Life or love

I couldn't get Chloe off my mind I would think about her all day and even forget about my problems this also made me to start neglecting my sister we would always spend time together after school, but all that changed immediately I found out that Chloe felt the same way I felt about her.

"Where are you going Mike"

Aurora had caught me red handed I was climbing down the hill to go see Chloe.

"I want to go buy something" I lied.

"Really the same thing you've been going to buy for two days now" She said folding her hands.

She knew I had been sneaking out for two days now.I didn't realize that it would be easy for her to find out, the feelings I had for Chloe just didn't let me realize that.

"I don't know what you are talking about"

"Really because I saw somebody walk down that hill yesterday and the day before yesterday"

"I don't know maybe it was in your dreams" I said.

"Stop it Mike I know you are going to see Chloe"

"No I'm not"

"Then why are you wearing that much cologne to go buy whatever"

"I need to smell nice"

"And you dyed your hair"

"I don't see anything wrong with it"

"And you are wearing your favorite shoe"

"Am I" I said,and looked down to my feet.

"Oh yes I am" I gasped.

She had busted the odds but I wasn't willing to admit it yet.

"But still, that doesn't prove anything"

"Alright if you are not going to say the truth.I am going to tell mom and dad" She said and turned to leave.

"Aurora come back" I called pulling myself up.

" Yes" She said, walking up straight to my face.

"I will admit it" I said in defeat.

"I knew it, that's why you've been neglecting me lately"

" You think I'm neglecting you?"

"I don't think, you are neglecting me"

She was right I have been neglecting her so I found a way to make her feel better.I pulled her into my hands and gave her a warm hug.

"I'm sorry sis I promise I will make up for it"

" You promise?"

" Yes I promise"

" Can I go now?" I said after a few minutes of silence.

"Sure" She said pulling away from my body now.

"Thank you sis" I said,and kissed her forehead.

"Have a nice date"

Then she stood there watching me as I climbed down.It was really a pain on me thirty whole minutes of tiresome climbing just too see a girl plus Aurora had already wasted a lot of time, which meant I had to hurry to meet Chloe in time.Well I just ran in order to meet up with her.

"What's she doing there?"

Aurora spotted Chloe on our way down from the hill.Chloe told me earlier that she wanted to walk to school with me, but I didn't know that she meant it,if you come to think of it,it was a really cute thing to do though.

"Haven't seen her enough during the weekend?" Aurora felt disgusted.

"She just wants to walk to school with us Aurora"

"Yeah as if" She said turning away from me now.

"Aurora you shouldn't be jealous she's just a friend"

"She looks like more than that to me"

She was right we were more than friends but that didn't change anything we still behaved like normal friends.The jealous Aurora was feeling didn't allow her to express herself clearly again.

"Don't you ever have problems while climbing up and down there?" Chloe asked as soon as we came down.

"Do you want us to?" Aurora said in a rude manner.

"Aurora!"

"Is she okay?" Chloe whispered.

"Don't worry she just had a bad night"

"Oh you don't I'm okay" Chloe said being rude again.

"We should go" I said,and pulled Chloe aside.

"What is wrong with your sister?"

"Like I said just a bad night"

"Are you sure everything is okay?"

"Yes perfectly fine" I said acting nervous.

Aurora's altitude really pissed me off but I tried not to show it so that Chloe wouldn't suspect anything.I walked to school that morning with Chloe while Aurora purposefully walked slowly behind us.

"Mike stop"

"What?" I asked,as I stopped walking.

"I think something's bugging your sister and you are keeping it from me"

"Alright she's not happy that I've been hanging out with you lately"

"You mean she's jealous"

"Yes something like that" I just didn't want to say the word jealous.

"Poor girl.Let me go talk to her"

"I don't think that's a good idea" I said pulling her back.

"Why.she really needs someone to talk to"

"I know but she could murder you with words now"

I was right if she had gone Aurora would have murdered her with wonderful words.

"Don't worry we will talk to her later but we'll do it together"

"Okay"

It was time for lunch break, Chloe was going to be busy with volleyball practice,so I decided to use the time to finish up a book I was reading.I have been reading for thirty minutes when suddenly a group of boys walked there were four of them,at first I thought they just came to pick up something from my class, until they walked up to desk.

"Can I help you?" I asked looking up to the large figures standing in front of me.

They all started laughing like did I say anything funny?

"Yes but first you drop that book" One of them hit my book of my hand.

I was been bullied here by a group of four boys no men calling them boys was an understatement because they were clearly way older than me.

"Who are you and what do you want?" I asked trying to remain calm.

"The name's Chris and I got information that you've been dating my girlfriend" The one who was Infront said.

Now it all came back to me, this was what Lisa was talking about.But how did a group of men like this come into the school and what relationship did this Chris have with Chloe.

"I'm sorry sir but I don't understand what you are saying"

They started laughing again.

"Ok let me make it clear to you"

He pulled me up and sticked his face to mine as he spoke.

"Stay away from Chloe because she is my wife!"

"Huh"

"Oh you still don't get it"

"I think you should be a little louder" One of the other men said.

"I said stay away from Chloe fool" he screamed into my ears.

I really needed a saviour here because this guy was willing to beat me up if I didn't say the words he wanted me to say.Luckily for me Chloe walked in looking for her face towel.

"What are you doing here Chris?"

"It's none of your business"

"Well it's my business that you are holding my friend"

"He's getting in my way"

" Drop him he did nothing to you!"

" Why don't come over here and make me"

" That's it I'm calling the principal"

" Ok ok we are going" Chris said and dropped carelessly on my desk.

It was an unusual way to give up.

" I'm not done with you boy" he pointed back to me.

" What is your problem?" Chloe asked as he walked past her.

" You are my problem"

"I don't want to be your wife is that too hard to understand"

"Yes" Chris answered and laughed his way out of the door with his friends.

"What is all this!" Chloe screamed.

I could tell she was feeling frustrated.

"What's the problem?" I asked acting as if I didn't see and hear everything that just happened.

"That's Chris, the man that wants my hand in marriage but I refused, for that he tortures and bullies any boy that comes close to me until they start avoiding me"

Well that explains a lot about her because I always wondered how could a girl be as beautiful as that and yet none of the boys in the class talks to her.

"Don't worry that won't work on me"

"It's only a matter of time before you start avoiding me" She sobbed.

"Hey hey hey it's okay" I said cleaning her tears.

"I will never avoid you.I have never known a girl as well as I know you and that is just too much to give up"

"You don't know what you are going up against,he is ruthless"

"I don't care, for you I will do it"

"Really"

"Yes"

"Owwww you are the best" She said and hugged me.

"I have to get back to practice now take care" She cleaned her tears as she walked through the door.

"See you later"

I had just promised Chloe that I would never leave her no matter the amount of bullying that Chris gave me, but was I really up to it was I ready to give up my life for my love well let's just say it didn't take long before I realized that.

"Are you ready?"

I forgot that I was going to talk to my sister over her altitude this morning with Chloe when I made that promise I really didn't mean it I just wanted to stop Chloe from going to talk to her, but a promise is a promise and I had one to fulfill.

"For what?" I asked pretending not to know what she was talking about.

"Talk to you sister silly" She said punching my shoulder.

"Ouch"

"Come let's hurry before she leaves her class"

When we got to Aurora's class we looked through the glass window to see that she was sitting alone in the class alone feeling lonely.

"I think you should let me do this alone"

"Okay" I agreed immediately because I didn't have time for Aurora trouble.

Chloe went in to talk to Aurora while I took pleasure to relax on the wall and wait for them I didn't even bother to find out what they were saying.In less than thirty minutes they both came out of the class chatting and laughing I was perplexed like what happened in there.

"What did you tell her or even do to her?" I asked Chloe

"Well.... Let's just say it's a girl secret" She replied.

She Walked out with Aurora still talking and something told me I was about to become the jealous one.
