Fiona felt warm as she smiled beautifully at Malacai.

Time passed. Eleanor opened her eyes, finding herself inside a moving car. She felt a bit dizzy as the anesthetic was just wearing off. 

The last memory she had was of Caeli telling her that she wanted to bring her for treatment and then asking her to drink a glass of water.

The next thing she knew, she was knocked out. Caeli did this because she didn't want to waste time explaining things to Eleanor.

"Mom, you are awake? How do you feel?" Nerissa asked. 

She was now sitting in the back beside Eleanor while Malacai was driving with Caeli at his side.

"Riri? Where am I?"

"We are on the way home. You just got some treatment for the leftover wound."

Eleanor frowned, "Caeli, you could at least tell me about that."
