63 Fairy God Mother (1)

Mia stepped out of the bus filled with purpose. She looked around the place, looking for the person who was supposed to help her. She checked her watch to make sure she wasn't late.

"It's still early, maybe she was stuck in traffic." Mia thought to herself.

At the other side, near the fountain, people seem to be gathering like drones. Mia was interested to look, but their meeting place was in front of the mall, so she suppresses her curiosity and stayed where she's at. Not long after, the drone of people parted like how Moses divided the sea to let his people cross.

"How nice, people move out of the way for one person to pass," Mia thought.

Mia was dumbfounded when she saw a beautiful woman with flowing black hair waving her hands as she smiled beautifully towards her. The person causing the commotion did not care for the other people staring and following her like zombies smelling fresh blood.

"You're finally here." Stephanie grabbed her hand as they walked together inside the mall.

"I'm so happy you called me. Let's try out a lot of dresses, shoes and make-up. Let's get you a haircut. Not too much as it would be a waste to cut it short. It feels soft and smooth so we'll leave the length just like that." Stephanie was even more excited than Mia as they walked. Stephanie even extends her arms to feel Mia's hair.

The people around were surprised to see the beautiful girl leave with such a plain-faced woman.

"She was waiting for her?" A tall man asked full of surprise in his voice.

They could not believe it.

"Maybe it was her long lost childhood friend." Another man chimed in.

"Why don't we ask them out? I'll take the beautiful lady while you go out with the plain face girl." His friend said in a joking manner as he laughed out loud.

"Why don't we switch then since you sound so happy, huh?" The tall man said to his friend with a scowl.

"Have you seen her clothes? Was she from the 90's? Even my mom wears something more fashionable than her!" The tall man said as if it was his loss to be seen with such a girl.

"Bro, it's the inside that counts right?" The other person said. It seems his friend was egging him on as he found the beautiful girl to his taste.

"No matter how you put it. If you want to approach them, go ahead. I'm not stopping you. Just don't take me as a sacrifice for the other girl." The tall man seemed angered by his friends joking and went ahead and walked away from the group of people.

"Hey don't be mad bro. I was just playing around. I'll treat you to some beer." The other man said cheerfully following after their friend.

The other people dismissed themselves as the two ladies left and were out of view. Some were rooted in their place, they could not believe what just happened, while others followed the beautiful woman with their eyes.

However, no one had the balls to approach the beautiful lady. She did not look intimidating rather she looked ethereal, she seemed like a person that one should not corrupt with worldly matters. They can appreciate her beauty but never come close. That's what every man was thinking when they saw her appearance.

The fountain became the backdraft while the woman was the masterpiece in a canvas. It was too late to realize they did not get the chance to take a picture. They left with sadness and grief for not taking the chance to take a single photo.

Stephanie was unaware of how big a commotion she had made in her wake. She was just minding her own business as she waited for Mia near the fountain. She got there ahead of time, with so much time to spare, she decided to look around the fountain area as it looked beautiful from afar. The lights were turned on with different hues and colors alternating like a light show under the water. She just stood her with her plain light blue dress, long black hair and simple doll shoes. She looked normal, that's what she thought.

She had no idea that other people looked at her like a fairy under a mystical fountain when she stood there. She thought it was normal for other people to pass by the fountain and appreciate its beauty, so she ignored the sudden increase of people around her. No one bothered her so she did not care. Her only worry was she might not be able to see Mia once she comes out from the bus.

In the end, they were all worries as she was able to find Mia when she stepped out of the bus. She left her spot and approached Mia without delay as she showed her smiling face to welcome her friend.

She was glad the people were kind enough to give way once she started to head out.
