Daniel Peacock saw Cherish Turner go to the women's restroom. At first, he thought he was mistaken, but when she came out, he knew it was her.
Cherish glanced at him, hesitated briefly, and then pretended not to know him as she continued walking.
"Cherish!" Daniel stepped forward and grabbed her, only to be met with a glare from Cherish.
"Let go!" Now, all Daniel could make her feel was disgust, nothing else.
"Cherish, please don't be like this. Can we talk?"
"Who are you? Do I know you? Sorry, sir, but I have nothing to discuss with a stranger." Indeed, to her, he was now nothing but a stranger.
That day at the mall, she had held back due to his fiancée and Lewis being present. Now, she didn't need to consider anyone else.
Daniel knew he was in the wrong, so he released her, but he had no intention of letting her go.
She was also the happiness he had desperately tried to grasp during his naive youth.
