2 Chapter 2

Mitsuki started to panic when he saw Marisong at the door. How much had she heard?

"Mikki...you're leaving Temple?" Marisong had both her hands in front of her mouth, tears starting to collect at her eyes.

"Marisong...I...I," Mitsuki stuttered. He didn't know what to say. Raze looked at Marisong, then her song and put on her major general face.

"Marisong, this is a private discussion between myself and my son. Please excuse us." Marisong nodded and left, closing the door behind her.

"Mom!"

"I'm sorry Mitsuki, but the decision has been made. You've been stuck at the orange level for too long and I know you can do better. I think Saber will be good for you, and I'm sorry that you won't see your friends at school, but you can always make new ones."

"It's easy for you to say! I can't just leave now. You know how much Saber and Temple hate each other! Not everyone is like you and dad."

"But how do you know, if you don't try?"

Mitsuki didn't know what else to say, and turned his back on his mother.

-----

Later that night, Mitsuki called Marisong to explain. She picked up and without waiting for him to explain, she said "I can't talk to you anymore Mikki. You know how people at Temple hate Saber. If people know I'm talking with you, they won't be friends with me anymore. I'm really sorry Mikki, but we can't talk for awhile. Maybe after you graduate." Marisong hung up. Mitsuki threw his phone on the ground and screamed into his pillow. He immediately ran to the training room in his house and started punching anything and everything.

-----

Pulled back to the present, Mitsuki went to find the first aid kit for his lip and wrapped his hands in bandages. Since he had no one else to talk to, all he did was train. He had improved his close combat skills and while they were now on par with his long-range skills, he knew that it didn't mean anything in a fight if his opponent was at a level blue. He felt frustration and anger and didn't know what to do with all his pent up emotions. Wiping the sweat off his forehead, he decided to talk to his mom at her office. Even though it was late at night, he knew she would still be working. They hadn't talked since his transfer and he refused to seek her out for any help. While Raze was saddened by their distance, she knew that he needed time and didn't push him. She left him alone to vent and train, waiting for her son to reach out to her. She still left food for him everyday and made sure she left little notes, even though she saw that they would pile in the trash. Mitsuki decided that today was the day he would tell his mom that he had to go back to Temple. He had been at Saber for months and nothing had changed. He had no new friends, his skills weren't getting better, and he was angry all the time. He wanted to go back to Temple and focus on his gun-skills. Putting on a black blazer, Mitsuki climbed into his car and drove to his mom's office in the city of Sabel.
