which prompt her to look at him.

"Hey! you are home", she said fidgeting as she watched him sit down on the sofa opposite her.

"Yes, I am", he replied watching her adjusting her dress.

He wondered if she was doing all this to make him notice her which will never happen no matter how she tries.

" How was your day?", She asked feeling nervous watching his face closely to note his expression.

"Quit the chitchat Meg I am not interested", he said with his face devoid of any emotion.

His words cut her deep and she muttered "I am sorry" lowly.

" We are not playing house", he said standing up abstruptly. " We both know why we got married" he said as he walked out on her.

She looked pale all of a sudden he didn't need to remind her of it. Megan never for one minute forget why they got married.

Even if she did, the way he looks at her is enough to make her remember because he see her as nothing more than a gold digger, an opportunist and a slut.

Megan had contacted him months ago requesting for his help which he had initially turned down. But he surprisedly reach out to her few days later requesting her to marry him in return for the help he would render.

She had been speechless by his odd request , asked him if there was no other option but he had insisted so she had no choice but to agree to be his wife.

Before their marriage he has given her a couple of rules stating that outside they would be a couple but inside they are not, she is just his wife in name only.

Outside, she has to play the role of a loving wife to him and he will equally do the same to her. She had to sign a prenup agreement meaning if she decides to leave the marriage she will go the way she came which was with nothing.

She had readily agreed because she wanted his help so badly and she didn't have a choice to reject his offer even though he had reasons best known to him for deciding to marry her despite their pasts...

Since the incident years ago, the way people look at her was different and when Tj announced their marriage it had come like a huge shock to a lot of people including his parents and her family. The magazines and newspapers castigated her asking how she got him back wrapped around her finger, the blogs carried the news and there was millions of commenting on it all against her.

She had been shocked when she read it with so many negative comments about her then but she had decided to go into the marriage with positivity that they could become friends.

She was just trying to be nice, she had her wishful thinking that they could be friendly with each other from there anything can happen.

She wanted the man she knew years ago back just like in the past which she lost due to a mistake, a mistake which made her loose her boyfriend, best friend and home in one day.

If she can reverse back the hand of the time she wondered if she would have done what she did.
